We really liked it here. We brought our dogs and found a quiet corner. As we were walking in a group of people saw the dogs and were really welcoming. We were from out of town and it was so friendly. A waitress saw the dogs and came over to say hello because she had the same kind of dog. Our beer was very good. The patio is large and there is plenty of seating inside. Insanely overpriced and poor customer service from management. They used to offer a "growler" where you buy a 64 oz glass jug and can bring it in to refill with beer for about $20. My husband went in to fill one of ours with crush berry sour to take on our trip out east for our east coast friends to try. When he handed them the growler and asked for a fill up of crush berry, they confiscated the growler jug and handed him a puny 32 ounce bottle of the sour without explaining anything. My husband asked about it and they said that they "don't do growlers anymore." They then proceeded to charge him SIXTEEN DOLLARS for the 32oz jar. When a jug double the size recently was sold for $20. My husband, while confused and disappointed, politely paid and left. Two minutes into his drive home, the (puny and overpriced) jug started leaking beer all over the car. He turned right back around and while the bartender was very kind and apologetic, the manger refused to refund him and said all they can do is either refill it again or take the product back and issue a refund. Needless to say we will not be returning. So disappointing. read more

Bacon fries, street corn dip, crab cakes,and pretzel bites. All were super tasty only suggestion I have is warm cheese for the pretzel bites. Most of us ordered beer flights & I got a sour flight. Stop me if you've heard this. Microbrew with great beer but terrible food. Or. Trendy restaurant with good food but a horrible beer selection. Those are so common they borderline on stereotypical. What isn't common is a microbrew that actually has a diverse menu with really great food. That is what you get at Lion Bridge. The beer selection was incredible. While I had never had any of their beers previously, after sampling several of them, I can tell you that I easily could've had a pint of each with much enjoyment. (Although, I am not sure there would've been much enjoyment the next morning.). I settled on their Oktoberfest 3000, which is a whiskey barrel aged beer that is big on flavor and really packs a punch. (This lightweight was feeling it after one) As an appetizer we chose the sausage, cheese, and peppers charcuterie. Does anyone ever feel they get enough when ordering that? when the waitress presented it, I felt as if I could eat the entire board myself. Nonetheless, I needed to share it with my date. It was incredibly tasty. The sausage was very flavorful and the peppers were heavenly. However, for the price, it didn't seem like it was worth it. For dinner, I chose the roasted beet and sweet potato flat bread pizza with goat cheese. Good Lord. That sounds so hipster one would think that I needed to eat it while wearing a derby hat and riding a unicycle. Regardless of what headwear or mode of transportation, it was incredible. Seriously. One of the best flatbread pizzas I have ever had. The bread itself was an amazing combination of crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside. I don't know why it has taken me so long to visit this place. My first visit was just over a month ago and I think I have been back 4 or 5 times. I don't think I have had a bad beer here yet. The place is well little and roomy, very comfortable! They also have bands every once and a while. It can get a little loud from time to time but with the big vaulted ceilings you can still hear your conversations. I have only tried a few of the appetizers but I do remember them being very tasty. From their firkins to their tappings, I go to Lionbridge Brewery frequently for their delicious beer releases. Recently my favorite craft beer release from Lionbridge was their: Mea Pulpa, a double IPA with guava. The food at Lionbridge Brewery is amazing. Their charcuterie tray is delicious along with their rotating homemade desserts and entrees. During Houby Days in Czech Village where people celebrate morel mushrooms, Lionbridge Brewery made a mushroom beer that I was told by my friend was delicious and ran out fast. In the heart of Czech Village, Lionbridge Brewery is a classic-style little brewery, with a great venue for bands to setup and play, usually on Friday or Saturday nights. They also have a nice woodchipped patio for outdoor seating, while indoor seating ranges from cozy couches to nice wooden tables or high-top tables. It took a long time for our food to come out (the server was nice to come by and thank us for our patience) and when it did, it was meh. Amazing food, I got the buffalo sandwich and the sauce was delicious. I also got to try the lime cheesecake beer and it tasted just like cheesecake, so good! Our food took a little bit to get served BUT our server/bartender was so sweet and amazing we didn't mind waiting at all. He also made our wait worthwhile by giving us a couple drinks on the house. I would recommend any beer here especially the ones on limited release. Why wouldn't you want to try something that is only available for a short while. Now let's talk about The Witwer Chicken Sandwich! I can't stop thinking about the sriracha honey glaze and the garlic aioli with all the fixings..on a pretzel bun. I'm so glad we stumbled upon Lion Bridge while looking for a brewery with a kitchen. The taproom is pretty basic (though I was glad to see they had the football game on) but there is plenty of seating and a fairly large outdoor patio. The staff was a blast to interact with, and they were more than happy to spend time chatting about their beer list & favorite dishes. We ended up with pretzels & perogies along with a half-dozen beers to chase them down with. I was relieved to see that their beer list was more than just IPAs & sours; I prefer darker beers, so the Oktobot 3000 & The Spice Must Flow were my favorites of the bunch. I've been here a couple of times before, but on a nice sunny Sunday while out for a walk with a friend decided to stop in again. The Compensation is always a winner with me, but today I had a blood orange brew. It wss delicious in the winter and I can only imagine how good it would be on the patio on a nice warm day. The staff is exceptional. Super friendly and more than willing to help with choices. They had a nice band today playing music perfect for a lazy Sunday. I can't imagine the Czech Village without this place! This super-chic small batch staple on Main Street totally fits the New Bohemia vibe. It is exactly what you imagine when you think of a local brewery in Denver... but it's in Eastern Iowa. The finishes are industrial and cool, it's somewhere you'd want to spend Happy Hour. The beer is tasty (I totally recommend The Disaster at Meux) with food that is eclectic and ever changing. I had the pretzel with both the mustard and beer cheese. AMAZING. The mustard was perfect and I loved that the cheese was cold. Additionally-- the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and totally took pride in working for this small business! I loved that. Personally, I thought the pricing was a bit high. But ultimately, both the brews and bites were quality, so I'd spend a few extra bucks for the experience. I've been here a couple fo times now and I can't sing enough praises about Lion Bridge Brewing Company. AND, parking is a non issue, with plenty of lots behind the businesses on Main Street, as well as free two hour parking on the street itself. I will be back! Hopefully to check out their killer patio during the warmer months. And, I will be picking up a six pack at my local grocery store. It is TOTALLY rad they are selling canned brews. I love Lion Bridge for its beer and atmosphere. But I'm a food-focussed woman... and unfortunately the execution here is just not fantastic. The appetizers and "to share" plates are nothing exciting. The soft pretzel bites aren't actually that soft and the nachos are poorly constructed. As for main dishes, the burgers are your best bet. The Chana Masala wrap is truly a disappointment and nothing but a mouth-full of mush and the Korean BBQ tacos are weirdly wet and hard to eat... I had a giant puddle of cold pork juice on my plate after taking one bite, and still the pork was dry and bland. Don't write this place off though, I know I won't, it's still worth a visit for the great beer and awesome outdoor hangout. Just remember to come here after dinner. read more

Came here for the first time with a few friends to catch up. It wasn't a bad experience for us! I really love the location within Czech Village, and the parking easy peasy! The only thing I'm disappointed about is our waitress. She filled and refilled beers while never once asking if I'd like a refill. Maybe because it was just water? That shouldn't matter though. She disappeared for like 20-30 minutes without saying a word which sucked because we really wanted some cheese friends. By the time she came back it was like 9:05 pm and the kitchen had just closed at 9:00 pm. If she would've either stopped by to check things out twenty minutes earlier or even have us a kitchen closing warning then maybe we could've curbed the cheesy fries craving. The atmosphere was very laid back, except for our waitress who was... less laid back. I don't know how to explain what she was like, but it was a different experience for sure. I mean, she was extra nice. Very excited to be open and working I think. While this was a cool place to hang out, my friends and we decided it wasn't our "new spot" for our weekly outings. I would like to know where these good reviews are coming from. I went there with a group of 16 people and waited 20 minutes before we finally decided to get our own menus. After that took another 10 minutes for a waitress to finally acknowledge us and take our drink orders, another 10 minutes later we finally had our drinks. Trying to order additional drinks took an act of god as the waitress kept forgetting to put our order in and I finally had to ask another waitress to complete the order. Our waitress had an "I don't give a shit" attitude and "Life sucks" attitude. Then we get our food that was completely messed up and tasted like pure crap!!!Charged $3.75 to get fries instead of chips for multiple meals which is INSANE!!!!
