I'm so glad we did! McHugh's serves up elevated pub food in a warm and welcoming environment. We were able to be seated straight away. To begin our experience here, my dining companion and I both ordered Guinness. For my main, I got the salmon. It was cooked to perfection and places atop a bed of creamy mashed potatoes with a drizzle of a buttery sauce and a spear of asparagus. It also had a couple of tasty croquettas (I believe that's what they were!) on the side. Everything about the dish was outstanding. For dessert we got and shared the sticky toffee pudding (where have you been all my life?!?), which was rich, sweet, buttery goodness with both cream and ice cream on the side. I had fish and chips and it was great, no notes (my favorite of the trip, actually!). Unfortunately, my husband wasn't a fan of his burger. Service was prompt and the decor is fun, definitely a cozy pub. Aside from the disappointing burger, this was a good place for two tired travelers to land.
