As a full-time RV'er and KOA member, I've stayed at numerous KOA locations across both the US and Canada. This location is perfectly fine... certainly nothing to get excited about. What's going to ruin your time is if you have to talk to any of the employees in their yellow KOA shirts. Seems like they're there to police policies more than anything. I've been to Germany and they're less militant about their rules. (Another guest called them the "Gestapo"). If you choose to stay here, good luck to you and yours... do yourself a favor and stay away from the yellow shirts. As for me, my RV, and my extended family, we will not be staying here again... and I will be leaving negative reviews on every platform I use. read more

The bathrooms! Oh my gosh the bathrooms! Clean as can be! The showers are individual are quite spacious, perfect for moms or dads with littles. The staff went above and beyond, when they showed us to our site they realized to he people next to us had left their dogs unattended (which they weren't supposed to do and they staff had been trying to reach the owners) but the dogs were barking. So they offered to move us. And I think we got a better end of the deal! Not a hookup, but we refunded for the lack of a sewer line. It did t really matter since we're so close to the bathrooms anyway! The campground had a pool, a play ground, and a huge lawn for kids to run around. But I really can't gush enough about the staff! Amazing! WiFi seemed to disappear at night, which was a bummer, but all in all we'd stay here again! read more

Like some KOA's you'll find this one off the beaten path. It is located within close proximity to train tracks, so if you are one of those people who need absolute silence to sleep this KOA is probably not for you. We stayed at their basic cabin and while I realize the cabins are meant to be basic presentation does go a long way. The curtains were all different fabrics and there were limited outlets. There is only one main bathroom that contains the showers, if you are located on the opposite side of those (which we were) there is a very small bathroom that only has one stall and a sink meant for all to share in the neighboring areas. While they did keep this bathroom clean, for the life of me I can't imagine why they cleaned this bathroom at 8:30am! This is a prime time for people to use the bathroom -- for example, me. I waited for them to be done which took over 30 minutes, by that time I was regretting not going to the other one on the complete opposite side. read more

Cloquet / Duluth KOA - Campgrounds Near Me - Cloquet, Minnesota

Our stay at this KOA was great for our first time ever using our travel trailer at a KOA. Every staff we encountered was nice. We were in lot 49 which was back in the woods near a small but full size bathroom (no shower). The showers were up front which was a walk but totally doable and they felt clean, secure and safe. read more

The good: Sites are well kept, nice (but small) playground for the kids, nice (but also small) pool, close to Duluth and the north shore, nice showers. The not so good: WiFi is horrible, hot tub is tiny, they limit wood purchases and you're not allowed to bring your own in, hot tub is literally 4 person max unless you want a lot of touching, and apparently the posted office hours of 8am-8pm are more a potential open hours rather than actual open hours. Today it was almost 8:30 before anyone arrived and opened the store. Overall a decent campground. But some weaknesses that could be better. read more

The staff was willing to work with us and understand when we wanted to change sites. They helped accommodate us. 2nd time we've stayed at a Koa this year tenting and already planning a third stay in a cabin. Biggest downfall is the sites are close together and the train is quite loud early in the morning but not the koas fault. Pool was decent sized didn't go in it as there were a lot of kids and the water was chilly. Hot tub was down so we couldn't do that. Bathrooms are clean and the showers are nice with hot water. First of all I will say we seek out KOAs for their reputation. That being said we will critique when needed. First of all this place is very nice. Clean clean bathrooms and facilities. The pool is nice and heated. The hot tub was broken the week before our stay and the camp owner Bill was very concerned we may not enjoy our stay due to that fact. Although we love a good hot tub it's not a deal breaker. The spot we had was near the playground and the pool. And it was not loud at all. The grounds were well maintained and neatly groomed. They offer a septic service for free here as well as site trash pickup. Very nice. The store was also uber clean and had the necessities. I would have liked to have more grocery items and gadgets for camping but if you forget stuff they most likely have it. The grounds are off the beaten path but you will hear a train. It doesn't shake the ground or anything. We just ran the fan on our coach and it was not noticeable. Our kids slept right thru it. Railroads built this nation. You get used to it. Not a deal breaker at all. I recommend this koa above most I have been to. The owners care and keep the place nice clean and updated. Thanks. Prost! read more

It's a KOA sight so it's pretty standard . Pool store fire pits picnic tables, etc. Next to active train tracks, that start passing at 210am blowing a train horn & ringing a bell every hour until 8am! Internet didn't work while we were there. You'll have to escort any women you're with to the bathroom because , while the communal showers have individual locking doors (which you have to walk through to get to the bathrooms) the only thing separating the ladies rooms from the men's and showers are a set of shitty saloon doors. Enjoy the misquotes . 2 stars because at least the sights had electric hook up. read more

Stayed two nights, 6/28-6/29. Campsite was okay. No Wi-Fi after the first 5 minutes. Men's room had a broken water seal that leaked wastewater. We notified employees but, the next day it was still spewing waste. Also, No toilet paper. When my husband told them he needed toilet paper, they said they would get to it later. When he said he needed it now they were kind of huffy. Overall, staff seemed lazy and indifferent. Also, not that close to Duluth, about 20 minutes by freeway. read more

Love this cute, quiet, cozy campground. If you are looking for a small size campground, with CLEAN facilities, friendly staff, well maintained sites - this is your place. Great pool although small, hayrides, lantern lighting Friday nights. Feels clean and safe every time. We enjoy it very much. read more

Wow. Not going to even comment on the facility as it simply doesn't matter. What matters is that there is a high speed train tracks within a 100 yards of this place and a road crossing that requires the train to blow its horn. I don't mean the sound is off in the distance. We had a very nice weekend stay at this KOA. Our one-room cabin was very clean and comfortable. The grounds were well cared for, everything was clean and in good order, and the staff was very friendly. The showers were amazing! The only downside is a neighboring railroad track that got a bit noisy at times but this was definitely not a big problem. read more

Really close to the train tracks, train horn blaring quite a few times at night waking us up. Multiple loud campers after quiet hours and no camp personnel doing anything about it. This KOA compared to the others that I've stayed at is very sub par all around. read more

The staff was incredibly rude to us. Train is very close by and goes by multiple times at night. Cannot recommend them to anyone.

Would never stay here again. One star only because site had electricity and the bathroom, though inaccessible because the door lock was broken, was clean. Staff incredibly rude. We checked in when the campground was empty, it was very cold and snowing. We told Bill, the manager, that we would likely stay another day. He told us no problem, took us to our site. We left for our day's activities. Staff saw us at the campgrounds well past check out, our pop up was up, our gear at the site. KOA had my credit card as I used it to reserve the site. WE received a call at 5:15 pm from Bill, who told us that he moved our camper as we were due out that day!!! I asked if he had another site for us, he said yes. WE raced back, and Bill called me an ass and then told us to get the hell out. He was way over the top. So it was dark, late, and we had no place else to go, even though KOA was not full. To top it all off, there was nobody at our campsite!! It was so unnecessary and unpleasant and for no reason. Bill obviously needs a new job. Would never recommend. read more
