5/5 Stars - Incredible Experience with Closet Factory and Naz! We recently built a new home and were looking to get custom closets installed. After consultations with California Closets and Closet World, we were left feeling unimpressed with both. Fortunately, we came across Closet Factory through Costco, and it was the best experience from start to finish! Naz was our consultant, and she was absolutely amazing--kind, professional, and genuinely enthusiastic. She designed the perfect master walk-in closet for us, as well as fantastic closets for both of my kids. When construction delays on our house forced us to reschedule our original installation date, we were told the next available slot was two months out. I was so disappointed, but Naz went above and beyond to advocate for us and managed to get our closets installed right before our move-in date! Moving into a new house with fully organized closets already set up made a world of difference. I highly recommend Closet Factory, and if you can, make sure to request Naz! read more

It started out so great. The design, the customer service upfront, the communication, and then things slowly fell apart. I was asked to schedule a final measure. I was told I "was being difficult" as both my wife and I work. We finally found an afternoon the following week. He showed up in the morning. When told he wasn't expected until later in the day his response was, "Well I'm here now." Such a clear sign, but I chalked it up to a possible miscommunication. I was asked to schedule the demo and install a month out and they chose a Wednesday for me in September. Then they called me the week before the install date they gave me to let me know that they would be there the very next day. Mind you I got this call at 3 PM. I assured them that there was a mistake and that we would be ready for them the following week. When checking their schedule, I am nowhere to be found. My choices were the next day or the following Monday. So we rearranged our schedules to make it work the next day. I was assured that demo and install would take place on the same day. Demo was finished on the first day but the one person working by himself could not possibly do an entire install in one day. When I called to find out if another person was going to be sent, a manager assured me that another person was coming and that it would be completed that day. As the day got later and no one showed up, multiple calls and texts to the manger and designer were met with "Let me find out and get back to you." No one got did, not once, until they told me that the install would be completed the next day when thankfully, they sent two people. The next day when I called at 11:30 am to find out where they were I was told... wait for it... "Let me find out and get back to you." Again, no one called. They showed up around noon and finished that evening. You know what does take place on time? The billing, of course. So, am I happy with the end result? Sure of course. Would I recommend them to friends and family and fellow Yelpers? No, I can't. Poor communication, an inability to own a mistake, apologize, or even make it right with the customer is not a skill set that Closet Factory possesses. Time is money for all of us and not being able to keep their own schedule straight isn't anything a customer should have to put up with. There are a lot of options out there, find another one. I just had my entire Master Bedroom Walk-in Closet re-done by Closet Factory.. and I could not be happier! The quality of their Customer Service is Outstanding. The quality of their manufacturing and Workmanship is incredible! Working with Katie from San Clemente was a pleasure. This review has been a long time coming, but now that everything is finally 100% complete, including a final fix today for a hinge that came off track, I can finally share our full experience with Closet Factory (which we booked through Costco). While the road to get here had some significant bumps, the exceptional customer service from key team members ultimately saved the experience and delivered a product we are happy with. The Highs: Jackie (Closet Designer): Absolute perfection. Jackie was amazing to work with from the very beginning and brought a wealth of knowledge to the design process. Adam (Manager): Fabulous. After our initial installation setbacks, Adam stepped in, understood that things needed to be made right, and worked with us through the back and forth until the job was finished to our liking. He also ensured we were able to address and repair other issues caused by the first crew. Jabrina (Receptionist): A wonderful highlight throughout the administrative process. The Lows: The First Installation Crew: To put it lightly, "they were not it." The initial installation fell well short of expectations, significantly delayed our project past the initial end date, and unfortunately resulted in property damage that required subsequent repairs. Final Thoughts It was a long and exhausting journey to the finish line, but Jackie, Jabrina, and Adam truly were the shining highlights of the process. I sincerely hope that Closet Factory has taken steps to vet and find installers who are more considerate of people's time and personal property moving forward. I was at Costco and saw some information about closet upgrades and decided that would be a good place to start getting quotes. My wife had been working on organizing master closet and despite donations and dumpsters it was still a disorganized and random mess. I made an appointment and Jenna was communicating her ETA which was a good way to start the process. My wife was going to be available but was also running errands so I figured I would listen to the spiel and send the salesperson on their way. I was impressed with the design software and the details presented. I thought I knew what my wife wanted and we went with that layout as a baseline plan. However, when my wife showed up Jenna offered a slightly different layout based on her experience and my wife's affinity for shoes of all types styles and colors. We agreed together that the layout was better and had a quote presented. I was not planning on making a commitment, only an estimate but the value of what was offered exceeded my expectations so we signed up for the work. We had some minor communication problems which were entirely my fault but so pleased with the end result I felt it deserved credit to the craftsmanship of the installation, which required on site custom work no room is completely square especially in the house that has settled over 5 years from when it was built. Closet Factory has been extremely unaccommodating and I am very disappointed with their service. We clearly agreed with the salesperson that demolition and removal of my old shelves was included in the scope and price, and this was my condition for moving forward. Once the job was scheduled, they claimed it was not in the contract and tried to charge me an extra $1,200. I refused and ended up removing the shelves myself the evening before installation. I have a walk in closet with 3 walls. When installer was installing in the middle of process he told me the closet system on one wall was built 2 inches too deep, now he has to make about one-third of that side shallower so the run is no longer flush. I accepted that compromise at the time and told him to continue. However, I then noticed the opposite wall designed very shallow and narrow, wasting space and looking inconsistent with the rest of the closet. (before they install the shelves on that side) I asked them to correct what was clearly a design mistake, they a came back to me and asked charge $1100 extra! . Given that they already collected 90% of the payment early in the process, I feel I was left with no leverage while they attempted to bill me extra for their own errors. I am very unhappy with how they handled both the project and their customer. read more

From the start, communication was easy and clear, and the team always showed up right on time during the appointment windows--which made the process stress-free. After consulting with many of the other well-known closet system designing companies, the decision became clear to work with Closet Factory, as soon as I met Mrs. Nazila Kohanarieh. Mrs. Kohanarieh's talent, confidence and sophistication as a designer, as well as her confidence regarding the quality of customer service and workmanship the company provides, was reassuring and well presented. The closet space she had to design for was challenging. I watched other designers struggle with it. Mrs. Kohanarieh designed with ease and confidence. When the installation date arrived, the closets were everything I had hoped for, both in design, quality, and aesthetics. The company's customer service was excellent, providing updates and following up with what is needed. On the day of the installation, one of the drawers was accidentally not sent to install. We did a second project with Closet Factory. This time, our designer was Fadia. We wanted to put in a coffee station with a high countertop and cabinets belwo and a set of glass door upper cabinets. We had shared a concept with Fadia and she put together a plan, just what we wanted, lightning fast. It has since been installed and we are super happy with how it turned out. We recently remodeled our primary bedroom and wanted an attractive and functional walk-in closet. Marjan, our designer, was wonderful to work with. She was very knowledgeable, listened to all of our needs and wants, and created a 3D render at the initial consultation. The long shelves and hanging rod on my walk in closet fell ... with clothes , bags accumulated over 30 yrs . Max, a designer of the Closet Factory in Los Angeles - a Costco vendor immediately came , measured and gave me several computer based designs to fit my budget. A lot of patience, professionalism on the part of Max over a week of many questions, designs and negotiations. Max is very knowledgeable , responds quickly to text and calls even late at night and most of all gave me an assurance that it can be done the week before my husband's major hip surgery . I have had a wonderful experience with Closet Factory! They are a vendor to Costco (which is how I found them) so you know they have been vetted thoroughly. From the start, Cindy from sales visits your home to assess the project. Absolute great experience and she was very knowledgeable and personable. From there she designs your closet with all the specs from the initial site visit. A couple more in-person visits to make sure all the details are right. Then we received the quote. It was by far the most competitive quote we had received and we shopped around plenty. Also Costco gives you 10% rebate back so that helps tremendously. On installation day, the crew arrived (on time) and worked diligently for the next 3-4 days. As with all construction projects, not everything goes smoothly as some details were overlooked (both on my part and theirs). But not to worry because Costco has a 100% satisfaction guarantee before we sign off on the project. So they immediately fixed any and all small details we needed revised. This review is one star because of their follow up after my closet was installed and everything was paid in full. They did not finish a portion of the closet and we filled out the paperwork with the installers with the needed revisions since they did not have the right shelves. They said someone from closet factory would reach out and set up a new time to fix this. First, no one reached out. I called the company over three times and was told that they were looking into it and needed to contact my designer. I called my designer as well - Fadia, who also reached out to Closet factory. Still it has been almost two months with no appointments to come finish their work. Second, I sent an email because phone calls went no where. I also wanted to establish something in writing for a paper trail. So they directed me back to my designer, who again sent back the design to closet factory. It has been over a week and no calls or emails. Their design work is great but our closet is still not finished after almost two months after the initial install. The shelves are the wrong length and material. It was supposed to be a combo of wood shelves on top and mesh shelves on the bottom. The shelves are half the length so it is a mess because we can't store what was meant to be organized in that area. We paid in FULL so we were very frustrated that we are been ignored. read more
