We recently decided to rip out the flooring in our laundry room and replace with amazing tile. I headed to the Tile Shop on a rainy April Saturday morning and was helped by Emerson. I decided to go with a beautiful Laura Ashley ceramic tile. Emerson helped us by guiding us in selecting the right grout and caulking. The tile was delivered to the store within a few weeks and picking up was super easy. Several employees loaded up all the tile boxes for us. We didn't find a single broken tile. I ended up with one box of unopened tile and the return was so easy. It literally took just a few minutes and an employee even helped me get the tile from my car to the store. You have 90 days to return tile which I thought was pretty generous. Would absolutely return for future tile! read more

UPDATE: They were not able to really refund me. I accepted a store credit begrudgingly. In regards to the response from the Business Manager below - fix the problem. Have quality products and admit to your mistakes. This crap product is still being sold, knowing it's bad, to unknowing customers. My first order for a 3" by 6" subway tile was shorted. It was sold as 100 tiles per box but I received 82 tiles per box. This was not realized until installation started 8 months later because there are 900 things accumulated for a renovation. After fighting with Tile Shop, they agreed the website had been wrong and provided new tile at no cost. The replacement tile from another manufacturer was badly cupped. All of it. These aren't 12" long tiles. They are small. We tried installing some and it was basket weaving badly. This is a $50k bathroom and I'm not accepting this crap. I ended up purchasing similar tile from another supplier. Tile Shop insists this was free tile and will not refund me. Then they insist the original tile was purchased last year and too long ago to refund (hello have you seen the state of contractor delays lately??) Basically they are telling me to eat the cost even though this is their error and bad product. After fighting, the store manager has instructed me to bring back the tile (AND boxes) and they will see what they can do. I asked if they will resell this bad product to someone else - YEP! She said they will! So good luck to you, future customers. My designer, C&M Interiors will be told of this and never use their products in designs again. read more

I really love the website where you're able to play with different rooms and see your tile selection in many layouts prior to purchasing. We worked with Sammy and explained our vision and he worked tirelessly checking stock on items and helping us narrow down our choices. We found the perfect tile for our current project and a future project as well. Sammy was so friendly and sent us home with samples to make sure we really liked our choices. The Tile Shop - STAY AWAY!!!! I don't like to post things online, but as this is the worst customer service experience I've had, I feel it necessary to warn others of the practices. I was having a small bathroom renovated (approximately 5x7). I was only tiling the floor and tub surround. I needed to purchase the floor tiling and grout. The store manager MARY Z assisted me with the purchase. I wasn't sure how much to buy and Ms. Z told me I should definitely buy 3 full bags of grout, one for the floor and two for the tub surround. She also told me I would need colored caulking for the tub surround and floor. I said I wasn't sure I needed all of this. She told me she worked there for several years and encouraged me to buy all of it, I'd be surprised how much is actually needed, and anyway it wasn't a problem to bring it back "after the project was over" if it was sealed and unused. She then promptly placed my order and told me she would email my receipt to "make it easier". My project recently completed and I didn't not need all of the supplies Ms. Z told me to buy. I headed to the store to return a full bag of grout (my contractor only actually used 1/2 of a single bag and did not use the tubes of colored caulk opting for clear instead). When I came to the store to return the items unopened and in perfect condition, the associate informed me he couldn't return them because they were beyond the stores 60 day return date. I told him the manager had previously informed me that I could return at the end of my project hassle free. It had now been about roughly 90 days since order / pick up. I asked to speak to the manager and he said the manager wasn't available. I asked to speak to anyone who was in charge that day. He said there wasn't one. I asked him for Ms. Z direct phone number, so I could contact her. When I contacted Ms. Z she claimed it didn't matter what she said as the policy is 60 days and the company won't let her return items. I asked what I'm supposed to do with over $130 of unused supplies and she told me I should donate them. It then asked for her district manger contact and she told me I would have to contact TheTileShop corporate. The practices of Store Manager Mary Z are to upsell what you need, give you false sense of security in your purchase and the company. It is highly deceptive. She knew I didn't need the extra items and neglected to inform me of the company policy. She continued this behavior by emailing me the receipt so I didn't read the fine print on a traditional hard copy. My recommendation is to steer clear of doing business with this company if this is how they treat their customers. It is also telling that this is their long time store manager making the deceptive sales. I can only imagine what she is training her associates to do. Incredibly disappointing experience. read more

Ordered tile based on the sample board. The product that showed up was different (finish and edges). My contractor was scheduled to start the day after it arrived so there was no time to make a change. The Tile Shop rep didn't offer any solution but returning it. They switched manufacturers and kept the old sample board up. When I told them they should take the existing (old) sample board down, the rep said it was out of his hands so they are leaving the misleading sample board up. read more

Terrible experience. I have no plans on ever doing any further business here & would certainly recommend everyone do the same! The entire process from ordering to FINALLY picking up our products (nearly two weeks late) was a complete cluster! Not sure how the communication works in this company, but it seems very clear to me that there is very little if any! In addition nearly everyone we spoke to on the phone throughout this time, sounded very snobby & inconvenienced. Their only saving grace is that tile itself, so far, seems like a good product (and it should be for the price), but I guess time will tell on that! read more
