Once the floor was ready to go in, Rob the flooring manager came out to go over how things would work and to make sure that the product got delivered. On the day of installation I met Brian, who was the installer. After removing the carpet Brian realized that there were some issues with the wood floor underneath. Rob came out again and the two of them came up with a plan. Once Rob left, Brian was on it! He was not only incredibly nice, he was professional, efficient, and fast. He cared so much about making sure the job was not only done right, but was done in a way that would make me happy. Shane and Tim did an excellent job installing our kitchen floor. They showed up on time each day until the job was done which we appreciated. They kept us informed on each step of the process. They cleaned up well at night so we could be functional in the kitchen if needed. We had some touch up items on baseboard and walls after but it was minimal. We purchased carpet for our lower level and vinyl flooring for our new lower level bathroom. We couldn't be happier. The price was very fair - better than anything else of comparable quality. We were able to get upgraded pads due to the price being so good. The vinyl flooring is heavier than that you'd find at a big box store and while a little more expensive, worth the extra price. The installation of the carpet went smoothly. The installers moved the big furniture. I defy anyone to find the seams. Mike the installer has the worst, most aggressive and contentious personality of anyone I have ever met. He resented my wanting a moisture shield under the flooring I had directly installed against the concrete in my basement saying he never had to before. Furniture (a glass tv console) was damaged when he set it on its end and he denied having done it. He berated another contractor I had installing kitchen cabinets. This person should not have any contact with customers, should not disrespect them as he did me in my own home.. read more

Roy came out to measure he let me know he was the owner and if they had any issues at all I should contact him, this made me feel good about the purchase. Then contacting him after the purchase was quite difficult I had to deal with Cody who was also very helpful before the sale. This was the first thing that made me uncomfortable. Then while doing the installation the guys knocked off my carbon dioxide detector, they placed it back in its appropriate place and set the battery in the window. The carbon dioxide detector started beeping the same as a smoke detector would, when I returned home I said to the men oh I have to find that smoke detector. Not one of the three men owned up to having knocked down the carbon monoxide detector which was now peeping like the smoke detector would. This was really an issue for me. Overall the flooring looks great The stair nosing on my steps I'll have nail holes in them that we're not filled. The stair nosing from my stepdown in my dining room to living room looked beat up with nails. I had mentioned this to the installer who basically blew me off I then spoke to Roy and they did come out and correct this issue, however Roy did not come with them as he said he would to make sure it was done correctly. read more

We used All Surface Flooring to install carpeting in two bedrooms on 2/7/2020. We were very satisfied with our experience throughout the process. We had new wood flooring or carpeting installed in every room of our 26 year-old home. We shopped a lot. All Surface Flooring did a superb job for the best pricing we received. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the very professional no-pressure staff and receiving quality work. We feel like we've made new friends. Roy, the owner, is great to deal with, a real straight shooter. We had significant problems with low-quality subdivision builder construction variation (peaks and valleys) of our old kitchen vinyl floor. The humps and low spots created issues with installing new upgraded porcelain tile or wood flooring. We had several stores and several professional installers look at it. Some of the bigger name stores refused to even price the job until we re-leveled our joists, which was difficult to do with a completely finished basement. Others sent out a sales person who didn't really know what they were looking at. Roy was the only person who said, "We'll take care of it." And they did! Our new wood flooring is beautiful and perfectly flat. After completing our home, my sons then hired All Surface Flooring to install new wood-look waterproof luxury vinyl flooring in their newly purchased house. Please don't use this company! I had them do my entire house. In my Kitchen they scratched up Kitchen Cabinets, Stove, replaced Kitchen Island in the wrong location, then dropped furniture that is not replaceable. My new install floors now squeak. They did not before. I was told that the wood I purchased was stronger for wear and tear then my last. It has been several months that we had the new floors installed and there are MORE scratches on my new floor then my old 13 year old floor. Roy is nice just not honest. Unprofessional to say the least! I thought they were very nice honest home town people. Needed to replace the floor in my mother's basement bath because caregivers flushed wipes and caused a sewage backup. While at the house, decided to have Roy look at the entry. He thought there might be asbestos. He took a piece with him. I know that because I remember where he said he could get it. (By the register) Later, while I was away, he brought tile samples for my mom and sister to see. I incorrectly made the assumption he had done an asbestos test. We chose tile based on the asbestos assumption. Perfect for the basement and acceptable for the entry. Finally got the tile ordered for basement and entry. It's been months because I live in CT and am building a house and trying to manage my mother's care in St. Louis and because I needed to confirm payment method for the basement from the care company. When my cousin stopped by the other day and I mentioned we were having tile installed, he asked what we were doing. I told him about the asbestos. He asked to see the report. I called Roy and learned it wasn't done. I was quite surprised and he said he never planned to do it, certain that we had asbestos, but if we were unhappy he would return my money. I said I would let him know. We still needed the basement done, btw, not just the entry. No asbestos down there and tile picked and ordered. Today I get a call from Cody (not Roy, the president) saying Roy is returning my money. He's certain that we will not be happy whatever he does. Roy, that never occurred to me. On the contrary, I'd decided that we should go ahead for multiple reasons, including my mother's safety. She's beginning to walk again and the entry floor is coming up and is dangerous. Roy says he won't do the job or even sell the tile (that is already in) to us and Cody doesn't think I have a right to be upset and angry. That makes us start all over again and jeopardizes my mother's safety. It's not my favorite tile, but was our best choice for the situation. If it turned out to be truly awful, I would have torn it out later and started again and probably purchased from them. But I don't think it would have been awful or we wouldn't have gone with it in the first place. In the end, we will probably be happier going with someone who is good for their word. If no asbestos test was done, I can live with that, but to make us start all over again because of a mistake or misunderstanding is very poor business and I'm passing it on. BTW, Cody, the reason I didn't order after I learned that it couldn't be delivered for a while is that I tried to find someone who had it in stock so my mom could begin to move around the house safely. And, I totally appreciate your extra help after closing. The time it took to order had to do with the basement and getting the care company to decide if they would pay for it directly to you or through us. It has been a long arduous process of getting the basement back. Roy, you just extended it. Roy, I was not holding you accountable to the asbestos thing. We're close to the same age and it was months ago. We all forget things and we all make mistakes. But to say you aren't doing the job because I thought you did and I questioned it, is unprofessional.
