I recently had a closet installed by Closet Solutions in my Culver City home and I am thrilled! I had met with 3 different companies before choosing Closet Solutions and I know I made the right choice. To provide a "comparison story", one of the companies I interviewed was a well-known closet company in California. They were unable to customize to my usual shaped space as they only use standard sizing. The design they came up with would have lost me significant closet space. Closet Solutions not only was able to work with my unique space, but also charged me HALF of what I was quoted with the well-known company with the bad design. Alzbeta was my designer with Closet Solutions and she was lovely to work with and had smart, logical advice. We also had had some construction delays forcing Closet Solutions off their planned installation date. Closet Solutions had to scramble, but they managed to squeeze us in anyway. Closet Solutions is phenomenal and we had a superb experience from beginning (with the quoting process) to the end (checking in after the project was completed). Our point of contact was Alzbeta F. She is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and both big-picture and detailed-minded. She arrived at our home to discuss our project, provide us with design options, and take measurements; and she treated us like we were her only client. She didn't rush through the process, took her time to answer all of our questions and asked very good ones of her own (touching on things we didn't even think about beforehand but were so important to consider to make sure the project would be done flawlessly). In addition, she is just a really positive person with great energy and very enjoyable to be around because she is warm, engaging, and kind. She then sent several versions of design options for our custom closet and took special care of every single detail since our closet space had some weird asymmetrical features. We asked for the project to be started and finished in a very small window because of when escrow was closing and when we wanted to move in; and she was able to accommodate us with no problem. The installer that put our closet together physically was extremely professional, hard working, and represented the company well, just like Alzbeta. We were amazed at the final product, the closet represented everything we hoped it would be. It is a very high-end closet for a reasonable price, and we have had multiple real estate agents and developers see our closet and tell us that they felt it was a model for what they should see in all custom homes. We moved into a new house that already had a walk in closet build out, but it wasn't configured quite right to accommodate my clothes and shoes. After searching and reading reviews, I came across Closet Solutions, and called to speak with Scott, the owner, to determine if they could work with the existing framework that was already built in. Once we agreed to move forward I was assigned a designer (Alzbeta) and we worked virtually via phone and photos (due to COVID-19 restrictions) to come up with a closet reconfiguration that would work for my wardrobe. The 3D mockups were great and exactly what I needed. After seeing the plans for my closet, my husband decided he wanted a build out for his reach-in closet, so we got to work on those designs. The process was very simple, efficient and relatively quick (given quarantine restrictions). We were very happy with the installation and the finished product. We used Closet Solutions about 5 years ago to put cabinets in our garage. They did a wonderful job and exactly as we wanted. Now I was wanting to get an upright freezer instead of the chest type we have and all of them were too tall to go under the cabinets over the current chest freezer. I called and Scott sent a man out to check and he said they could move these two cabinets but would have to come back with a helper - too heavy for one man. Bomb. We had Bob in for an estimate on a Saturday and he said he'd have a quote back to us in a couple of days. Bob called on Thursday saying he lost track of our order and asked if we still wanted a quote. Why wouldn't we after spending an hour with him going through the job specs?? I called back to confirm we still in fact wanted a quote which he said he'd have for us on Friday. Friday....Saturday...Sunday...still nothing. Called to see if Bob serves Orange County, unfortunately not. Instead, Bob was SUPER HELPFUL in giving tips on what to ask and expect when installing built in closets. I asked him a few more questions regarding suspend versus ground to wall built in and he was candid on what was safest. Needless to say, safety was his primary concern and told me to stay away from suspend built in. What I was most flabbergasted about was that Bob was willing to spend 15 minutes chatting with me knowing that I was not going to be a customer. Bob went way above and beyond and told me to email him with any questions I may have. I can't imagine the extent of care he takes with his customers, only wish I was. I chose this place simply based on the reviews. Didn't want to be the first person to give 1 star. Laura came out, she measured my closets and did a quick 3D model of my closet. All was good. I was happy. This was going to be a gift from my mom, so I was going to do a little extra and spend some of my money to get the best organized closet with new doors. My doors are floor to almost ceiling. She gave me a quote on the inside organization, but had to get back to me on the quote for the doors. She said she'd call me back the same day. We contacted Closet Solutions about the closets in our master bathroom - one walk-in and one reach in. There wasn't really a lot of room for anything breathtaking, but the final product was light-years beyond the simple rod and shelf system that was in place. Laura met with us several times at our home to help us design and to go over the plans for our new closets. The final product matched her CAD drawings exactly and did a great job flowing with the color and design of our current bathroom cabinets. The sale itself was great. The only pressure from the whole process was from my wife wanting to get the closets in ASAP. The price was much less expensive than other companies and the service from initial phone call to final install was top-notch. I highly recommend this company. From the sales pitch (Bob - the owner), to the design/pricing (Edgar) and execution (Lenin), this team of experts knocked the ball out of the park. Having endured months of renovation projects with countless unreliable contractors, plumbers, etc., I realized that the true test of a service-oriented company is how the customer gets treated when everything DOES NOT go according to plan. There was a small hiccup with our closet (the mirror sent over from the supplier was scratched), but Closet Solutions resolved the issue immediately no questions asked. And days before installation, they had the nerve to tell me that they underquoted me and that I needed to give them more money or they would cancel the contract. I could not be happier with my closets from Closet Solutions. Bob, the owner, made the entire experience enjoyable. We have done 3 walk in closets with Bob and are planning a pantry, office and a reach in closet. Bob takes the time to measure your clothes, shoes, purses, anything you keep in your closet, in order to figure out the best way to organize your things. He also suggests the best sizes to use so you are not throwing away extra material. Bob really takes his time with you. He really wants you to be happy with your closets and he will do anything to make that happen. He truly cares more about getting it right than making money. If something is not right, he will fix it. All of the installers are fantastic as well. They are quick and neat. Everything fits exactly as it should. They are detail oriented and make sure everything is perfect. In a previous home I have had experience with the big closet company chains and the experience was nothing like this. One time, our garage cabinets, from one of the larger closet companies, came crashing down in the middle of the night! After that we tried a different large company to do a reach in closet. They actually installed the drawers so in order to open them, you had to open the closet doors 180 degrees. There was no way to fix it without removing and redoing the entire closet, which they would not do. Closet solutions is a smaller company and their focus is on customer service.
