I love this store! I moved to La Quinta almost a year ago, and I can not believe it took me 6 months of living here before I found this gem. I have gotten some of my favorite designer bags and shoes here. I also sold my LV bag and the Owen we gave me a very fair price. It was sold very fast too ;) I love Destiny! She is great to talk to, and she remembers the customers who shop there. She is always there and I love talking to her! I found the cutest Fendi Clutch here too. I purchased a Louis Vuitton wallet from them listed in good condition, I received a wallet from them in horrible condition. It was peeling, and the inside card slots were torn. Do not purchase online, they will do anything to make a sale and rip customers off. I have purchased a lot of items from CM but this location was deceitful. Came here to sell clothes as they advertise cash on the spot. They told me I had to come the next day after they evaluated my items. When I came the next day, the girl asked me how I heard of the place. I mentioned that I just saw it and thought I'd try selling. She laughed, and said that "I'm not sure if you know, but our customers are of the older generation", and that the clothes they sell are for "older people" and that my clothes were too young. Keep in mind half the stuff I had was from my elderly aunt mixed with my clothing. I found it rude that she giggled at me the whole conversation as well. I wish they would have told me that they only look for "older people" clothes, whatever that means lmao. read more

I took two boxes of shoes in for consignment. They would only take one box at a time. I was texted 15 minutes later to say they could not accept any of the shoes because they were too worn. There were literally shoes in the box with tags on them. Shoes worth $300 and $400. They didn't even look at any of them. They looked at the 2nd box and said they couldn't take winter items, granted it's May in the desert, but there was a clear view of snow on the mountain out their front window. Owner/woman in the front was not friendly in the slightest. I get having an off day, but if that's the case, don't be the one dealing with customers when you have plenty of obviously capable staff behind you. Super snotty, no smiles, curt to the point of rudeness. I tried to engage with jokes, and smiles, but she wasn't having any of that. Didn't buy anything and I won't be back, ever. As many others have mentioned it smells very musty and the clothes are not in style at all. I truly felt like I was at a thrift store because the store seemed full of junk no one wanted. I have been to many clothes mentors before and I have had good experiences at all of them. I'm usually able to find tons of things to try on and end up buying a lot. Sadly I couldn't find anything I liked enough to even try on, but the other people I was with did so to be fair there are some options. There is not much selection at all and the items they do purchase are very outdated and have horrible prints. It was a bummer because we drove over an hour to come but I won't be back. I have found better quality and more professional clothes at Plato's closet, so it's definitely not worth the drive. read more

The owner is not truthful. A jacket I liked was on display at the counter and when I asked about it she said it was on hold untill the end of the day. So I came back at the end of the day just before closing. and was happy that it was still there. But she said well, no, it was still on hold. Now I visited the store before and never found anything. It was really kind of like a thrift store with some nice items overpriced and the rest just really pedestrian low quality clothes But this day I really liked a jacket that was on Display at the front counter. I was told that the jacket was on hold until the end of the day. I thought ok maybe the customer won't show. It often happens. I came back I came back at closing and was happy to see the jacket was still there thinking I would be able to buy it I was wrong. ... disappointed thinking as I had waited till the end of the day and the customer didn't show up , that I could purchase it. When I asked when is the next deadline The owner became annoyed and confused. I realize she didn't know what to say that there was obviously some special relationship with this other person I only wish that she had been more honest in the first place and not said it would be available at the end of the day bif the customer didn't show up. I called ahead of time and I was told that I could only bring a laundry basket amount of clothes. At no time did they specify the clothes must be in a laundry basket. It does not indicate it on their web page either. When I walked in the store was empty and there were 2 older women, they looked at me and said they only accept clothes in laundry baskets. I said I called and that was not specified, they both denied talking with me. They were a bit snooty and snarki, even tho the store looked interesting and I would have liked to browse, life is too short to put up with sales staff with that attitude. read more

I tried walking in just to look at a bag real quick and the door was open it wasn't 6pm yet and your employee with the short brown hair and glasses rushed to the front trying to close the door on my face. I told her that there's still five minutes left and she didn't even know the time, and said " oh really? " so I told her nicely that she's a little rude for closing the door on my face and I walked away. I understand that people want to go home after working a long day . I get it! I frequent this store and wow-they never disappoint. One staff member in particular, her name is Annie and she is absolutely amazing at putting an outfit together for you. To get specific, I had asked her if she would be able to find an outfit for my mom for my engagement party. Well without even seeing a picture of my mom she put together 3 or 4 beautiful outfits and my mom ended up buying 2 of them! My mom left the store with a smile on her face. I was recently in the Palm Desert store and had the pleasure to see Annie multi-task on many levels from greeting customers, checking people in, ringing up sales and working the floor. She was friendly, professional and engaging. I'd go back just to see her! Complete waste of time! Drove for 2 hours in traffic to this place that supposedly gives cash on the spot for designer goods. False advertising on their website. I even called the site in the morning to confirm the process of selling. I told the clerk over the phone I had 4-5 garbage bags of clothes. She did not seem concerned just said I had to be there before 6pm. When I arrived the older female sales clerk was rude. And everything after that went down hill. They wanted to hold onto my items to "authenticate"...whatever that means. I think they just wanted to keep my things and not pay me. The "owner" wanted to talk to me on the phone. Very weird and shady establishment. I will never come back after my first visit here. I normally resell my designer stuff In West Hollywood on melrose at cross roads or buffalo exchange or Costa Mesa and I have never had this issue Ever! I happened to be visiting Loma Linda medical school today so I thought I'd give this place a try because it was kinda in the vicinity. Mistake! i've taken items to this store for a few years but the last few times, recently, I've been treated extremely poorly and been paid nearly nothing for my designer pieces. I consider it a gift to help them stay in business!! The people at the counter were extremely snotty and need to remember that without the ones of us willing to take pennies (basically donate our items) for them to sell, that they would not have a job or a business! I took a friend in for the first time and there is a sign that say" if you bring in a friend you get 10% off". So when we mentioned it to the sales lady her response was that she didn't know how to take the 10%off so I asked if the manager was there to help and she said that she was in a meeting there in the store and completely refused to call the manager. No stars here! Snappy employees this business isn't going to last long please do not support their profits it's your loss! Don't waste your time or theirs they pay 1/3 of what they are going to sell the item on their floor. They take your pile of items make you come back to DISCUSS the arrangement. Turned down my entire offer including guess shoes they want what is selling right now in retail stores nothing older. So I called on the phone to inquire how the process was going they will not talk about it over the phone. Also they keep one half of their front door locked all day long I noticed at 945 am before they open a lot of homeless hang out in this shopping area.
