I am shocked this salon does not have more posts. Ive lived in the area for 10+ years and to my knowledge this place has been around for at least that long. My hairstylist made me wait 20 minutes before we got started, no biggie it was a busy Saturday afternoon. He foiled on a few strands around my face and had me sit in a chair outside of his station. He left me for over an hour! When he finally rinsed the color off I had to leave. I left with a wet head because I had to pick my daughter up. Truly disapointing because I had a wedding to attend that evening. The worst part is is that the stylist was recommended to me. Guess he was over booked that day. It is a shame I wont be back to find out. read more

I give Cloud 9 2 stars because I've had good and bad experiences here. First time here I was getting my hair colored. I wanted dyed back to black (my natural hair color) and my Stylist, Heather, was the the one to do this for me. She is very friendly and understands exactly what I wanted. The color was AWESOME. Very pretty. But a month later, it's faded back to the blonde I had before. But I would def, go back to her to get another application. My bad experience here was PROM. Heather had recommended DIXIE to me. I was told she does awesome updos. WRONG. I showed her a picture of exactly what I wanted and at the end it was nothing like what I wanted. But it was pretty enough for me not to complain about it. Well 3 hours before prom the curls started to fall FLAT. ( and she did tell me that the curls would last for DAYS) I called and told her and she asked for a picture, so I sent her a picture. She told me to just scrunch it up a bit and the curls will come back. WRONG. But I tried what she said and of course no curls came back. I called back and said the curls did not come back. I had asked if I could have my money back, she said no because she put her time into it. I asked why did you tell me the curls would last for days if you knew they'd fall and she tells me "I didn't tell you that" and argued that I shouldn't of had an early a$$ appointment. I asked if I could have half the money back since she did out her time into it and she said no. I asked for salon credit and she said no. I told her that she did a $hitty job and I was unhappy with and she said it was not her problem and hung up on me. I called back and she ignored it. I called back and told her I'd be sure no one ever recommend her ever again. She hung up on me. But she was so quick to answer when I was setting up an appointment. I do recommend Heather, but will never recommend Dixie. read more

Favorite salon ever. Ive been to two of the stylists and they both are amazing. I have gotten numerous great highlights and color. He politely told me that my current color was a little dark for me and he was right! He lightened the hair around my face and it made a world of difference. The cut was great. We have never had much luck with Cloud 9. It's hit and miss at best. My daughter did get an amazing color application years ago for prom - but I haven't been so lucky. I know there are plenty of happy Cloud 9 campers though. If you can stand the crowd, you'll probably like it. read more

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT go to PEARL! I went to Pearl on 8/13, she really messed my hair up on a full foil. She put the full foil on with ash blonde on my roots between each foil. My hair was falling out in clumps and my roots were orange. She tried toning it twice which turned it gray on top and it was so fried! She asked Casie for her opinion and apparently everything pearl did was not right. Casie had her blow dry it so she could see the color better. When i saw the back most strands had 3 shades of color going from gray to blonde to brassy and not to mention the brassy/orange roots. It was so brassy underneath that there wasn't much to be done at this point. Casie thankfully took me to her chair and evened me out as best she could but there wasn't much she could do to fix the tone on top. I was there 6 hours and it's definitely not what I came in there for. Casie felt so bad and so did some of the other lady's (they even told me this wasn't the first time this has happened, that Pearl does this a lot!). As for pearl, she never once apologized to me or Casie for having to fix it and she just left while I was there for 2 more hours. Pearl does not need to be doing hair, she is terrible! On top of everything I had to cut 2 inches off what used to be my beautiful blonde hair because it was so damaged. I was on the verge of tears losing my hair that I've been growing out for 5 years now. Pearl is an idiot and needs to go back to school before she touches anyone else's hair again! My husband even said she should find a new job! Unless you want to be super stressed and upset when your hair gets fu**ed up then I suggest not going to Pearl. The only good thing about it is I found a new stylist with Casie! She is so sweet and stayed with me even after hours to make sure I wasn't leaving with my hair the way it was. Which by the way, pearl was going to let me walk out of there like that trying to convince me that it looked good. What an effing joke! If you book an appointment with her I hope it's just for a wash because she is incompetent with any knowledge of color! read more

I went to cloud 9 thinking I would treat myself to a "good" haircut because I usually just go for the cheap super cut type places. Wrong decision. Apparently when I said 2-3 inches off meant 5 inches to my stylist. So I paid 40 $ to have someone not listen to what I wanted and leave uneven pieces randomly around the length of my hair. My boyfriend had to even it up when I got home. I would not recommend this place and will not go back! read more

Terrible experience trying to book a blowout, booked two weeks ago called and confirmed got a text the day before my appointment with the wrong time. Called the receptionist and she was useless. Nathan called me back and found me a stylist! Unfortunately Heather was supposed to blowout my hair at 8am, we were taking family photos at 9:00. My daughter went here and paid $120. for what I would call the worst haircut I have seen in years. Sweet girl cut and colored it, hair turned out red on top faint green in the middle (note it was suppose to be dirty blonde) EEEKKKK.. 2" longer on one side than the other. Spoke to salon they take no responsibility for the stylist they just rent them the space. How did this place ever get any kind of awards. Now she has to go pay someone else to get it fixed. I love this place. Been going here for years and have a wonderful regular stylist. I am always happy with my hair and feel beautiful as I leave. The environment is great and then even just put in a cute little shop to look at while you're waiting. I've also gotten my nails and eyebrows done and had a massage. The massage and hair experiences have been flawless! Nails room leaves a little to be desired, not quite the nail salon feel I'm looking for so I go elsewhere for that. Eyebrows have always turned out well, but it's hard to schedule that at the same time as hair so most of the time I just get that done at a nail salon elsewhere while I'm out running errands. They offer so much here at Cloud9 and it really can be a one-stop-shop. Lovely place. Lovely people. Affordable prices. Two thumbs up from me!! Stephanie Honea is seriously the only person I trust with my hair. A lot of people at other salons messed up my hair and when Stephanie came into my life it was honestly the best thing that's happened for my hair. She's saved my hair from bleaching catastrophes and coloring mess ups. She's worked wonders on my hair for a couple years now and I won't go to anyone else but her. I shopped around quite a bit when first moving to the area about 2 yrs ago and there are some outrageous prices for highlights and a cut but Stacey is awesome! I have been going to one hair stylist Bev for over 20 years she had always done the most beautiful coloring and at first great cuts. In the last 6 years she is always in a big hurry and putting 2 or 3 people in between my hair coloring and cut. This last visit has put me in utter shock. I came in expecting to leave with beautiful color. I have very little gray at the root of my hair, I ask for 2 blondes and a brown, with roots brown a typical request. Bev has the absolute worst lighting in her area something that could be changed with real light bulbs that give light. Point is I never know what I look like until I go outside. She is constantly texting and talking with others while she should be attending to the customer at hand. Moving on When she finished I was a nasty blonde no brown and the gray stood straight up like a plant starting to grow, burnt hair. So she takes me back in and goes as fast as she can and says she was putting in brown. She said she used 5nn 5gb and 20 volume. I was pitch black. My friend was in shock and kept asking what is wrong with your hair? What color is that you look awful that is not brown that is very black. I went to a hair specialist afterwards, and he just could not figure out why Bev did this it wasn't brown it was clearly black. I have had to go 3 different sessions to get this corrected and the dollars$$$$$$$ for Bev's irresponsible work and improper correcting has cost me over 300 dollars . I have requested reimbursement and left messages with the owner. It has been a phone tag with owner who is never available when I have called. This salon is gorgeous but other than that, no customer service at all. They don't care how your hair feels and looks at the end of the day. As long as you paid, they did alright in their books. Before this incident, I had only ever got my hair cut by Maribel, never colored. I decided I wanted to get bayalage done on my natural color, which I've done before at my house. But I was on spring break during law school and I wanted to treat myself a little. My hair is naturally curly and thick. I had reached out to Maribel and shown her the pictures of the icy, cool blonde I wanted with my natural hair and she told me she could fit me in on Sunday since she was going to be at the salon. I said alright I'll be there. I show her the icy, blonde hair picture again and she said alright let's do this. She cuts my hair and puts the blonde in it. She doesn't leave the blonde in my hair for very long. And I told her with my hair we need to leave it in longer, but she didn't listen. She washes my hair and it looks like I have light brown highlights in my hair, not even blonde. She clearly sees I'm not happy but she's in the salon on a day she normally isn't and is rushing me out the door. So I leave and I'm just not all that happy with the amount I paid for a haircut and some brown highlights. I go to another salon the next day (Monday) and they told me I was better off contacting the stylist who did the original dye job because they said it was (their words not mine) shit job and they weren't going to be able to fix it to the color I wanted. I showed this stylist the same picture I showed Maribel and they asked if she talked about doing sessions? I said no she didn't mention it. They told me to reach out and see if she'll fix it. So I text Maribel if we can go lighter? She texts back and says yes come in tomorrow around 5:30 pm (which is Tuesday). I said alright thanks. I get there and I show her AGAIN the same icy blonde picture. She goes back over the same spots and leaves the blonde on a little bit longer. She goes to wash my hair and I feel her pause for a second, and continue washing my hair. We go back to the chair and she is starting to style it. At this point, my hair is FRIED. I'm talking Texas State Fair FRIED Turkey leg FRIED. She's trying to straighten it, it won't. She's trying to curl it, it won't. It's literally a poof ball now. She's not saying anything about it. Nothing. Not telling me "hey you might wanna do a sleeping hair mask for a few nights", nothing. And not only is it not icy blonde, but it's GREEN. My hair was literally green where the blonde was. She could tell I wasn't happy but again she's there after hours so she's rushing me out the door. I had to get the majority of my hair cut off and I was super pissed. I contacted her and her manager and the only thing she gave me back was the tip. I understand she used dye on my hair two times but I also had to go to another salon, she my hair treated and cut off, making more money come out of my pocket. And now she's posting on all social media it takes sessions and time. Ya think? After you ruined someone's hair and they're left cleaning it up. The manager said he would help and even do like free trims and stuff to help get my hair in better shape, but nothing. I really like the staff and have had my hair cut here by Karen (very conservative and cuts less than you ask for, so if you're conservative and skeptical she is good). Shannon is good, but I was not comfortable with how FAST she works because she does not spend anytime and just flies through the process. Marabelle is my favorite, but I cannot get consistency from her and am frustrated that I get what I really want about every third haircut. But I wholeheartedly agree that JACKIE IS HORRIBLE. My daughter had such a horrific cut from her that it took over a year to get it fixed. I watched her cutting and was horrified by the randomness and how crooked it was. I do really like this salon, but I wish I could find someone that would be consistent and give me a haircut that I absolutely Love. I have given Marabelle a lot of tries and I really like her, but her lack of consistency is driving me crazy. read more
