I specifically told the stylist I did not want wispy ends or an A-line cut. She did both without asking. When I reached out with my concerns she sent a booking reminder and did not apologize or offer to fix it. The color also faded unevenly and my hair is now very dry and damaged. She went straight to applying without any consultation or explanation of the process or what developer strength she was using on my dark hair. My hair texture has been compromised since then. It has been 20 days since this appointment and I've been caring for my hair with sulfate free quality shampoo/conditioner for color treated hair. Additionally have had to implement hair masks into my weekly regimen due to the damage these highlights caused. I have always had thick, healthy hair...even when color treated. The kind that people compliment because it's so shiny. I never use product but just the occasional olive or jojoba oil for a little added moisture. My hair has never been damaged like this. As soon as water hits it, it shrivels up into a matted knot. I have no choice but to apply a leave in conditioner just to get it untangled. It has been breaking off and falling out. And its orange brassy now, not caramel. In fact, brassy was the exact color I said NOT to do. I wish she would have told me she was using bleach. Also I don't think leaving bleach on someone's hair for 4 hours (no exaggeration) is a safe technique. My hair is so unhealthy and damaged. I'm thinking about chopping it just to get a fresh start. So irritated with this whole experience. Wish I could get a refund ... they really should refund my money for damaging my hair so horribly. It has been falling off by heaps. Beware! I went in to have my highlights refreshed by Talia. She messed up and applied brown hair color rather than toner. When I mentioned to her my hair was dark (it is now medium brown with no highlights) she acted like my hair was still blind rather than medium brown. I just left after getting my hair done- I'm in love! Last week I went in for a color/cut consultation and they set me up with Ashley. I told her I was lost with my hair and felt like the color was "blah" but I didn't know what to do with it. Ashley came up with some great suggestions to add more dimension to my hair. I'm all over the place with my requests and typically hairdressers just did my hair, but I was never completely satisfied. Then came Alysha, who educated me on my hair. I am not at all happy with the experience that my daughter received. She went in asking for bright kind of lavender purple hair (pic 1 below) was told that would cost her $600.00 - she is a brunette. So the "colorist" said she could do a darker purple - that is pic 2 below - and that was $245.00 - no cut - just color - and pic 3 below is what was received. After 2+ months of quarantine hair, I was happy to get an appointment within 2 days of calling..and on aSaturday! The salon was careful about masks and social distancing which I greatly appreciated. I wish I was able to give this 0 stars. I have previously been to this salon to bring light dimensions to my brunette hair. Yesterday I asked my stylist Karissa for a dark half inch feathered root with a rich bold red sangria color (that was the name of the color). I also instructed I wanted my natural root feathered for regrowth purposes and to soften the red around my face. I also said specifically I want no streaks. I was told that the hair would pull more red than the swatch so to make it match the swatch color she would have to add a little brunette. I showed her countless pictures of what I wanted, so I trusted her. My hair came out darker brunette than it had. She insisted on drying a section and I told her again it was brown. She retoned me the parts she had lightened became slightly auburn thick streaks in my hair. She asked my opinion when it was done and I let her know that it did not have the feathered root I asked for, it was very streaky and no where near being the right color with brown and some auburn-ish streaks. Upon complaining, she told me she would take the toner off bringing my total from $260 to $228. I cried the entire night last night and am dreading going into work today. The only positive is that I can wear my hair up to mask part of the horrible dye job I received. Unfortunately on Sunday I will have to wear my hair down, so I most likely will be calling out that day out of shame. I was especially appalled that Karissa did not offer to schedule an appointment to fix my hair and that the owner, Amber, who was at the front during my checkout stood there completely silent and unconcerned while I received the discount and paid my bill. read more
