Nice spot with awesome city views! We stopped by for a drink. Cozy indoor seating but they also have outdoor seating when weather is warmer. Service was great. We went straight up to the rooftop but when we arrived it sounded like we needed to check in with someone downstairs... not sure what the process is but it wasn't a big deal.

We were in the area and deciding between a speakeasy and a roof top bar. We were so happy with our choice! The lobby on the ground floor is lovely. The bar was great - the views, the drinks and the vibe! There is indoor and outdoor space. It's a nice cozy size. It was pretty empty when we arrived and was filling up nicely on the way out. It is not the tallest building in the area but the views were beautiful and the staff and music were great!

My first time on a 21 story roof top in NY. I loved it. It was quiet, the bartenders were super nice and I loved the view. Other people are saying it's not the best, but it was great for my first roof top. We also had a beer which was delicious!

Happened to be in the area on Saturday night so we popped in. The front desk explained they only allowed hotel guests after 10:30pm so we thanked her and were about to leave, then she said "you know what, they can take a couple more - it's fine, have fun!" The woman who greeted us upstairs was so welcoming and friendly. We had a couple drinks and enjoyed the amazing view. It wasn't even crowded for a Saturday night, which was wonderful. Will definitely be back!

Very chill ambiance in a small tucked away rooftop bar close to Times Square. We kind of just stumbled onto this place looking for a rooftop bar, saw it within walking distance on maps. Cocktails were 24$ a pop and each drink was very well crafted. We went on a chilly March evening and their rooftop balcony was still open. Not the most stellar views but super clean and they do provide heat lamps outside. tldr; nice little spot, very chill ambiance, pricey but delicious, well-crafted drinks

It was okay, decent drinks and a pretty cool view. Not the best view in the city, but I still like it! It's a lowkey spot, very small so it was definitely first come first serve. I didn't make a reservation. The drinks were good, we got the Jacks Marg and the Dark & Stormy. Both were strong but good.

Gorgeous view, beautiful décor. Fun spot for drinks after a show. There was a thunderstorm when we were there and the light show was awesome. Highly recommend.

Great view, although not right on top of Times Square. Kind of Times Square adjacent. But still good sights at night. Good drinks and the bartenders want to make you happy.

Great view. Good drinks. Not the tallest building around but well worth a look. we were there when few were around and too hot to enjoy outside but plenty of glass windows to enjoy the views.

I was looking for a rooftop bar when I was in New York for a weekend. This place didn't require a reservation and we took the elevator up! We tried 5 drinks and each one was SO GOOD. I loved how quiet and intimate the place was. Although the building isn't that high but the view from here was still amazing.

I won't lie - I am sure this is a tourist hot spot. And I am here for it. While in town for the weekend, friends and I had just finished doing a tour of Chinatown via Airbnb (def recommend) and we wanted to hit up a rooftop bar. We went to CloudM right around 4 (which is also when it was opening) on a Saturday. It was cold and windy outside but still, this rooftop provided the best backdrop to the city in that part of town. They have an extensive cocktail list, beer and wine. They also have a great food stall within of the famed Nom Wah (which we had just learned about on our Chinatown tour!) Go here for the photos, stay for the clean and fun public restrooms and stellar playlist. And be prepared to take all the photos. Everyone else is!

Beautiful environment, knowledgeable bartender and delicious drinks! It was busy, and too cold for the rooftop, but so cozy indoors.

Ask the Community - CloudM Rooftop Bar

I will be in town from California and looking for a spot to meet up with several friends before going to see a show? Do I need a reservation for the rooftop bar?

Are under 21's allowed? Obviously not for alcoholic drinks.

Hi Imno, Unfortunately, we do not allow guests under the age of 21 in cloudM.

Confused. Do you have to be a guest of hotel or not to go to the rooftop bar?

For our midtown hotel, we have limited space. Our in-house guests get priority access. If you'd like to book a private event with us, please email: nytevents@citizenm.com. Additionally, if you stop in and ask to go to the rooftop bar and there's…

Not cheap at some $25 or something, but middle of Manhattan with some creative ingredients means I guess it is what it is. Servers seemed a bit annoyed to have to deal with us shortly before close as I think they were hoping to usher people out and close down maybe a little early. One the one hand I get it, on the other hand you've got two paying customers on a slow night.

Patent Pending is has such cool speakeasy vibes, think dimmed lighting and candles at each table in a very intimate space. We ordered both the chips and bar nuts to go along with our drinks. And instead of wine, I opted for a cocktail! They have a pretty extensive cocktail menu with all these crazy concoctions. I went for the Strange Magic which was citrusy and refreshing. I'll definitely be back to visit again and hopefully next time will get the cheese board :)

It was dark when we entered the coffee shop but an ajar door gave way to the bar. The decor is a homage to the works of Nikola Tesla, which can be seen in the subtle electric theme throughout the space and the naming of the cocktails. The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. Since we had cocktails at dinner, we only stayed for one round. Service was good, and overall I enjoyed my time at Patent Pending. I would definitely return to explore more of their menu.

Stepping into this place feels like you're in some secret, super special cocktail club. Decor is super high end, vibes are upscale AF. The mint Moroccan tea gave the drink a cool, refreshing taste on every sip. I also tried the Silver Screen, the closest drink I could find to an old fashioned. It was interesting, there was definitely a hint of a buttery taste. Overall a really balanced bourbon drink. I walked in and found room at the standing tables. I opted for a pastel sour while my companion asked for a drink called The Last Word - it was no longer on the menu but they obligingly made it for us anyway. The menu consists of mostly small plates and is seafood forward, but we shared a petite dish of steak frites, tender and cooked perfectly medium rare.
