This place is PLUSH. I was pleasantly surprised by the literal plushness of the pillows they decorated the seating areas with. The beautiful decor combined with modern design will have your eyes constantly fixing on some element or another the entire time of your stay. The food is surprisingly good! I only say that because Rooftops usually just give you something basic to say they have "food." It usually not plentiful or satiating. The portions aren't necessarily big here either, but you'll find that each bit is really flavorful! In my opinion, the best "bang for your buck" is to do the "RT60 Tower" which allowed you to sample three apps. I tried the Prime Rib Satay, Wingettes and Beef Bourguignon. For drinks I think I tried the "Electric Lady" (Butterfly Pea infused Gin, Yellow Chartreuse, Lillet Blanc, Luxardo Maraschino, Orange Bitters) and just stuck with that. Here again, not a voluminous drink but it's very tasty! Service staff was uber professional. I cannot remember the waitress' name and that's an absolute tragedy because she was super efficient. The hostess was very kind too. All in all I highly recommend RT60. I think it's a great date spot. You should probably keep it in your back pocket for that. read more

The whole staff here is amazing. Stephane was so nice. Ricardo welcomed me with a pretty good lemon drop. Rollin the head bartender did a great job knowing what I wanted as soon as I came in. The staff is efficient and works cohesively together to make sure the bar is taken care of, clean and that all the guest are happy. It's my first time at this cute, definitely Instagram worthy lounge. Apparently 50 cent was here last night and I missed it?! & Busta for the Sports Illustrated Party. The security guard, Donte, was very friendly. Edna was welcoming at the bar and let me know next time I came back I should come 5pm to 2 pm Wednesday through Saturday. I did not have high expectations, but the RT60 Rooftop Bar is very cool. Manhattan is loaded with rooftop bars, but this one had some great views and a great bar. It feels upscale. Service was friendly and most important there is a happy hour and the prices are very much not NYC. (Think $12 for an Old Fashion). Later in the night the same drink runs about double. Located on top of the HRH roof top. Very loud on sat night. Regaton music was playing the night we went. I love Regaton so it was great. Very club atmosphere. It's very hard to carry on a conversation. The outdoor patio is very nice. Amazing view in NYC. Much quieter if you want to carry on a conversation, But the night we went, it started to rain so they closed it. I only got a quick photo. There's a selection of mock tails. Located at the 34th floor of Hard Rock Hotel. As you enter the front door, you will be escorted to the elevator going up. Nice place to hang out and have a couple of drinks. The bar itself is so beautiful. Restroom is updated which is very clean and bright. Our server was nice too! read more

My colleagues and I were pleasantly surprised at the superb quality of the food at RT60! We ordered several "towers" and loved the boef bourgignon sandwiches and potatoes pave the most. Stunning decor added to the upscale vibe, and the outdoor terraces offer a true "city" experience away from the traffic below. It's a gorgeous space, inside or out, and we really enjoyed our cocktails and bites before calling it a night. The hostess was wonderfully welcoming and accommodating. It's a gorgeous space with indoor, outdoor covered/heated, and outdoor uncovered spaces to lounge with great DJ beats that make you dance in your seat. That being said, the bar prices are on the expensive side, even by Manhattan standards. If you can score one of their special food deal nights or special deals, try to aim for those if you're local and can pick and choose your night out. That full price menu is better suited for the corporate credit card night out with a minimum spend of around $50 for one drink and a light bite. If Hard Rock RT60 wants to pull in the pre-theatre, or post-theatre local crowd, or the Broadway employee crowd, they may need to get a little more creative with specials for locals. read more

When we first arrived we were told that there were no more reservations for the "premiere outdoor seating" and we would have up sit at the bar or on the opposite outside seating" ... Sat down and went to SevenRooms and booked a reservation for 7:30pm (it was 7:27pm)... Went back to host stand and told him "we have a reservation" and he looked surprised ... Went outside and he went on and on about how the sun would be too hot blah blah blah .. Realized the BS he was on and sat at the bar and was greeted with the BEST ENERGY from Ethan ... The food was delicious, the John Wick drinks are good, and the views were great. But the service was extremely lackluster. For the price I paid for the cocktails and food, I expected far more. Here are some observations I had taken note of as the night went on: [x] No menu was present at our table upon our arrival, and the staff did not ask if we needed one. [x] We didn't get any plates or napkins with our meals. The waitress simply gave us a dish of the sliders and fries without forks, napkins, or individual plates. [x] We were given a small bottle of SEALED ketchup with the meal that was hard to open. [x] When we asked for the plates and napkins, the waiter gave it to the wrong table at first. [x] The staff didn't take our empty plates away after two different encounters we had with them. Our water glasses were always empty as well. [x] Waitress did not check in throughout the night. She was often nowhere in sight or seen chatting with the front desk. [x] The music keeps changing volume sporadically I gave credit where credit is due with the captions for the photo, but the service I received has made me not want to come back or recommend this place to anyone I know. read more

Popped by here after church one day. Security asked if we had a reservation (we didn't) then let us up anyway. When we got upstairs they told us they didn't accept reservations that day anyway and they didn't know why security even asked us. Drinks were good but service was unbearably slow despite it being quite empty and way too expensive for service to be that bad. The view is fine but not insane enough to be worth it. Music gets loud and turns into a real club vibe later in the day when it starts filling up. read more

Its a nice place, but the rooftop is kind on the lower side (34th floor). Beautiful place. It's more for cocktails, a nice place for a date, is open later than other rooftops (2am). Kind of pricey though ($24 Margarita). Love the staff, friendly and helpful. read more

All the services are 5 star at this roof top bar. Food and services were outstanding and the cocktails on the menu are delicious. We have to shout out to Santiago at the RT60 for making sure we were treated like rock stars. We dined there daily and rocked out to live DJ music at night. We tried several tapa's during our stay, and not a single one was disappointing. The chief who runs this kitchen has to be one of the best in New York City. You will love the friendly people and energy of this place. The out door patio has over head heaters and comfortable seating with some good views of the Times Square lights. In door seating is sophisticated and comfortable. We have been to several roof top bars in NYC and this one now is our favorite! read more

The server's attitude is like "we don't need you here" (but mid you, the place is empty). The security guard (white shirts) came out to the patio with management (in black suits) to the table next to us and started trouble with the guests, [apparently staying at the hotel.] Now I don't know what had actually happened... there is both sides of any story but damn!!! .... The group next to us was in suits and professional and calm. But the security guard got aggressive and cursed one of the guests in the group ... "fuck you!" Is what all heard and he looked like he wanted to get into physical altercation. It got super uncomfortable after that. It was so crazy. Avoid this place at all costs, it's a horrible experience. I'm only giving two stars cause the view and the sexy and nice bartenders. The bartenders saved the night and were the only staff who were helpful. First, why have reservations if they don't matter? I reserved a table and was asked inside or outside even though I had reserved inside. It's like they didn't even read the reservation. We sat. And nothing. No one came to serve us. At all. We eventually asked about a server and the bartender said they would find someone. 15 minutes later, my friend and I just went to the bar and ordered on our own. We saw others being waited on, so not sure why we didnt get anyone to serve us, with a reservation at that. Would not come here again. Which is ashame, given we are staying at the hotel. read more

We had a table for 5 on the outside balcony overlooking Times Square on a Tuesday night. Overall, the bar wasn't very crowded and all tables were first come first served. A server came up to us and claimed she had a reservation coming in and we all had to move from our table. It seemed like an odd statement since these tables don't take reservations. We had already ordered drinks at the bar and brought them with us so it appeared she might be disappointed that we weren't ordering more drinks through her, hence why she asked us to leave. We were at the hotel for a large group work event for the week and I suspect we were the highest revenue guests at the hotel. The small things matter. read more

I will give it 2 stars because it's simply not worth it the price. Definitely not recommended for locals, but I was surprised by how average the place is for what they charge... I paid $45 for a drink and it was tasteless, terrible presentation. I tried hard to finish it, but it was just too sweet and nothing like the description. You can see it in the picture; it looks like a cup of water. 0/5 stars for it. I also got the sliders and they were good (4/5), and the French fries were ok, but for the price of $18, I'll just give it a 2/5 stars. The view is meh, but it's worth checking out if you are already there. The ambiance is nice and the service was ok, and even though the guy who made our drinks didn't check on us at all, there was a nicer bartender there who talked to us, so maybe our bartender was just having a bad day. If I had just had a beer, I wouldn't have had the same complains. read more
