My husband's eyes were burning as well and he was coughing while in the restaurant. This is obviously not right, and they need to seriously address the ventilation in the kitchen. This has never happened before in our years visiting the place. Side note: when you register, you get to choose the cake flavor. They provide all the tools you need to decorate your cakes, and teach you tips along the way. The owner and her assistant were very helpful and ensured everyone was happy with their cakes. We've already sliced up are cakes, and they were delicious. However, before I drove over, I use their QR code to order online when I realized that cinnamon buns have to be pre-ordered. But I called, Gentry was very kind to let me know that even though she had a large order of cinnamon buns, she could spare two for me! I dashed over to the shop, the cinnamon buns had come out of the oven and with the icing melting on top. I bought my order of two and went home to enjoy them. We were very happy with our selection and now we know we can pre-order. PS Cinnamon Buns are only available on Saturday and we will be back!

Management, I'm talking to you - the new staff members that have been present during our visits in the past month do not fit the ethos of your business. Service has been sloppy. Your new staff members failed to properly check with the kitchen on allergens and sold us an item that could have put me in the hospital had I not paid closer attention. On top of this, they've completely forgotten items that we have paid for. Now, this isn't the first time this has happened here - but whenever it's happened in the past, staff has always been very apologetic and gone above and beyond to make it right on our next visit. This time? Victim-blaming, and a lackluster recommendation to contact a manager - no apology, no attempt to right the wrong. If I wanted shoddy service and apathetic attitudes, I'd go to a chain. What makes Stork's special is its food, yes, but also its sense of community. And lately? You've been severely underwhelming in this category.

Taster box was $50 for 5 flavors, that was no problem until they said the flavors are randomized and we can't choose which flavors we want to test. It also would've been cheaper and better to get cupcakes in the different flavors because its $5 per cupcake so we could've tried 10 instead of 5, but they said we'd have to find out what the "flavor of the day" is and they won't make them unless it's already been made. For an upgrade to the contract we had, they said it was going to be a "few hundred dollars" extra as well. Seems like they just want money instead of letting us have a good experience. Which really wouldn't be a problem paying for if we had a good experience but overall it wasn't so we won't be giving our money to this company.
