I hate needing to drop stars from local places that I love, but Stork's has a recent problem that needs to be called out. Namely - staff and service. Management, I'm talking to you - the new staff members that have been present during our visits in the past month do not fit the ethos of your business. Service has been sloppy. Your new staff members failed to properly check with the kitchen on allergens and sold us an item that could have put me in the hospital had I not paid closer attention. On top of this, they've completely forgotten items that we have paid for. Now, this isn't the first time this has happened here - but whenever it's happened in the past, staff has always been very apologetic and gone above and beyond to make it right on our next visit. This time? Victim-blaming, and a lackluster recommendation to contact a manager - no apology, no attempt to right the wrong. If I wanted shoddy service and apathetic attitudes, I'd go to a chain. What makes Stork's special is its food, yes, but also its sense of community. And lately? You've been severely underwhelming in this category. read more

For a bakery open late; they blew me away with the freshness! I must admit I went in with the bar low due to me going at like 9pm. I prepared myself for things to be sold out. Surprise surprise!!! What a selection. I've ordered from Uber Eats before from here, sweets only though. The inside is diner-esque yet modern. I didn't take a picture of the dining room because people were sitting. I took my order to go. The potato broccoli spinach soup was "chef's kiss". The smell escaped the bag the whole way home. I assumed the soup consistency was going to be thick but I'm so happy it wasn't. It was brothy with fresh chunks of potato. The filling of the eclair tasted super fresh. I had been searching for a week for a bakery that would make Cannolis without chocolate chips. Lo and behold at the last minute, Stork's Bakery & Coffee House came to my rescue. Every bakery I spoke to was negative in their response to me. They all said it was not worth making a small amount of Cannoli Cream for a small amount of Cannolis. On the other hand, Stork's Bakery was so accommodating to my request for a dozen cannolis without chocolate chips. The young lady I spoke with (Lisa), was an absolute angel. When I placed my order over the phone and offered to pay for it with one of my credit cards, Lisa just said pay for the cannolis when you pick them up. I brought six of the cannolis over to a friend's establishment, and they said that these were absolutely the best cannolis they had ever eaten. Came to Storks specifically for a carrot cake craving that just wouldnt go away. Unfortunately when I got there they didn't have any out, but they say it never hurts to ask! And luckily enough for me, they did have one in the back that just hadn't been cut yet. However, I couldn't just get a slice of carrot cake. I ended up getting that, a slice of tiramisu cake, a berry trifle and a fruit tart. The workers there were very friendly, fast and on top of everything! While all the treats were super pleasing to the eyes, they fell a little flat on flavor. The carrot cake was very bland and a bit dry, certainly not enough spices. The tiramisu cake tasted nothing like tiramisu but this one was still moist and tasty. The tart had delicious and fresh pieces of fruit on top, but the tart itself was a bit over baked and hard. The trifle was probably the best thing, a bit bizarre texture-wise, but the flavor really stood out. Everything was a little less than $30. Still love Storks! My go to for holiday treats. Mama's Fudge Cake is always requested by the family, and it never fails to be a hit. We are lucky they are open on holidays, so please always be patient and kind. The staff is friendly and helpful, even when super busy. Outside of holidays, they offer a great selection. Love the breakfast croissant sandwiches, and their Creme Brule coffee is my favorite. Take out, or dine in with seating inside, or on the covered patio. Highly recommend a visit! read more

I dined in on a weekend. The restaurant had only been open less than 10 minutes and that was already a line of about 10 people but it wasn't a long wait. I ordered a hot coffee and a quiche. The quiche was heated though still cold in places and the crust was a little soggy on the bottom. I would likely try a sandwich or a pastry next time instead. Stumbled upon a charming spot in Wilton Manors with a lot to offer. The bakery itself seems to have a great mix of freshly made pastries and some more substantial meal options, which is always nice for a bakery that could easily just stick to sweets and coffee. While waiting in line for about ten minutes, I noticed a woman grab a plastic wrapped danish from a shallow wooden box containing an assortment of pastries with a sign stating, "Day Old Pastries Bread and Cookies $1.50". What, Did I just read that correctly? Without hesitation, I quickly grabbed a blueberry danish. What an excellent find, especially if you don't mind a slightly older, more affordable option. The mix of fresh coffee options, from specialty beans to classic brews, adds to the experience too. There's something about the smell of fresh coffee wafting through the air, especially when the classic stainless steel cappuccino machines are working their magic. The wall of self-serve fresh coffee beans was impressive and offered ten unique flavors including - Pumpkin Spice, Jamaican Me Crazy, Sumatra, Hazelnut, French Vanilla and Angel Kiss. The seating options, particularly the large outdoor patio, made this a comfortable space to linger and enjoy the vibe for a while. Carefully bit into the deliciously flaky danish with a sweet blueberry filling - definitely a homerun. During each bite, I was able to savor that treat while thinking it was such a great deal which really added to the experience. Amazing key lime pie!!!!! 2 slices for 12 bucks and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The women behind the counter were so helpful and friendly. Recommended different options of desserts and were helpful the entire time. The pie was flavorful and tart but not too tart where you squint your eyes haha. I came here with my daughter because last minute on her birthday she wanted a cupcake. Since this place was open until midnight we drove here really fast and we walked inside. It was such a cute cafe with an inviting atmosphere. They only had two types of cupcakes for some reason. Im not sure if it was because it was close to closing time but my daughter decided to eat the turkey cupcake which she really enjoyed. I ordered the key lime lemonade because it sounded so good. Storks has been around for more than 20 years, and even had another location off Las Olas. Dad's favorite bakery for years and would head to Wilton Manors for a Jack Daniel's Pecan Tart and Congo Bar. Wife always favorited the Peanut Butter Cookie. Dad's gone now, and so was the JD Tart, but that Congo Bar Remains. The Peanut Butter Cookie also remained but devoid of the sugar crystals that once adorned its top. We found other items fresh pastries and a White Chocolate Lemon Tart to try. Place is business at 1030 with about 1/2 dozen in line. It does not move quickly. Each person taking orders also appears to be barista and expediter. They perhaps would move quicker with dedicated positions and staff to specialize. One nice jovial lady behind the line was dealing with the more sophisticated sandwich orders. It was a nice blast from the past while in area. Likely not back soon, but only because no location in our area. Sure wish the Jack Daniel's Pecan Tart remained. read more

I had Stork's delivered today for the first time and it felt kind of average. I got the scrambled eggs with bacon and potatoes. The eggs were good they defintely needed some salt and pepper though. The potato's tasted really good I enjoyed the seasoning on them but some were a little undercooked. The bacon was crispy though which was nice since it was delivery. I also ordered a slice of chocolate cream pie which in my eyes was the star of the show. The flakey crust and the thick whipped cream and the sweet chocolate. It was absolutely delicious. I defintely want to try out more of their baked goods as they are a bakery and from tasting that pie they defintely know what they're doing. honestly, this café is definitely a hidden gem in the Wilton manors neighborhood! I work nearby, and frequently stop for an iced coffee and a pastry for breakfast. The staff is incredibly friendly, the food is amazingly high-quality, and the price is fair. I've tried a number of their pastries, including the croissant, fruit tart, but the one item that I could not recommend more is the snickerdoodle cookie! Definitely give this place to try if you're in the neighborhood and need of a pick me up! Their hours are also very convenient, when I do have a night shift, I swing by for another iced coffee around 8 PM - and it taste just as good as when I pick it up in the morning!parking can be a little difficult since they have limited on site parking, but there's plenty of free street parking within walking distance. read more

A couple of friends and I are regular customers of Storks. I love coming there because they have the best decaffeinated coffee I've ever had. It's the snickerdoodle blend. It is the only decaf that doesn't have a decaf bitter taste. When I come in the afternoon, I don't want too much caffeine. The reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because on my last visit, I was waiting there about 20 minutes for my friends to arrive and during that whole time they didn't come to freshen up the self-serve area. There was hardly any half & half left, there was liquid on the table, and I got one of the last cup covers. At first they were quite busy, but there was a lull and the servers didn't check out this area. So all in all, I would definitely come here again, but I hope that this is just a freak incident, because it's important for a self-serve area to be sanitary. read more

The key lime slice had gone bad, something tasted off and it tasted like rotten milk, as well as had an odd scent to it. Incredibly disappointing to spend money on something that had gone bad. We love Storks!! Recently stopped in for a breakfast sandwich and went with the BEC on an everything bagel. The bagel was perfectly cooked. Crisp on the outside with a soft interior and just the right amount of seasoning. When i popped it open you could see the melty cheese, crispy bacon and fried egg.
