I needed a cake for my daughters birthday. I did some research on Google. Read a bunch of different reviews from different companies. The Cake Lovers seem to have the best reviews I sent my order in through their website within about 24 hours. I received an email back starting the process. This was for my daughter's 40th birthday. I wanted it to be amazing. They did a lovely two tear cake for me half of it was confetti and the other half was cookies and cream. I had rave reviews from everyone at the party the cake was moist and delicious Customer service was fantastic. Instructions were clear and concise. I will definitely be ordering again. This is my new cake place! Also, I was excited to hear that on Thursday, Thursdays, and Fridays you can also go by the shop and just buy desserts that they've made for the day out of the refrigerator. What's not to love about that! As a disclaimer, I purchased the topper separately.

All I can say is WOW! I ordered a cake for my law firm's 25th anniversary and had a specific request that it look like the founding partner's desk and chair. The cake lovers are amazing! First of all, short notice and they happily provided an immediate quote and option. Extremely professional description of what they could offer. When the cake arrived it was the most artful realistic cake I've ever seen including distress to the desk and chair. The details were insane like a working desk lamp. Yes it lit up!! Best of all the cake was delicious insanely good. Butter chip best flavor. Will use them for every cake from now on!

Went for a quote for my sister's quince and they wanted to nickel and dime everything without even getting our opinion. Taster box was $50 for 5 flavors, that was no problem until they said the flavors are randomized and we can't choose which flavors we want to test. It also would've been cheaper and better to get cupcakes in the different flavors because its $5 per cupcake so we could've tried 10 instead of 5, but they said we'd have to find out what the "flavor of the day" is and they won't make them unless it's already been made. For an upgrade to the contract we had, they said it was going to be a "few hundred dollars" extra as well. Seems like they just want money instead of letting us have a good experience. Which really wouldn't be a problem paying for if we had a good experience but overall it wasn't so we won't be giving our money to this company. read more

Our boss picked up a couple of dozen cupcakes. I had a gluten free cupcake. I'm not gluten intolerant. This was the only cupcake that was left. The frosting is delicious. Not too sweet. I loved the vanilla cupcake and I would recommend this bakery to anyone that has gluten allergies. read more

First I would like to state I was not the person that bought the cake; I only had the enjoyment of eating the cake. I was pleasantly surprised since I find that most specialty cake stores have a beautiful presentation but the cake falls flat. That was not the case for The Cake Lovers. The cake was a cookies and cream cake with buttercream frosting. The cake was delicious and incredible moist. It was a Paw Patrol themed birthday party and the decorations on the cake were absolutely too cute. The only draw back was there was no instruction on how to cut the cake given the size and it eventually fell over. I did see the cost of the cake and it was more than I would have expected for a one tier cake but it was a great cake. read more

Good looking cakes & cupcakes. If you're having a special event it's worth giving this bakery a try. The decor on my grandson's cupcakes for his third birthday at school was adorable. My only complaint is it was too pricey for me and I never complain about prices. I paid about $12 a cupcake. They're small cupcakes. I wouldn't go back unless it's a very special occasion. I have ordered from The Cake Lovers for 2 separate events- The first one, the cake was just so delicious and beautiful that I had them cater my brothers engagement party- They made custom cake pops, macaroons and cake (and cake topper) to match the theme. Their team is so easy to work with, the desserts taste AMAZING, and their design is unmatched. Everyone LOVED IT!!!!!!!!! There aren't enough words to describe how incredible Nicole and The Cake Lovers are. For my mom's 80th birthday, relying upon email exchanges and a few phone calls, Nicole created an amazing and stunning masterpiece representing my mom's life. I was nearly brought to tears when Nicole - as petite and bright and warm as her cakes are beautiful - brought the piece de resistance into the restaurant. The craftsmanship! The detail! The loving care so clearly taken ... just breathtaking. Everyone at the party was in awe and are still raving about it. And the cakes are *delicious*! The primary 3-tier cake had vanilla on the bottom two tiers and lemon lovers on the top, and the accompanying sheet cake we ordered (also beautifully decorated) was midnight truffle. This is a business worth trying and returning to over and over, folks. Nicole, the owner, is not just an amazing artist and craft baker but an extraordinary professional. My only sadness is that we live out of state - if only there was a way to be able to order EVERY cake ever from The Cake Lovers! read more

These ladies know how to make cake! 3 of my family members had birthdays in May so I wanted to do something nice while we were visiting Ft. Lauderdale and I turned to Yelp and they did now disappoint! They outdid themselves and even beat out the cake shown in the example I sent them. My experience placing an order with The Cake Lovers was easy and I was given great customer service at the time of ordering. The cake taste great and was moist. My disappointment was all in the presentation, they said they'd put the cake and the cupcakes on multiple level cake stands to make it look nice, I walk in and found them spread out directly on the table, not too pretty. My wedding planner told me they wanted to just drop it all off for the planner to place on the table, she declined and this is the end result. My advise is to get the total arrangements (in detail) in writing if you want a nice presentation. read more

Meet the Business Owner: Cake Lovers l.

Nicole had a passion for art and baking since childhood. Her journey into cake making began in 2005 when she baked her sons first birthday cake, unaware of the path ahead. She created cakes for family and friends which thankfully allowed her to learn the trade. Growing up in the food and hospitality industry also guide her towards entrepreneurship. She takes pride in being self-taught. In 2009, Nicole officially launched The Cake Lovers. While the journey has been challenging, every moment has been worthwhile. In 2017 her dream of opening a cake shop came true. She now has an incredibly talented staff that are classically trained pastry chefs & cake artists. They are just as passionate as she is, and it shows. The Cake Lovers /Nicole was the winner on The Cooking channels show Cake Hunters in 2018 and in 2020 crowned winner of Buddy Valastro's big time bake. The cake Lovers is dedicated team looking forward to new successes and focus on community involvement.

I asked them to choose my drink because I was feeling very indecisive and I have no regrets! I cannot believe this little gem has been sitting right here and I'm only now discovering it. I've never been a cake person and never asked for them on my birthday, but she made my birthday cake last year and we were all fighting for the last slice at home. That's what the black cocoa cake pictured here is. Her cakes taste high quality and you can tell she uses premium ingredients to bring you the best baked goods. They're not grossly sweet, and every flavor is distinct as described. Not only that, they're incredibly beautiful. She's an artist and I highly recommend just giving her a color scheme or a general idea and letting her do her thing. I've also tried her cookies, and I was in love. We had grace and forgave The Cake Lovers last year when they messed up the cake banner on the corvette cake we ordered. We didn't leave a bad review and still gave them a second chance this year due to their reviews and photos of other pleased customers. We were hoping to have a better experience and hoped to receive a beautiful cake like they advertise. Unfortunately during the first reveal the name was misspelled, Jackie said she could fix it and will be right back. My mother in law confirmed that she gave her the proper spelling of the name plenty of times and that Jackie had even written down so we don't understand how you could mess it up but we said ok no problem she's going to fix it. When Jackie returned and revealed her patch work we were disappointed once again. It was obvious she quickly printed out the name and slapped it onto the "custom plate" on the patron themed cake we ordered. We informed her that it didn't look good and we did not like how obvious it is. She once again said she could fix it but it would take half an hour. As everyone is aware, when you place these orders it's due to you wanting to celebrate a special occasion. We of course want the cake we ordered and paid for to look perfect and eye pleasing. We waited and instead of letting us see the cake inside Jackie brought it out to our car as if she was just rushing us to leave and not giving us an option to have her fix it incase we didn't like it. When I say this cake looks extremely unprofessional and HALF ASSED!!! I don't know how Jackie felt confident or comfortable letting a customer leave with a cake like that. It looks like she slapped printer paper on top of the custom plate and put a big ugly rectangle on the middle for the name. It looks horrible. Jackie knew we were extremely disappointed especially since this is the second year in a row and all she had to say for herself and the bakery is that she's not the one who decorates the cake and that the boss will call us on Monday to see how she can help us. What do you mean how can she help us??? The party is today and Jackie ruined our cake. What is the boss going to do? You already let the cake go. I honestly don't know how this company can advertise perfect work and then gives us disappointing cakes two years in a row. read more

Everything was PERFECT!!! I made a last minute request and they were very accommodating (others turned me and my Bougie Birthday requests down), so much so that they sketched my dream cake when they didn't offer the design I googled. Most of the time the cakes that are pleasing to the eye are not as pleasing to the palate or go bad (doesn't stay soft and fluffy) very quickly, but NOT in this case!!! The cakes & mini cupcakes looked GORGEOUS, they tasted BETTER than they looked even with buttercream frosting (sweet and flavorful frosting and moist cake that melts in your mouth), the cake did not harden when left out overnight (I prefer room temp cake), and EVERYONE LOVED the cake and mini cupcakes, which made it even more spectacular!!! Literally PERFECT, at room temp, and nearly perfect eaten cold!!! The treats that were used to decorate were not just edible but absolutely delicious (white chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate pieces, cookie pieces, etc.), and I don't really like macaroons but I like theirs. And the answer is YES, their cakes and cupcakes look and taste better than your best or favorite Publix/Costco/Sam's cake!!! Nobody has EVER surpassed Publix++ by such a large margin with such reasonable prices, greatly catered customer care (they provide more than a service, they care - they even found me a decorator, Aquarelle, who was AMAZING for my last minute needs), and high quality products that satisfy the pickiest of people. They have earned my trust and are now my exclusive cake/cupcake shop, also great location-wise in the heart of Broward County. read more

My boss of 16 years turned 75 this year (and celebrated his 50th year in practice as a criminal defense attorney). His birthday happened to fall on the week of our annual Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers annual meeting. This year we were in Ft. Lauderdale. With a crowd of 300+ of his closest friends and colleagues, I knew the cake had to be something special. I contacted several bakeries in the area. The Cake Lovers was the first to respond and were so accommodating. I was very vague with what I wanted as I didn't really know for sure. I told them a few of my boss's likes and dislikes and left it in their hands. The final product was beyond anything I could have imagined. They created a masterpiece! It was a cigar box complete with cutter, ashtray, and cigars. Every single piece was edible. The look was so incredibly realistic that upon being presented with the cake (after lecturing hundreds of attendees), my boss tried to open it as if it were an actual cigar box! I highly recommend The Cake Lovers. Every single step of the process was easy. They packaged the cake with care and allowed me to pick it up. I am a snowbird from Long Island. I spent several days searching for the most delicious BD cake for a relative who lives in Coral Springs. Attendees at the party have highly selective palates. They are the type that put a fork to their mouths to taste the cake and then push the plate away. What can I say but we have all been spoiled by the best-of-the-best in NY. The Cake Lovers cake was gorgeously decorated I must say. The "Cake Boss" couldn't have done it any better. However, the contents were more than delicious. This cake was delectably perfect! There wasn't even a crumb leftover. Wow, I am salivating and wishing I had a slice right now. Ordering was simple. My wishes were easily accepted. I ordered my friend's 30th birthday cake from The cake lovers. I was searching for places that do special orders on cakes and came across these guys. I emailed one of the owners the specifics of the cake. Let me say this, the service was outstanding. Coleene, one of the owners, was very accommodating, especially the fact that I placed my order three days before I needed it. Usually you would have to place your order about two weeks prior. I order the red velvet cake with vanilla buttercream filling and fondant icing. There were other specific details to the cake as well. The end results was a beautiful creation. The cake it self was delish!! Although the cake was beautifully decorated and tasty, the one thing that I really loved was the service. I seriously cannot recommend Cake Lovers enough. We used them for a wedding cake and they were AMAZING. They have so many flavors to try - not your typical chocolate and vanilla. And every flavor is to die for. We had them make a cookie cake for our grooms cake and it was the best cookie cake I've ever had. My husband and I ate leftover cake our entire honeymoon and it was worth every calorie. Their cakes are also GORGEOUS. While they are slightly on the more expensive side, it is well worth it. The cake was truly outstanding in every way!! It was my girlfriend's 50th birthday and they made a black Burberry shopping bag with white rope handles with a scarf coming out of the top in the traditional Burberry print standing up on a white base cake with a red bow around the bottom. Everything was made out of cake and fondant. The artwork was outstanding!! It looked SO real!! The best cake artwork I have EVER seen and the best part was the cake tasted as good as it looked.
