Fear not, Sweets by Kash to the rescue!!! I called Lindsey up about 3.5 months out from our wedding date and explained everything. She did say that was not her specialty, but man she hit it out of the park! We were having a small wedding and wanted to have cheesecake as our "cake". We already had a sweets table and wanted to beef up the options for guests, as well as pay homage to our first date. Our first date was at the Cheesecake Factory and we thought it would be perfect for us. It was easy to set up a tasting. We chose to pick up the cheesecake from Lindsey and have a little date night at home and test it all out. The packaging was super cute and the decorations on top were beautiful. But the flavors, WOW! I think cheesecake is so underrated. It's rich and creamy and is such a great dessert. We devoured the tasting cheesecake in a few days LOL. Honestly, with how simple everything was to set up and get answers to our questions immediately, I knew we had someone good. But the flavors, MMMMMMMMM!!! We didn't even finish an entire piece and I knew Lindsey was the baker for us. We love to support local businesses as well, so in the end everything worked out. So we booked Sweets by Kash and had her deliver to our venue and set up the cheesecake for us. They were all so beautiful and we got so many compliments on the taste. We ordered chocolate chip cheesecake and Oreo, as well as a gluten free chocolate chip cheesecake. Our GF guests really appreciated being able to eat a dessert in its entirety and said it was outstanding. We opted to save the top so we could enjoy that deliciousness all weekend, but someone walked away with it sadly. I will absolutely placing an order so we can celebrate our wedding anniversary with our special cheesecake (and no, I will not be waiting an entire year, because that cheesecake is too dang good to wait!). I have been going to Mariano's for quite some time now and about 1 to 4 times a month lately. I…read morehave bought sandwiches that have been marked down because the date is near and the bread has been stale already even though it's within a day or two of the sell by date. I have also bought things from the bakery that have been marked down and they have been very stale even though the sell by date was one to two days into the future. So a couple days ago I buy this pork prepackaged and not entirely inexpensive and I go to cook it today. It's been in the refrigerator and the sale by date is tomorrow, but it looks so discolored and old. I'm not even going to try to open it and smell it. I'm taking it back tomorrow and I'm really sick and tired of taking things back to the grocery stores that are rotten. It is a drive to any of them and i may or may not have enough time to drive back, find a place to park, and go in and take care of business. I have ended up just throwing things out like little bakery items that were a couple bucks or a sandwich that was three or four instead of eight or six dollars. I think my days of shopping at Mariano's are over. Definitely stay away from markdowns, Also Their prices on most things are not cheap but I will say usually their full price fresh veggies and fruit are good and fresh. Hard to go from place to place for this and that though.
