The Name of the Motel is now Elite Inn and Suites. This place is horrible. Their non-smoking rooms…read moreare rooms that have definitely been smoked in. There was a plastic bag covering the smoke detector of the room that I slept in for three days. The toilet was stopped up the first night I stayed, and the manager had a horrible disposition when I brought this to her attention. I guess she'd be okay with at the motel that has a backed up toliet. I cleaned my own room my entire stay. I had doctor's appointments in the area, tried to get clean sheets on the last night. Night person said you should have gotten the sheets during the day. I cleaned the bathroom after the staff finally came to plunger the toilet. Walls of bathroom were stained with residual smoke from allowing guest who pay extra or a deposit in order to smoke in their so-called smoke-free room. Bugs from outdoor have free range to come in the room under the gap under the door. There's a bottle of Clean Freak in the dresser drawer. The shower curtain is yellow from all the smoking that occurs in their smoke-free rooms. Smoke-free or non-smoking rooms are supposed to be rooms that haven't been smoked in, right? But if you're going to allow smoking in rooms for a fee or deposit that negates the -smoke-free or non-smoking status of the room. The shower curtain is the only part of the bathroom that wasn't cleaned. Have you staff wash the shower curtain with bleach, so it has the appearance of being in a non-smoking room. Will never stay here again. Thanks for providing a room to sleep in. I cleaned the bathroom to make a point that you room aren't smoke-free, or non-smoking if there's smoking in the room. Period. Waste of money and just a horrible experience. Trying to save money, will get you horrible customer service and half azz cleaned rooms.

A respectable value for the money…read more We booked the room on an aggregator (Brek.com) at about 9pm for our 11pm arrival with no issues. This is for a Saturday night, one night stay. One room with two double beds for two adults. We paid just $80 plus $10 taxes and fees for $90 total. Outside the hotel looks sketchy but inside it looks fine, nice. (Was fine other than the smoking stick really close to the main entrance.) If you realize this is a maintained but inexpensive, budget hotel and it won't be perfect, you should be fine. But don't expect a 3-star hotel experience for this 2-star hotel, right off the Interstate. The check in went smooth and quick. The night desk attendant was friendly. I liked that at our check in, at the front desk. there was a sign stating what the breakfast menu items were (all cold) so we were mentally prepared for no warm/hot food. (Very minimal cold breakfast. Weak instant coffee!) The room was clean with no over bearing bad smell like some hotels have. Although you can tell the walls and doors have been patched, it wasn't bad. But don't expect perfection. The fan worked great! But the AC didn't work. (Or they had it turned off because of the time of year it was). We couldn't get the room cooled down to our normal cool temperature. We would have liked the room maybe 5 degrees cooler for sleeping. I also liked the Pergo/laminate floor in our room.. I think they are so much cleaner and sanitary than carpeted floors. The hotel was located like 90 seconds off the Interstate. It was very easy to get to. But you could hear some highway noise (we had our window open to try to cool the room down). The parking lot was well lit, Our room had a very slow draining sink. Clean linens and a respectable bed and pillows. The comforter was very thin. The hotel was an L-Shaped Building. I didn't hear any noise from inside the building BUT: There was parking lot noise including someone honking their horn at 5am. You could also occasional hear street and highway noise . We were in room facing south, directly toward the parking lot and Interstate. If I were to stay here again, I would strongly avoid south and west facing rooms, to avoid parking lot and highway noise. My first (strong) choice would be North-Facing Rooms. Second Choice would be East- Facing rooms. Wearing ear plugs might not be a bad option. A respectable value for the money but don't expect perfection. Based on this experience, we would come back assuming: * Our room: 1) Had a working AC (to cool down room for nice sleeping Temp). 2) Was east or north facing, but not towards parking lot and Interstate. 3) Not critical: No slow draining sink. I'd have given 3.5 stats but half stars aren't allowed. I would have given it 5-stars but for the street/highway noise and non-working AC. Regardless, I'd be ok staying here in a pinch, especially for the price paid, but would wear ear plugs next time due to street and highway noise.

All of the negative comments you read here are basically true in our experience. The hallway rugs…read moresmelled old and moldy. The room was run down and did not feel clean. We didn't see insects or hair, but the facility is old and gives you a negative vibe. The saving grace was a comfortable bed and strong AC unit, and good TV channels. "Breakfast" was disappointing- one type of cereal, coffee, OC, bread slices, and fruit cups. Btw, the next night we stayed at the Super 8 in Hebron/Lowell in Indiana which was excellent for the same price- it was night and day... my point is, for the same price, not all Super 8 are maintained the same. I would not stay here again.

I've stayed here several times over the past few months, and it's fine. It's a newer building so…read morethe rooms are generously sized and the furnishings are nice. My kiddo prefers to just sleep on the large sofa directly instead of the pull-out bed. Wish the pillows were better. I had a security incident on my first visit - housekeeping forgot to undo the deadbolt that they had used when cleaning the room, so when I got back to my room very late that night, the door was open. I was utterly exhausted and didn't have the energy to switch rooms. Luckily it didn't seem like anything was stolen, but I really didn't have any mental energy to spend - this was the day after a family member passed away - and I just wanted to crash into bed. I did speak with an assistant manager the next day who apologized profusely, and thankfully I haven't had any other issues since then. I really wish the breakfast was better - I miss a waffle maker. The breakfast variety isn't great, and sometimes there can be a big rush of people. One morning, there was a crowd waiting for more pancakes, and when more came out, there were only enough for a few people. It was awkward. Most mornings, I just end up with hard boiled eggs and a bagel - the hot options looked too greasy or soggy. For me, this hotel is about the location - it's very convenient for me so I put up with the meh breakfast. It's also a little less expensive than some of the nearby hotels, and I appreciate the Hyatt rewards program.

The hotel is also in a quiet area with food and shopping within 10 min. This trip we were able to utilize the pool area, which was nice and warm. The pool was a comfortable temp and wasn't freezing! The workout room also is equipped with a peloton (for us peloton users). The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We were able to also have dinner at the restaurant downstairs and the sandwiches were delish. My husband also got wings, which were delicious and cooked perfectly. The staff gave our kiddo some coloring pages and crayons while we were waiting for our food. I forgot to take pictures of the room before we had our stay but everything was clean and comfy for us. I would 100% stay here again if we are back in the area.

I still have yet to get my refund. The hotel's manager Nastasha I believe is her name, has been giving me the run around. And I have yet to receive my money.
