This was the bathroom floor in a clean room.
    Tammi W.

Stayed here at the last minute. It appeared to be a motel that people live in as the lot was completely full no matter what time of day it was. We had to park in a business lot next door. The room was not clean but I could deal with that as long as I didn't see living things in the room which I didn't. The reason I give it one star is because shortly after leaving and driving a few hours toward home I realized that I had left a pajama shirt there. I called right away knowing that they probably hadn't even been to the room yet. I left my name number and kept calling everyday for a week just to keep getting brushed off like it's nothing. I know it was still there when I called. So frustrating that you can't check or get it out of the room. I would have paid the shipping to mail it back to me. Just wanted my shirt. And IF this business reads this and calls me about my solid black long sleeve pajama shirt then I will remove that from my post.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place at all Everything was so dirty, the sink was leaking they put a bucket in there & when we got in the room the lady told us that they could fix it, we said no because we didn't want anybody in the room, they didn't care they just went in there when we weren't in the room, everything so old & so disgusting just take a look of the pictures

The staff is very friendly. The airport shuttle runs 24/7 at Midway which worked out great for us. The parking lot is small and a tight squeeze & open(not locked) but it's manageable. They are working on updating the rooms. We would stay here again.

    mold in the bathroom

We booked this hotel for the weekend of September 27th for our anniversary trip to Chicago. We went with an affordable option close to public transportation thinking that we only needed a safe, clean place to sleep at night. Unfortunately that is not what we got. We were a little put off by the outside appearance of the hotel, but decided to give it the benefit of the doubt, because again safe, clean place to sleep. However, we walked into the room and it was anything but. The blinds were broken in a place that made privacy difficult, AC cover was broken, there was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, the shower floor was dirty, and the sink faucet was not properly secured. But the two most concerning issues was that the smoke detector in the room had been removed and there were just wires hanging out from the wall and the wiring in the bathroom was faulty and the light would just randomly turn off and back on. The room felt very unsafe. So we quickly changed our clothes, so we could make our evening plans, and then checked out. Now we can't get a refund - we did book through hotels.com and they said they would reach out to the management at the hotel to initiate a refund and we found out today, over a week later, that they not only didn't approve our refund, they never even replied to hotels.com request. DO NOT STAY here.

Worst $150 hotel room I have ever stayed in! Avoid this place At all costs! Black mold everywhere in the bathroom The towels are threadbare when I complained the next day I was told that on weekends this particular room is $220. If you choose to stay here inspect the room first and leave!

Very nice staff , very clean, and the have a shuttle service to the airport. Will definitely come again and tell my friends and family.

This place was amazing! After my husband and I missed our flight. We needed a nice, comfortable place to stay. We were exhausted, didn't have our luggage, nothing but the clothes on our backs. Our next flight was 24 hours later! So finding this place was a relief. It's 9 minutes away from the airport. As soon as we arrived, they were very helpful. We stayed the night and instead of charging us for a whole other night, they worked with us and simply charged us for a later checkout time. Check out is at 11AM and we paid extra to stay until 6PM. It was such a relief to not have to pay for another night! Loved the room, the service, and overall the convenience! It brought peace to our hectic situation. In addition, they provide breakfast, free coffee and water all day, there's a vending machine for drinks and snacks. *PLUS* They set up a shuttle to the airport for us so we won't have to deal/struggle to get there. Last but not least, after expressing that we do not have our luggage - they kindly offered to give us a toothbrush, toothpaste, and deodorant. I don't know about you, but when we literally have nothing, getting these hygiene items was a big deal. I can honestly say, they did all they could to make our stay comfortable. Staying here was the relief we needed! THANK YOU SO MUCH! We appreciate everything you did for us in our time of need!

Some of what we had to clear out of the drain,.. there was still more in there

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. it was such an embarrassing situation. My family flew in from Puerto Rico and in wanting them to stay close to my house, we booked 3 rooms at the Carlton Inn Midway. What a HUGE mistake. This place is horrible. The rooms were filthy, the bathrooms were not stacked, no towels, no toilet paper, no soap, no shampoo, no NOTHING at $127.00 per night for 3 nights that we booked. When we asked the front desk for some shampoo, they poured some soap into a plastic cup, that looked more like dish soap. The tubs were clogged, the showers in 2 of the 3 rooms were not working, only the tub faucet worked. Least to say that I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

    peeling wallpaper

Pretty disgusting for $220 a night. Found a baby cockroach under the tv stand, glitter and hair all over the floors, bathroom was moldy and bathtub leaked water. couldn't even close the bathroom door

Continental breakfast offered M-F 6-9a and weekends 7-10a. The meat/eggs offered varies by the day.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, and for a reasonable price! It's not wildly out of the city proper, it was clean and safe, and they offered economically friendly items and a continental breakfast. I stayed here during the beginning of Lollapalooza and was not bothered by the crowd of the city. I had a rental car that I felt safe parking in the hotel lot (it's a compact lot, but seemingly plenty of spaces), and the hotel is near a Target and other corporate stores and fast food joints if needed. The hotel room was clean and offered the most unique execution of amenities I've seen in a room, but it was cool and economically friendly. Even though pets are allowed to stay, I wasn't bothered by any barking nor did the smell of previous pets' stay linger in my room. The lobby service was friendly and knowledgeable, and the free breakfast served daily was good and offered variety. I'd stay here again and recommend this place in a heartbeat.

    Surprisingly large room.
    Amy M.

Reasonably priced rooms, free parking, plus complimentary breakfast?! This place is a steal! You really can't beat it. The room we got was surprisingly spacious with a small dining table, an armoire, and a couch. Laminate floors too! I always appreciate laminate "wood" floors because they seem cleaner and more airy. The bathroom was tiny with only a small shelf to sub in for counter space, but it was definitely functional enough for our one night stay. Beds were okay. Not the most comfortable, but again-- adequate for a short stay. Breakfast was a standard buffet with eggs, sausage, pancakes, and an assortment of bagels, donuts and other bread-based fare. There's a free shuttle that will take you to the train. Although we didn't utilize this, it's good to know it's available. This motel is a great option if you're visiting Chicago, looking to save some money, and you don't mind a short commute into the city.

This hotel was located within the loop near the river, shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel rooms are basic and small. We were fortunate to get an upgraded room with two queen beds and an amazing view out the window of the city. The window was large and clean. The beds were comfy with ample pillows. Four pillows were provided. The hotel set up is a bit awkward. Room is best for one person as lacks storage for large luggage. Plus there is not a defined bathroom. The shower is within the bedroom. Fortunately the shower was frosted but you walk right into the bedroom so you must be comfortable with those you stay with. Plus the room does really have a deck and chair to work. The desk is a fold down from the wall. The chair for the deck is located on the wall and not really suitable for long term working on sitting as does not have a back to it. The best thing above this hotel are the staff. The front desk staff are super friendly and accommodating and aim to please. The bartender was super friendly and attentive as well. Lastly parking is not available right at the hotel. You have to walk two blocks. Plus parking cost 59 dollars and that's the discounted rate. Also not really a suitable place to drop luggage off. If you pull up to the front door, you are blocking traffic. Base on price of 400 dollars the night we stayed, I would say it's not worth the stay. Maybe it's worth 200 or less for Chicago.

I want to say that I have had my eye on this hotel for a while now after looking for Hilton hotel locations with a peloton bike, which this one has. Other than that, I loved that the location of this hotel sits in the heart of Chicago, surrounding a plethora of activities which made it the perfect choice for hotel stay to celebrate. Okay, it was an experience going up to the lobby area to check in at this hotel, a blonde moment as I am known for if you follow my reviews. The lobby is located on the 4th floor, so be sure to choose "L" for the lobby because there is no 4th floor button listed in the elevator. Me and two other hotel guests had an adventure going up to the lobby area after trying to figure out where the 4th floor button was. My experience with the receptionist working behind the desk was nothing less than professional. Since my room was already booked through Hilton Honors, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information, a briefing on what is offered, and the receptionist giving me my room key. For your information, check-in starts at 4:00 PM and check-out ends at 12:00 PM! If you have the Hilton honors application, there is the opportunity to check in with the application, choosing your room, and receiving a digital key, which will allow you to go to your room contactless without seeing a receptionist upon your arrival. I have not used this method, but if you are interested in no contact whatsoever then you can use it with the Hilton Honors application. After locating and entering my room, I thought to myself this is fancy once I took notice of the design and interior color which appeared so elegant! There was a variation of vibrant colors in the room from its curtains to the headboard of the king-size bed, the carpet, and a gold chair that looked like something out of your grandmother's house. Out of all, I just could not take my eyes off the curtains which reminded me of cherry blossoms because of the colors. Inside the bathroom there were liquid products by Gilchrist & Soames Zero% attached to the wall. Throughout my travels, I have noticed that hotels have completely dealt away with the mini shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner products that made great travel hygiene additions. Along with those notable things inside of the room, it met my cleanliness standards. I had no issues whatsoever getting comfortable in the king-sized bed during my stay as my head was engulfed in between the comfortable pillows. While utilizing the shower, I really enjoyed the water pressure; its soothing pressure made me feel very cleansed during each usage. It was wonderful toggling with the spray patterns, with the addictive feel of the pressure hitting my face and body. Other things the room came with that I noticed were a comforter, an iron, ironing board, blow dryer, safe, comforter, a coffee maker (Hamilton Beach), a mini refrigerator, microwave, and USB and AC plugins attached to either the headboard of the bed, lamps, or the television cabinet, which added a nice touch to the room. And the Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to and not once did I have any connectivity issues with it during my stay. Hampton Inn Majestic, as expected, had an exceptionally beautiful inner interior! As a fitness enthusiast, it was great having a fitness center onsite because it allowed me to keep up with my fitness routines during my stay. I must say that I was pleased to see several dumbbell weights, medicine balls, kettlebells, a decent selection of workout machines, and two peloton fitness bikes which charmed me out of my panties once I spotted them. And oh, honey did I enjoy it on my birthday with the lovely Hannah Frankson as my peloton instructor, who put my legs through torture during her low impact workout. Having the complimentary breakfast was a relief because I did not have to worry about finding a restaurant for breakfast in the morning. And I was highly satisfied with the quality of what was presented. It is served daily from 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM. For you all visiting the city of Chicago, there are plentiful sights, activities, and restaurants within a radius of Hampton Inn Majestic. As a resident, a few that I adore are Willis Tower, Millennium Park, and the Art Institute of Chicago! Next door is the CIBC Theatre, which I noticed upon my initial arrival at the hotel. And if you are looking to explore the city or outer part of the city, the Chicago Union Station, and CTA Train Station are very accessible to-and-from. I would surely book Hampton Inn Majestic Chicago Theatre District again due to my experience with it because the hotel met my comfort needs, and I loved that its location is within an accessible distance of things of interest in downtown Chicago. ~ Live every moment ~ Thomas G

The Langham is going down as one of my favorite hotels and arguably for sure top 5…read more The room was amazing and I was very impressed by the birthday set up my wife arranged with the hotel and a third party vendor. Our view was stunning and I loved I could see downtown and the river from our room. We booked the cinema suite for a cute movie night and I loved that. They had a cute popcorn station with candy and pop, plus you can order room service. The spa was amazing and the facilities were nice.

I've been to Miru many times and finally got to try out the hotel for a staycation…read more Pros: -I loved that they had two restaurant options in the hotel. Both have incredible views but I would definitely recommend having at least one meal on the Miru patio if you are there during nice weather. -I was most surprised by their massive gym and has stunning views. It's also open 24 hours. They offered Pilates classes as well for an extra fee. -the hotel is brand new and all the finishes are so high end. The rooms are clean and quiet. The hallways are huge and felt like a maze to navigate but it also added to feeling of privacy. -there were so many high end details that made it extra special (the cozy Frette bath robes, welcome drinks, treat box in the room upon arrival, and the accent lighting in the room). -the location. It's just across the river from the heart of Michigan ave on the north end of a residential development. You don't feel like you are in the middle of the chaos of the city but the park, lake front and river are footsteps away. Negatives: -view was underwhelming ( fourth floor river view . Might choose the park view next time. I'd also recommend not facing the river as there was lots of honking/noise. -the room layout was awkward. They have this huge desk between the bed and tv. The full length mirror is a down a long hallway from bathroom/ where you would be getting dressed. -the room service comes on these huge heavy trays. The staff seemed like they were straining under the weight of it/ it was awkward. -I'd probably skip the spa/massage -$90/ day parking. Was able to do a spothero for about $40 next door.

This hotel has it all from Pilates, to Barre to Yoga to their Athletic Club and Pool…read more The only complaint is that it's not bunched with the other hotels, its toward the end of Wacker next to the lake. So, walking from the Blackbawks shop when it's 20° isn't an easy task. Also, I wasn't able to try the Tre Dita since I didn't book a reservation in advance. Hopefully, I can schedule a reservation in the future. Plus, since it was mid-December, the St Regis had their third annual 12 Days of Sabrage, which guests of honor perform the evening ritual of champagne sabrage, which celebrates the transition from day to night. They offered complimentary toast of champagne and a Vosges Haut-Chocolate truffle. The hotel encouraged everyone to bring a new or lightly used winter clothing for children in need.
