Beautiful property! From the moment you walk in the aroma of rosemary and lemon give it a spa like atmosphere. Elegant furnishings, elegant lobby area, and fancy bistro just off the main lobby. Small, intimate feel to the entire place. high-end furnishings in the rooms. Dogs welcome too

My wedding was held at the beautiful LaBanque Hotel in Homewood, Illinois (2.22.20). It was an intimate affair held in the hotel foyer. I am so pleased with the accommodations and hospitality we received. Veronica is my SHERO! She is an excellent event manager --everything turned out beautifully!!! Meg, thank you for allowing us to move a few things around for our ceremony and your assistance. The staff was exceptional, and I loved every minute of my wedding. Also, the room we stayed in was gorgeous! I recommend La Banque--it was worth every penny!

Impeccable service, decor, food, location, amenities . I cannot say enough good things about this boutique hotel tucked away in a quaint little town. It is so nice. I only stayed one night but wish it was longer.

My favourite hotel on the South side! Warm and welcoming desk staff. They are genuinely happy to have you as a guest. The lobby is something out of a movie. The hotel used to be a bank. Hence the name. Rooms are in the small side but so well appointed you'd not notice. Super comfortable beds and well appointed bathrooms. Keurig and boxed water in the rooms. Generously sized bathrobes are provided. The rooms re quiet. Free breakfast is a nice treat. Fresh fruit, boiled eggs, yogurt, cheese, pastry are available. It's a super spread.

Ask the Community - La Banque Hotel

Are there ample parking and is it very safe and secured?

We have a very large lot on the North side of our building. The lot is on Chestnut St. and is directly across the street from the Village Hall, The Homewood Police Department and the Fire Department. It is well lit and very safe.… Read more

We could not find a hotel that had rates cheaper than $400 so we decided to stay outside of the busy area and just drive in the following day. This hotel was on our way and it was under $200 so we booked it. We arrived after 8pm and had our digital key already sent to us. That made it easy because there were not many places to eat and we wanted to drop everything off and go back out to grab some dinner. Our room was massive! It was a great room if I was working and hubs would be out on jobs. We were going to sit somewhere in the lobby and hang out before bed but it was extremely chaotic with trashy people so we decided to stay in our room for the evening. The bed was comfortable and so was the sofa. We had requested a late check out because we could not check in to our next hotel until 3pm and it was a short drive. We were given until 1pm, which was very generous. Breakfast sucked. Nothing was restocked. All the trashy people we encountered the previous night were multiplied in the morning. I was getting a headache from all the noise so I didn't want to wait longer than the 30 minutes we were already there for restocking. That was the one less star reason and also for a snickers ice cream bar I purchased for like $8 that tasted gross and freezer burnt. Even with that, I would stay here again.

Needless to say, after the occasion a few of us got too hammered to drive back home into the city so I checked out a room for the night here. EWW. Lemme say this: I'm rarely allergic to anything, in fact my body and senses are compatible with almost all elements (good & bad) our world has to offer (except for pork, lol). But I just couldn't stop sneezing and weezing all through the night here. I don't know if the sheets were not cleaned, or if they had a mold problem. I did see an itsy, bitsy dead roach in the hallway later that morning as i headed out for breakfast. The complimentary breakfast was the worst! Sausage, bacon, eggs. That's it. They have great biscuits here though! That's the only good thing I got outta this Hotel. THE BREAKFAST BISCUITS -- THEY'RE AMAZING, AND ACCOUNT FOR AN EXTRA STAR IN THE RATINGS! lol. I had an extra one to help soak up the liquor in me. The lady there wanted to charge me for the extra biscuit, and I told her that I didn't have any of that sausage/pork stuff, so I was making up for it with the biscuit -- she looked at me like I was speaking polish. When I started to reach for my wallet to pay for the DAMN BISCUIT, she decided to comp it for me. yeah...you made my day, lady! *thumbs up*. Speaking of the staff.....staff was lukewarm, blah personality. Hotel decor was still stuck in 1985. I woulda had a better night sleeping in my car in the Hotel parking lot, and put that $85bucks per night to better use. whoa....

The only feedback I really have are the bathrooms not being maintained frequently and the strong smell of pot all around, which not much they can do on that one. I gave it a 4 stars because my last visit, one of the staff members at their Starbucks was a little unwelcoming. I know it was close to their closing time, but the way my order was taken made me feel like I was an inconvenience to her. The rest of the staff there was nice. I mainly go for slots, so I haven't dined at any of their outlets nor have I interacted with the dealers, but just from observing, majority of the staff seems nice and inviting. I don't rate this off any winnings or losses, just overall ambiance and interactions.

At one food Bar they had turkey and ham but no kind of potato or Vegetable are you freaking kidding me. The desserts were awful. And to top it off, the coffee was horrible. They didn't even have half and half or cream it was powdered cream I never even had a waitress come by. When I got up to get more food my dirty plates was still sitting there when I got back . And to tell you the truth, I was still hungry when I left that place. Never again. !!! I've been to better casinos with better service!!!
