We came here to pick up a U-Haul not knowing we would be walking into such an awesome little store! It's great here! There is a cool vibe and good selection of alcohol(if you're a drinker). I don't drink but I did notice the selection was great. The soda selection was also pretty cool and they had a good selection of Mexican chips and snacks.(Sabritas). Overall such a cool little store that also has gas pumps, how cool is that? The cashiers and the guy working u haul was also pretty cool. Very nice store, I loved it! I made a purchase at this NOT fabulous market this morning and asked to use the restroom. The owner/rep denied the request and said it was employee only. I am a 62 YO woman who was not a threat in any way and was more than presentable but had to use the bathroom. Denied. I did not go into the store, but am sure the gas station's ripping people off at the pump. This morning I got gas here and despite choosing unleaded at $4.57, I did the math and with the 7 gallons I pumped, I was charged the highest rate of $4.97. I'd heard of gas stations doing this but never experienced it - or maybe I just hadn't paid attention. I'm unsure if I got different quality gas for the charge of better or if it's all the same, but either way, it's false advertising/lying. read more

Either through utter incompetence or outright thievery, this uHaul location shorted me three furniture pads when I picked up my rental truck. This is a tiny spot a few miles away from the San Diego airport where you can get cheaper gas. It's a bit strange since it's located in a residential area, and the pumps seemed like they could use some renovating. However, they were closed on Christmas Day (including the pumps), so we weren't able to get gas here. read more

The afternoon employee has been rude to us on 3 occasions. We were willing to give him a chance but enough is enough! Simple questions seem to bother him and sometimes there is a back up at the counter while he is on his phone. I am new to the hood and was feeling a bit dismayed when it came to morning coffee options. I mean obvi I could walk up towards Balboa park and get something or down towards Little Italy but I like my doggy walks with a coffee in hand. I headed to Cloverleaf to grab some smokes and quarters for the dreaded community laundry room one night and I found a hot coffee bar..!! Better than 7-11's even!! (and I love 7-E coffee..!) Somewhere in the back of my long memory the name "cloverleaf" holds a good memory. I think that maybe there was a dairy with that name either in Seattle or San Francisco and since I love to drink milk-I have a subconscious positive predilection. No matter-this is a nice clean little neighborhood market. It is neat and tidy and is a good replacement for that previous 7-11 that was always getting robbed. I am glad they are getting their beer and wine license but I like it for just running in for a bag of Sun Chips and Snapple. It's true that the employees are cordial and friendly but the Mission Hills area is already mellow. I am so glad that Cloverleaf Market opened up here! read more

Well it's a convenience store, so you can't expect a lot. It's hard to compare fantastic 5 star service somewhere else and then get on here and review your local gas station, but it seems unfair to give anything less than 5 stars. Compared to other local gas stations, you can't go wrong. If you live close enough, it's a quick trip to grab a cold water when you realize all you have left are warm ones (wtf!?). :) They also have gas now which has saved me considerable time when I've left home and realized I forgot to fill up the afternoon before. The guy who I've seen every time I have been there has always been friendly (but looks tough enough to work at a gas station). I actually really dig the place. Gas is decently priced, Beer is fairly priced and the people that work here are awesome. Wine is a little expensive, but you could spend the same amount of money in gas by driving to a grocery store. read more

What astounds me the most is that the gas pumps were just put in a few months ago and everytime i check, they are within 15 cents of costco gas prices. Throw in some fantastic 16 oz, $.99 Mountain Dew cans, and you have a one stop shop to getting the fuel needed for the car and the body. Always clean and convenient. read more

I love having this market right down the road from my house. The selection of beers is great, but they don't sell hard liquor. The customer service here is also very good, and they usually let you slide if you need an extra 5 cents. It is such a great thing, to have a market and gas station in this part of town. The staff is friendly. Even though prices are definitely higher, it is worth it many times for the convenience of not having to drive to Vons, find parking, and wait in big lines. Before I was overcharged and had the worst customer service experience of my life from a gentleman that drives an old gold Ford Focus, this was my go to liquor store. I was here at least 6 days a week spending anywhere from 5-10$ every visit, and used to love the people that worked here. If it wasn't for this guy over charging me, arguing with me, leaving me on hold for 10 minutes, saying he voided my transaction having corrected the issue, then lied when nothing was done, I would still be going to this store. As a customer who spends a few thousands dollars a year at this specific location and being treated with utter disrespect I will take my business elsewhere. STAY AWAY if you see a gold car, he is not the person you want helping you, and be sure to get a receipt. Note to employee: Trying to convince me 'it wasn't that much money;' and 'not a big deal, 'is not the way you handle situations like this. You could have prevented this if you knew how to treat people with respect and not talk over them, and lie. read more
