I definitely underestimated this pool! For some reason I expected it to be super crowded and crammed, but it was actually the opposite, there was a good amount of people and it was a very large pool where you had enough space in the recreation area. The amount of lanes were you able to get your lane if you wanted to do laps. Had multiple lifeguards onduty on top of safety and the place was clean. I will say the bathrooms could've been better, but overall the rest is really good. They had pool toys for you to use and my son really loved the water basketball hoop. It was also pretty neat that you can bring your own food or order your food for delivery. Four dollars per person is a great price! They also have summer movie nights and Sunday evenings with the inflatable pool jumper which I thought was pretty cool. Definitely plan to come back . read more

Wonderful and clean facility! When the swimming pool at my gym was out of commission, I needed to look for an alternative as swimming is part of my weekly workout routine. The pool has 6 lanes, with increasing depth along the pool. The outer left lanes are very shallow and are mostly used for kids' swimming classes. The outer right lanes are 5 feet deep and are wide enough for comfortable swimming laps. The swimming pool is kept very clean and heated all year round. There is a lifeguard on duty and a small outdoor changing area. As for parking, there are ample parking spaces within the CLU school campus. The lanes fill up fast, and the best way to book them is through the conejo valley recreation website. Booking a single lane for an hour costs $4, which is a very affordable option to use such a nice facility. read more

I swim laps when I can. We bring our grandkids when they're visiting and the logistical and mood stars align. It's a great place for kids. They have swim toys at the pool. The staff are terrific, friendly, and helpful when needed. read more

My family & I have been going to this community pool for the last 4 years. I found them on Yelp & also through the Conejo Recreation & Parks District site. They used to charge $2/person per visit. About 1 year ago it went up to $3/person per visit, which is still a great price. Typically they have 2-4 life guards on duty & are very good at enforcing rules for everyone's protection. I love how the pool is always clean. There are plenty of lounge chairs, tables & benches. They can get busy during the weekends at the height of summer, but do not let that deter you from coming here to cool off. Everyone is welcome to bring snacks, drinks, & pool toys. You should come prepared & a beach bag, have a towel (or 2), sunscreen, sunglasses, flip flops & extra clothes to change in. The life guards are great! They take their jobs seriously & enforce the rules with both kids & adults (mostly the kids). To make sure everyone has fun they divide the pool up so that the kids can play in one section while others, who are serious swimmers can swim laps. There are vending machines towards the back, next to the bathrooms & benches, so if you forgot to bring snacks, you won't starve. I highly recommend you check this pool out, especially if you don't have a pool of your own. It's definitely cheaper than maintaining a pool yourself! read more

$2 for drop in swim, that's the cheapest I've seen anywhere. Now that it's winter, it's too cold to swim outdoors but this place would be great in spring, summer & autumn! :) The drawback is only 2 bathroom stalls to use to change into/out of your swim suit. The showers are outdoors next to the pool, 2 changing stalls located outside by pool deck too. They have cloth screens covering the stalls. One lifeguard on duty. read more

All of my kids have learned to swim through the parks and rec aquatics program at CLU and TO high pool. The staff is always professional and friendly and incredibly helpful. My kids had a great time and learned to swim in a reasonable period of time. This is a nice community pool. $2 gets you in, $1 if you are a CLU student. It's a hit and miss on the crowds. There is always four life guards on duty at all times, each posted on all four sides of the pool. One of the pool has two swim lanes. The middle of the pool is the "jump zone", no diving. The other side of the pool is usually reserved for the little kids. The pool at its deepest point is 5 feet. There are dozen or so reclined chairs and tables with umbrellas. They also have a covered patio with several benches. This is nice place to eat your lunch. Over all, nice pool and a great way to spend time with the family. read more

-4.5 stars- Really nice pool with an extremely friendly staff. The entrance fee is a reasonable $2.00 and only $1.00 for current CLU students. There is never more than two people per lane, and sometimes you even get your own lane, which is unheard of for most public pools. I swim here year round and have always found the water to be clean and the temperature perfect for lap swimming. They would have earned 5 stars if it wasn't for their lack of indoor showers and decent size locker room. However, you are allowed the use of the main CLU locker room, which is about 30 yards away, so this is not a huge deal. Overall I am a fan of this facility and really enjoy swimming here. Whatever you do, unless you're strong and can hoist yourself up onto the side of the pool without using a ladder, don't reserve a lane at the "Big Pool." (There are two pool options to choose from when reserving online - the Samuelson Acquatics Center pool, otherwise known as the Big Pool, and the Community Center Pool, the smaller pool adjacent to it.) This was my first time coming here, and the only lanes with ladders are located in lane 1 and lane 20 at the far ends of the pool. Once I got into the pool, I realized I couldn't actually get out of it without hoisting myself up onto the side by sitting on one of the lane dividers, which was awkward, to say the least. I will definitely be reserving a lane at the Community Pool next time, which looked much more doable. Other than that, it looked beautiful and clean. read more

Its a nice pool especially since its pretty new. The pool deck and general facility are really nice. The pool is a little too salty. My only real complaint is adequate changing area. I didn't say locker room but that would be nice. If you change in the rest room be prepared to have a towel because there is only one door and no angles so if the restroom door open, hello naked swimmer for the whole pool deck to see. Poor planning on that one! Otherwise a nice pool with a super cheap admission $2 and they have a semester pass. read more

Hours for lap swimming on weekends have been reduced, which was disappointing to me. I used to swim there after church Sundays, around 1pm. Now they are no longer open for lap swimming at that time. Showers are outside, so you can't shower nude. Inside locker area is tiny and cramped. Outside dressing room curtains are not really adequate--they blow around in the afternoon. I used to use the bench, the rubber strap from my goggles, and sometimes hairbands to put over the rings that go over the side hooks to keep the curtain in place. Otherwise, it was likely to blow open. Lap swimming right next to rec swimmers was sometimes harrowing when rec swimmers would be throwing their water footballs right next to my head--maybe that is why lap hours were reduced. Too bad. I took an adult stroke improvement class which helped me a lot, but it was pricey. Masters Swimming is offered, but is very expensive. No cut in fees offered for someone who only participates in Master Swim once or twice a week. A one-day lap swim is only $2, however. I wish they would expand their lap swim hours on Sundays. read more
