I started swimming here a month ago and so happy I found this community pool. Everyone who works here is so nice and polite. I've also made really good friends with the other swimmers. You have to reserve your lane. Once reserved, you have the lane to yourself for an hour. Perfect fitness while the gyms are closed. Thank CLU

All of my kids have learned to swim through the parks and rec aquatics program at CLU and TO high pool. The staff is always professional and friendly and incredibly helpful. My kids had a great time and learned to swim in a reasonable period of time. Additionally, we swim there sometimes during the community pool hours and it always clean, with attentive lifeguards, and a nice place to take the family.

This is a nice community pool. $2 gets you in, $1 if you are a CLU student. It's a hit and miss on the crowds. There is always four life guards on duty at all times, each posted on all four sides of the pool. One of the pool has two swim lanes. The middle of the pool is the "jump zone", no diving. The other side of the pool is usually reserved for the little kids. The pool at its deepest point is 5 feet. There are dozen or so reclined chairs and tables with umbrellas. They also have a covered patio with several benches. This is nice place to eat your lunch. Over all, nice pool and a great way to spend time with the family.

My sons take swim classes here through CRPD, and I can't say enough nice things.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but the swim skills my daughter learned was beyond expectations. The toddlers learned skills like what to do if the fall in and to take a breath before going under water. Then there were more emerging skills like paddling and kicking. Overall, the main goal is to get them comfortable in the water. My daughter loves the school so much that we had her birthday party there as well. Once again, the staff and life guards did not disappoint! We're thinking of having her birthday there again!

Completely unethical and unprofessional!…read more Tarrik Daou is the executive director of the Lucile Cowle Swim School (now the Daland Swim School). This man has no conscience, no ethical compass, and does business dirty to make a profit. He is unhinged, condescending, and worships money over service, professionalism, and honesty. My child is autistic and is a Regional Center client. Lucile Cowle, also under Daland Swim School, said that they would create an account with a 3rd party payer so that they could be directly paid by the 3rd party vendor with the Lanterman Regional Center. I started communicating with Lucile Cowle Swim School on March 5, 2025. It is now July 2026 (16 months later), and I have finally been reimbursed after countless calls and emails. The only way that I was paid for adaptive swim lessons was to bypass LC completely, and Aveanna 3rd-party payers conducted a full investigation to unpack their numerous lies. Dealing with this unethical company was so traumatic and all-consuming. Aveanna had to create an internal memo to no longer deal with this company because they would often refuse to respond, say they already did without turning in the necessary paperwork, and they never responded to the Lanterman Regional Center. My Lanterman Regional Center worker constantly reached out to LC/Daland Swim School, and their statements about when they responded do not align with any of the paper trail. They have made it difficult at every turn. Read my reviews. I never posted a single negative review of a business before today. Since I am the child of people who survived on a small business, I understand that it is impossible to please everyone and don't want to damage a small business in a difficult economy for an off day. However, this took 16 months of my time, and the executive director, Tarrik Daou was so nasty, condescending, and more fearful of not covering his bases when too many outside parties (not me) came with financial questions than actually providing honest, reputable service or transparent, ethical accounting. I have a long paper trail that can back up every claim I have been as opposed to Lucile Cowle, who can't keep records or even finish setting up a business account for 8 months. This is step 1 of any financial accounting. I just can't in any good conscience recommend this awful institution or Tarrik's narcissistic personality as someone you want to deal with. Please. There are other reputable swim schools who won't lie to you. I don't call people liars easily; in fact, I literally never have before in any business review. I had to come up with a long paper trail and unravel his lies because he's such an expert gaslighter; you want to double and triple-check facts to make sure the accounting is done correctly. Please take your business elsewhere. There are swim schools that actually care about your kids, not just the money that comes with it. If your child has any special needs, please stay away. Being a special-needs parent who must advocate for your child's special needs is hard; why add to your load by constantly having to unravel one vendor's outright lies? Your time is precious, and your child can become an agile swimmer at a swim school that loves children and not just sees an opportunity to financially exploit you.

My almost 5 year old son has a slight fear of getting his face wet and had previously attended 3…read moresessions at crpd last summer. He did not learn or retain much from those sessions, between his fear of putting his face in the water, inability to keep warm (a neoprene shorty was still too cold in the summer) and short attention span. When I signed up for Connect the dots l picked lessons at midday to ensure it was warm enough for him. The main difference I noticed was that lessons were very focused. There were learning goals to be met each day, and most of the time it was exciting and fun but sometimes the kids reach an area outside of their comfort zone and the teachers at connect the dots don't back off. They firmly but gently keep working on it. That's why these 1-on-1 lessons cost more. My son had McKenna, the new lady teacher and he did well. Not a tear in the end but of course, if we don't keep practicing he will forget what he learned. Other things that will help your child to maximize learning at these lessons (not requirement but helps) -Sufficient upper body strength to push/lift themselves out of edge of pool -Able to understand/follow instruction in English -Able to handle being in and out of water in outdoor environment for 25 mins (my son needed neoprene suit and midday lessons) -Ability to coordinate limbs I watched a 6 year old learn to thread water, and swim the length of the pool (12 feet?) and he came in with some fear of water like my son.

What a wonderful swimming class! It was worth every penny, and worth taking the time. My son is a…read moreconfident swimmer, and is ready to take on this summer! I would recommend this place to everybody.
