Our waitress was very attentive and we were started with a relish tray. It was skimpy compared to what you use to get at supper clubs but appreciated as a comp. We received our meals with a comp loaf of bread. I'm GF so passed on the bread. My husband said it was average and appreciated. He had the prim rib and I had a tenderloin steak with mushrooms and garlic mashed potatoes which the first couple of bites in the end was chewy but as I moved to the next bites it was very tender. I enjoyed the Hungarian mushroom soup and my husband enjoyed his clam chowder. We were too full for dessert and I took 1/2 of my meal home to enjoy for lunch the next day. We watched two other tables be seated after us and order and get their drinks before anyone had even stopped by or acknowledged us. While we were waiting my wife went to the restroom and while washing her hands she noticed that there were too large containers of hand soap, both were completely empty. This was a bit alarming considering every server seemed to be female, but one. This made us feel like maybe they weren't properly washing their hands but we don't know that for sure so I'll go on. The waitress finally came to our table after 15 minutes or so and took our drink order along with our food order as we had plenty of time to decide. I ordered Pilsner on tap to drink, only to have her come back 10-minutes later and me that they were out. Okay no biggie, I'll get something else. Our food finally arrived and my wife had ordered a loaded baked potato without sour cream. We immediately noticed her baked potato was completely smothered with sour cream. In addition, she found a nice strand of hair in her food. Lovely.... We both had the Jagerschnitzel as both of us had had it several times before. The Jagerschnitzel did not taste right and my wife said her water tasted like it came out of a hose. Our inattentive waitress (brown hair with glasses BTW) was by far the worst server we've ever had here. All other tables seemed to be served before us, checked on regularly, and have much better wait staff than we had. Upon asking for our bill we assumed she would at least notice the big glob of sour cream on the plate that my wife had to scrape off and realize that she had forgot to tell them not to include it, but no. We paid our bill and ran for the door. As far as the ambiance goes, the restaurant is really nice but we had flies around us as we were trying to eat our meal. Not exactly the upscale experience you would hope for. Based on our other two visits I would say this is not typical but I feel we need to give this review because someone needs to know how terrible our experience was there today, 7/11/26.

There's a lovely patio if the weather is nice. Things that I love about the Bierstube: *Moscow Mules available - properly served in copper mugs. Hell yes! *Great burgers. I've only ever had warm, pleasant service here. *Great fried cheese curds *Old timey slot machine that actually pays out quarters FYI - the Bierstube gets quite popular with boaters and vacationers so it might take a little time to get through a meal if you arrive after big groups. Also - the people watching is great. I saw a group of 8 middle aged peeps order giant Slippery Nipples (Baileys + Butterscotch Schnapps = baaarrrrff) and drink 'em down quite happily.
