Play allows her to enjoy some quality human and fellow pup time while I'm working long days. I bring home a happy and thoroughly worn-out furbaby every time. Indoor and outdoor space with plenty of shade in the summer, cover in the rain, and heaters in the winter means that pups are comfortable no matter the elements. The staff here are incredible. They get to know you and your dog to a level I've never experienced at a dog daycare. You are part of a family rather than a business, and that's a beautiful thing. I cannot recommend them enough and my dog and I feel blessed to be part of the pack!

They are incredibly flexible with changes, and with a little notice will accommodate all your daycare needs. I feel that a good test of whether a dog is happy, is if you pick them up after boarding, and return just a couple days later for daycare. If the pup nearly rips your arm off, in his eagerness to get back in there, I think you have a winner.

Basically, nobody was at the front desk for 30 minutes and we were waiting to get helped. We decided to give them the benefit of doubt and try them a second time by boarding them for a day. Unfortunately, we were not told about an extra charge when we picked them up. Jake was the one who helped us upon pick up and I have to say - he has the worst customer service skills and I don't think we'll be returning. Communication skills are lacking within the team along with customer service skills.

Classes are so expensive. $275. For 5 classes of nose work (not private but with up to 8 people…read moreand their dogs taking turns in the training room one at a time). So approx. 15 mins instruction and training per dog. Class is 1.5 hrs. My roommate paid for the series of classes.. and unplanned she ended up in the hospital Emergency Room and had to have emergency orthopedic surgery. She texted and left a VM that she wouldn't be attending the classes the night before class started and asked to Be refunded the $275. They told her said NO to a refund.Too bad if you have an emergency. Our class isn't full and we couldn't fill the spot. But we will let you pay another $137.50 to sign up for another series in the future. So they kept the initial $275. And my roomie paid another 137.50 to be able to take said classes once she's all healed up and can walk again. They gave her a credit of 137.50 if she signed up to take the classes again. If she didn't there is no refund!! So that is 412.50 for 5 classes at approx 15min of ins time each week. So that ends up being a hour and 1/2 of instruction for 412.50. Holy Crap!! A huge rip off and absolutely crap business management for Dogs day out. Ok and my roomie has worked in the dog business in W Seattle for over 30 yrs and has referred dozens of dogs to this establishment over this years. She is going to take the classes that she paid 412.50 for so she isn't out the full amount she paid. But what a huge crock of doo doo. A poor business rule and my god she had to have emergency surgery. I know for a fact she will never refer another client to them or ever return to Dogs Day out for any classes herself. If I were her I'd also let my dog clients who she's referred to this biz about this if it comes up in convo. About this practise. Whatever happened to professional courtesy between biz owners in the same dog world. Or compassion when they end up having emergency surgery. I for one am really floored by this experience my roomie is going through!!!

Dog parks allow Henry to release a much different kind of energy just than walking. Amanda places dogs in "packs" based on size, energy level, and play style. He loves getting to see his dog friends once a week. Amanda also accommodates our ever changing schedules and if a work meeting occurs during pick up she will come into our apartment and get Henry! Henry gallops to her and squeaks with excitement every time she sees her letting me know he is so excited for his weekly adventure. The pups are out for 4-5 hours each time and extremely tired when they get back. This service has been a game changer for us.

Several times after attending daycare, my dog came home with issues that later turned into infections. Each time required a vet visit that cost us over $600. While I understand that things can happen in group-care environments, having this happen several times was alarming. What ultimately made the decision for us, though, was the staff interaction. On one pickup, an older woman who helped me was shockingly rude. When she brought my dog out, she handled him in a way that made me extremely uncomfortable: raising her voice, tugging harshly on his collar, and giving commands he was never trained to understand. Watching him shrink back and look terrified broke my heart. Over time, he began coming home withdrawn, low-energy, sick and just not his happy self. Almost every visit left us feeling uneasy, and it eventually became clear that this environment simply wasn't right for him or any dog. A former staff member who later met my partner even shared that the workplace was full of animosity and overworked employees, which unfortunately aligned with what we had observed. We've since switched to Rover as needed and have had a completely different experience: much happier dog, much better communication, and far less stress for everyone involved. There are countless options here in Seattle! I truly wish our experience at Metro Dog had been better, but for us it was consistently unpleasant. If you value your dog's comfort and emotional wellbeing, I'd recommend exploring other options.

Every time I call Metro Dog they can find space for him in their day or overnight. Our boy is a big spaz. They have shared with us their strategies that keep him from going over the crazy line (30 minutes of play then Quiet kennel time). They also reinforce the good manners we are working hard to reinforce. Does it smell like a kennel. Yes. Is it loud. Yes. Is this life in the city? I think so. Thanks Metro dog!

That is uncommon, 1st class service! Both Sophie and Ashley were pleasant and acknowledged my dog and I asking how could they help. My dogs have received training and grooming at competitive prices. Sara is a gem! On short notice, I was fortunate to have Cooper's nails cut. He doesn't get nervous anymore. Sara has a way with him. I'm grateful to everyone there because they genuinely love dogs and are devoted to caring for our beloved pets. Kudos.

Sabrina is a star, she is smart, attentive, and quick to respond. They all go out of their way to care for my pup, and I feel like they care for him like their own. I have seen some turnover of really great staff over the years, I hope management works hard to keep great staff, because I know retention of these great workers equates to my dog getting great, safe, happy care!
