We had a great meal at 4 Leoni. What stood out was the spaghetti vongole. The server was great! We had reservations yet were greeted with a chilly demeanor. Overall a nice meal.

This was a meal that set the bar REALLY high in Florence. The bistecca was outstanding, the boar ragu was tasty, the dessert was creamy and sweet. The wine was delicious. You need a reservation, its in a local little square, its definitely worth it!

My daughter told me that if I'm ever in Florence, I would certainly have to try this restaurant. We are in Florence so we thought we would give it a try. I'm so glad we did! We started off with the house salad , which was a nice mix of greens, carrots, radishes, and tomatoes and leeks. Italian vegetables just taste better, mostly because they only serve what's in season . Olive oil and balsamic vinegar dressing. Very tasty. I ordered the house specialty , which is a pear ravioli. I can't describe it because it is so uniquely delicious! My wife had a flat pasta ragu (meat sauce) and it too is wonderful. Just absolutely delicious. For dessert, we had The in house made cheesecake with chocolate sauce. I've had cheesecake from all over and this one was as good as and I've ever had. Reasonable pricing and first class service too! It was soo good we may go back again tonight! Bravo

We heard the cheesecake was amazing and it was. Unfortunately the server was very snarky and rude. He told our table that we had to order mains not just appetizers and deserts! If I had not already drank water I would have walked out! The gazpacho was good, but the bruschetta needed salt. We ate outside and it was pleasant.

Delicious!!' The pecorino sampler was my fav. I loved the fresh pecorino. We also had both artichokes and they were delicious. The pasta - my signature - was good but served a bit cold! Easy to make a reservation here.

We had an amazing meal with outstanding service from Rosella. If you go, you must try the pear fiochetti. Cozy romantic decor. Great house Chianti.

This is a great restaurant. It was recommended by my mom that came to Florence years ago. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. A great Italian vibe that made the dining experience even better. They are known for with pear stuffed pasta. Nice and delicate with this pear and cheese filling. Portions are decent and so sharing is highly recommended as then you can try many dishes.

Awesome place but make sure you have a reservation as they are a favorite for locals and tourists. The food is some of the best in Florence -I went for my 30th and 32nd birthday to this restaurant. The atmosphere is pleasant and feels like a "locals place". Minestrone soup is some of the best I've ever had! Can't recommend it enough or oversell it.

Why 4 stars? Because the pear pasta was the star of the show. --- --- --- My mother-in-law is a very picky eater, but loves Italy. When she knew we were going to Florence, she insisted that we had to visit 4 Leoni. Because I've witnessed her pickiness up close and personal for many meals, I didn't exactly hold her recommendation in the highest regard. Maybe I should have though? She almost hates all food, but loves this, so maybe they are onto something here? She loved the pear pasta and so does my wife, so that was the primary reason we visited. And I have to say, the MIL was correct. This was one of the best dishes we had during our two days in Florence. Don't come here without ordering this! I was also really excited to try the Octopus, but was a disappointed in how it was prepared. It was cooked in breading, which ended up tasting decently enough but I didn't understand why Octopus would need bread crumbs when it's so great without that. We also ordered the ragu, which I felt was fine, but my wife was in heaven while eating it. It may just be more due to the fact that this isn't my kind of dish in general. And then we finished with tiramisu, which was excellent. The service was not very attentive, nor particularly friendly, but if that's the price to pay for this pear pasta, it's absolutely worth it.

Told by friends to come here. Did not disappoint. Excellent pasta and sides. Pleasant staff and service.

4 Leoni is situated on a lovely square in Florence and the atmosphere alone is captivating, especially with the hopping Gelateria across the way. The salad had all the elements I love but lacked cohesion. The cheese and pesto were strong but without an adequate ratio of dressing to fixings, it felt like a half baked idea.

We ordered the 2.6 lb dry aged Florentine steak and gnocchi. The Florentine steak is a must try steak here. It was very juicy, tender, and it was bursting with flavor. The meat was nice and chewy. The steak was gigantic and it is bigger than my head. They first bring out the raw steak and weight it in front of you. The steak is enough to share for three people. The gnocchi was also very delicious. It was cheesy and rich. It was also in a way creamy and the cheese just melted in your mouth. One of the best things I've ever put in my mouth and eaten. The cheesecake is very famous in this restaurant. We tried it and understand why. The cheesecake was super creamy and soft. I had a great time and experience here. Definitely will be back sometime soon hopefully. This is a place I highly recommend to everyone. Come and try it out for yourselves.

He was awesome and had us laughing the entire night. We peppered him with a lot of questions about the menu, he answered everything and also accommodated my father-in-law, who is GF. He had his own GF bread basket and was able to order almost anything on the menu. We ordered a nice bottle of Montepulciano red for the table that was $48. Others had the Hugo spritz. For app I had the anchovies with roasted red pepper, sea salt and oil over grilled crostini, very good. I skipped first course and ordered the ribeye steak for my main course. Bone in, medium rare, sprinkled with sea salt and a side of onion marmalade. The steak was very good and had way less fat than I expected. The waiter suggested a huge steak for the table, but I was the only one ordering steak that night. Maybe next time. Others ordered the fillet and it was cooked perfectly, the angels and demons gnocchi, and the veal scallopini. Everybody was pleased Really cool spot with a very good wine selection, drinks, excellent food and a fun atmosphere that you don't find at many places. Nugo was an A+ server.

The staff was knowledgeable on all the different meats and cheeses available and were able to make recommendations based on what you prefer. It is very cool to see the different meat hanging from the ceiling in addition to the wine bottles and the cool ambience that they created in the small location. There are a handful of seats available and then there's even a back room with a few more tables to accommodate a few more people. From a price point perspective, it wasn't too bad, especially if you're swinging in for a snack and a quick glass of wine or a beer.

The atmosphere alone is worth a visit, but the food is what truly makes it exceptional. We ordered the ravioli, pappardelle with wild boar ragù, the Florentine steak, a mixed salad, affogato, and fresh strawberries with mascarpone cream. To drink, we shared a small carafe of red wine and a Pinot Grigio. Everything was spectacular. The Florentine steak was easily the best--and largest--I have ever had. Perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and remarkably tender, it was the highlight of an already outstanding meal. The pappardelle with boar ragù was rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying, while the ravioli was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Every dish felt authentic, carefully executed, and memorable. The wine was another pleasant surprise. Both selections were excellent and very reasonably priced, making the meal feel like an even better value. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful. He patiently answered questions, explained the menu, and guided us toward some fantastic choices. Although we thought we were too full for dessert, we're very glad we changed our minds. The affogato was fantastic, and the strawberries with mascarpone cream were absolutely delicious. One of the highlights of the evening was watching our four-year-old happily clutching two spoons and enthusiastically scooping fresh strawberries and mascarpone into his mouth. It was one of those memorable family travel moments that you don't forget. A terrific meal, a unique historic setting, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. This was one of our favorite dining experiences in Florence, and I highly recommend it.

Were ordered a bottle of Chianti Classico to start, as well as a few pastas plus the steak and cod. I can safely say the spaghetti pomodoro with burrata was the best pasta dish I've had in Italy - the pasta was perfectly cooked and the cherry tomatoes was so sweet, the kind of thing that reminds you why you came to Italy in the first place.
