Club Pilates keeps me sane and fit all in one quick 45 minute session! I was an avid member of the Club Pilates in Chapel Hill North Carolina and had taken over 1000 classes and loved every minute of it. I was not sure what to expect when I transitioned to a new club upon moving to Chicago. Club Pilates River North has been fantastic and I have enjoyed meeting all of the instructors and each of the new classes that I've been taking there. I've been a Club Pilates member since October and overall, I really love it! Pilates has truly changed my life - I feel so much stronger and more confident in my body. The studio is clean and spacious, the location is super convenient, and the front desk staff is always kind and welcoming. Classes are generally good, but I do miss a few instructors who switched to other locations - their classes really stood out. If you have an unlimited membership and don't mind traveling, that helps. If not, it can be a problem. Overall, I'd rate this studio a 7/10 - mainly because of those instructors being gone - but I'm still very happy to be part of it! read more

I have been doing reformer pilates for ~2 years with CP after finding myself in a fitness rut due to injury. CP stood out to me from other reformer studios as they offer a variety of classes that include not only the reformer, but also include other equipment like the springboard, TRX, EXO chair, mat, ball, magic circle, etc. The classes certainly are not cheap but I find that I personally need the financial commitment (& cancellation penalty) to help me stay disciplined. read more

I've been coming here for a few months now and absolutely love it! I started with a 4 class/month membership and quickly upgraded to unlimited. I have never taken the same class twice, and I love how many different ways there are to use the equipment. Been a member since January and have already completed over 100 classes! The instructors are incredibly nice and knowledgeable, the desk staff is always helpful and the facility is very clean. My absolute favorite pilates studio!! It's so challenging but not in a way that'll make you feel bad about yourself. The instructors do an amazing job teaching you proper form and work with you if you're confused or struggling. My two personal favorite instructors are Jess and Adanna. They challenge but are so encouraging. My body has literally changed since I started taking their classes. I go at 6am and it's my favorite way to start my day. read more

I have been to a couple of club pilates studios since I've started and hands down, this location is the best! It's clean, can fit in more reformers in the space, and the instructors are awesome. Club Pilates is amazing! I have been going to the River North location for almost a year and a half now since they opened and I now refer to it as my "happy place". I have never been into working out, but now I try to go there at least 4 times a week! Pilates is such a great workout for any age, any body type and the staff there is extremely welcoming and accommodating. I have noticed over time that I have become stronger, have better posture, and overall have more energy. Special shoutout to my favorite instructors Jenna and Alison! They are both SO passionate about what they do, it is infectious. It is great going to classes where they know my name and greet me each and every time. It makes a HUGE difference for me because it feels more personal. They also both have great senses of humor and put together amazing flows for the reformer classes. Each class is very unique and different, but I can always tell each time it is well designed by the instructor. I also want to give kudos to the studio manager, Chelsea, who also truly cares about the Club Pilates members and personally reaches out to get to know the clients and assist them. Overview: I started Club Pilates towards the beginning of this summer. Still having issues from a previous injury/surgery and experiencing another injury this year, I was looking for a place that would offer a low-impact workout that was still a challenge and that would hopefully help me recover from my injuries. I have not gone to other reformer Pilates studios, so I can not speak on how this company compares to others, but I have LOVED coming here. In fact, it is one of my top "self-care" activities that makes me feel physically and mentally better. I love that you can easily take classes at your own pace or make adjustments when needed and the instructors are helpful in finding modifications for injuries or other issues you may experience. While my injuries have not gone away, Pilates has helped build the muscles around my tendons and joints so I am more mobile. It has also helped reduce the pain associated with the injuries. The locations I have been to are also very clean and organized and have adhered to Covid guidelines, such as mask wearing, wiping down equipment used after every session (this is in general, not just for Covid), etc. Memberships: I love that Club Pilates has several membership and drop-in options to fit various schedules and expectations. Because the company has national locations, you also have the option to purchase the national option, allowing you to go to nearly any club pilates location for the set monthly fee. I originally opted for the unlimited session for one studio, which is actually for 5 studios, because this location has the same owner as several other Chicago locations. Since then I have had to change my membership a couple of times due to being out of the country and other scheduling constraints. That said, every time, the staff was very accommodating in helping me change it. It is very easy to book on the app and you can cancel up to 12 hours before the session without a penalty, making it a flexible solution if your availability changes. They also have a "wait list" option, which is nice because people often cancel, so you can be bumped up to attend. Class options: I appreciate that there are multiple levels (1,1.5,2) for progressing your practice, and they offer certain fusion and other classes such as one focused on stretching, cardio and bar fusion. They also have classes in the mornings and evenings and have different schedules daily to fit a variety of schedules. They also offer "on-demand" classes for those who prefer to do floor Pilates away from a studio. Finally, during warmer weather months certain studios, have outdoor class options, which are a lot of fun and are a nice change of pace/scenery. Front Office Staff: At all of the locations in Chicago that I have been to, all of the staff members have been extremely friendly and helpful. They worked with me when I needed to change my "home" location and membership types. They also regularly check-in with you (if you want) via text messaging to see if you need anything and to ensure you are happy with your membership. It is very easy to contact them either in person or via text message when you need assistance or have a question and they are always quick to respond. Teachers: All of the teachers whom I have taken classes with are extremely professional and seem very knowledgeable. Some even work in physical therapy, which is particularly helpful for people with injuries. As mentioned previously, they are always willing to provide assistance, whether that means helping correct your form to ensure you perform moves safely, providing modifications for injuries or if a particular exercise is too hard, etc. They are also open to feedback and requests. Particularly with the stretching class, they usually ask individuals if there is anything they would like to focus on. All that said, based on my experience and goals, I highly recommend Club Pilates and this studio (or any of the 5 locations in Chicago that I have been to). All of the locations also offer a free 30 minute intro class (which is what I tried before joining), followed by an information session, which provides a great over of the classes and membership options. read more

I try to go to 5 classes a week but they also have virtual classes if I can't make it to the studio. There are a variety of classes and levels so you never get bored. I love this place! The classes range from beginner to advanced so anyone can join - no experience necessary. The instructors are motivating, personable, helpful, and friendly. The monthly unlimited membership is well worth it if you plan on attending more than one class per week. They also offer private sessions. These classes will help you feel muscles you never knew you had, stand up taller, become stronger - all in a welcome environment. I highly recommend! *COVID note - All equipment is cleaned before and after each class. Socially distanced stations, temperature checks are taken before each class, limited congregating before & after class, proper air filters are installed. To respond to Taylor's response to my review. First, your contact from you or instructors was not very good in my opinion most of the time. The thermostat was not sent at 68 degrees when I attended many of my classes. You spent more time responding to my review than helping with my issues. Also, I went to a Club Pilates three times in Fort Myers, Fl over Thanksgiving and it was hot and humid but the Club Pilates was cool with no humidity. I think you can improve your instruction from your instructors and the climate as well. read more

I started going to Club Pilates in December 2021 and it has helped me a lot with posture/ back pain. I would highly recommend this place not only because the instructors are caring and dedicated to help you achieve your goals, but also because it offers a great deal when it comes to membership prices for those who are interested in attending classes more than once a week. I love the workouts. I've been going to class 3 days a week for the past 10 ten weeks and I can definitely see a change in my body. My arms look better, my lower abdomen is shrinking and my posture has improved immensely. All of the instructors are wonderful and no two classes are the same.
