The owner took absolutely no responsibility for her actions and decided to disclose information about my call log and state non factual things about me to ok her wrong doings . Which may I add is not legal. She proceeded to say she felt disrespected by me (her client) because I walked in one day at at 4:28 when class started at 4:30. While I was trying to rush into class the owner kept going back and forth with me about me going in and out. Unfortunately, this studio charges for everything so I usually bring my own weights. Due to her going back and forth I felt overwhelmed and wanted get in I decided to leave my bag and not take the weights. I'm positive that in the middle of the back and forth I made a face (I was uncomfortable) because this owner started repressing her client super loud in front of ppl. I guess from that moment on the owner had it out for me. This studio overbooks and then mistreats people when there is no space. As an owner if you felt that me arriving at 4:28 was unacceptable you should've cancelled my class and not allow me into the class. That's perfectly fine. Instead you proceeded to have a back and forth with your client. Due to this situation the owner proceeded to tell my sister that this is why she felt the need to disrespect me because she felt disrespected in front of her brother. Completely UNPROFESSIONAL. I must say I feel bullied at this point. She should have pulled me to the side to discuss any issues because I am not a nasty person and I can definitely admit to my mistakes. There are ways as an owner to address things with your clients instead of having it out for them. May I also add she did this to two other clients on Sunday. Took their reservation and didn't allow them to come into class because it was over booked. In this case it is unfortunate because we felt like since Maria is the owner to a YOGA studio maybe we could discuss what happened in a calmer manner and understand both sides she proceeded to take zero accountability for her disrespect. At this point after witnessing this owners behavior it is clear that she only cares about money and wants to walk around mistreating people because she's the "owner". Extremely distasteful. She decided to embarrass two of her clients and allow them to walk out upset. I felt like I was in the mean girls movie. Completely disregarded your clients feelings. ** She also blocked my sister from being able to talk classes in her studio. ** No need to block me because I will never step foot into a studio that does not care about people's feelings. This review is super upsetting because I NEVER LEAVE NEGATIVE REVIEWS, but in this case I felt like it was necessary. I really liked this studio, the owner is extremely disrespectful though. There are ways to speak to your clients, but this owner was completely out of line. Screaming at your clients after a class that is suppose to clear your mind is absurd. Yelling at your client in front of the whole class and may I add she yelled at my little sister who suffers from depression loves working out here and this has been the only studio where I have been able to get her to like and come to. It's extremely disheartening. I am fully aware that every studio has its rules, but there are ways to express those rules without being condescending to your client. The class ended at 10:29 we waked out at 10:30. I understand we have to respect others meditation, but we did not walk out before the class ended. I am fully aware as this is not the only studio I go to that we have to be mindful of others meditation while walking out. May I also add, the owner was taking the class as well. She proceeded to yell while my little sister was walking out disrupting everyone in the class (meditating ) and embarrassing her. It was a very mean-spirited, UNPROFESSIONAL move. The instructors here are great and I would love to continue coming here, but after today it makes it really hard to feel comfortable here. It's unfortunate bc mental health is a big deal and these studios represent clearing your mind and soul. Unfortunately, after today I'm not sure this space is for me. I walked out from this confrontation with anxiety due to the owner. Tbh I hate to leave this review bc I do like classes , but this is not the first incident I had with the owner. It would have been more appropriate if the owner would've approached this is calmer/ private manner. Instead of continually repeating her point for everyone to hear. She repeated herself 10 times. I hope this review serves as a learning experience. I am a business owner as well and I could never imagine speaking to any of my clients in this manner.

It was a decent class, but there was a lot of talking throughout, so I personally didn't find it that relaxing. I'm also new to yoga in general, but the instructor didn't help me at all when I had the wrong form or I didn't understand a term. With covid regulations in place, goat yoga was outdoors in the concrete area to the side of the building, on a beautiful September evening. There were some decorations/greenery and tents if anyone preferred shade. Kelly the owner and yoga teacher was inspiring, clear in her yoga instructions, and made sure everyone social distanced and understood mask regulations. I took the name of this place quite literally thinking it was a real barn and figured the goats would live on premises, but Karen graciously shared her farm animals with us by bringing them from out east for the event- she brought about 5 goats and a special guest Muriel a very social sweet alpaca who easily became my favorite and was so soft!! The yoga class itself was about 45 minutes and very gentle- great for beginners but also still a good workout for those experienced. Do not expect your typical peaceful experience when you're lying on your mat and suddenly a goat is looming over you haha but they are just saying hello.. also Bellmore avenue was pretty loud with cars due to rush hour but Kelly made jokes about it which I appreciated. Kelly and Karen left time at the end (well, the beginning too if you arrived early!) for petting time, selfies, and photo ops with the animals which was smart since they know that's why most of the crowd came. Something to note for all goat yoga (not just this location)- but the goats drop little poops and pee throughout the class so be alert with your belongings (luckily it was visible where it was since it was on concrete).. but it was cleaned up quickly and considerately. They have a fenced section that you can keep your belongings (which I did luckily so they wouldn't nibble on my bag) but some people needed their phones by their sides during the class so.. proceed at your own risk! Lol. I hope to be back next season when more outdoor events take place..I know some friends that are already interested in joining me. Thanks Kelly and Karen for a unique experience! :)

I've been taking her class for some time now. She works on your form and your alignment so you get the best benefit out of the practice and don't hurt yourself. She sometimes gives you small adjustments to make when needed so you can go deeper into the pose. And she is very patient!

I loved prenatal yoga with Jen with my first and I am back to her classes with my second. This time I bought the three months unlimited prenatal yoga so I can dedicate more time for me during this pregnancy. Nesting Place Merrick offers SO much! I got to experience postnatal strength with Jen, Reimagined NY Kids sensory class, developmental play, play groups and the fourth trimester group! I am so thankful for the Nesting Place. It really helped me get through postpartum with all their classes and services available. I am so grateful to have met friends throughout my time here and I am so happy to be back for my second pregnancy!

So, all I have to say is wow! I'm thankful once upon a time I studied classical ballet because my…read morelegs have always been strong, so I impressed myself last night. This studio is no joke! I love how during the spin class we got off the bikes and went into the studio to add on some exercises with body poles to do crunches and various movements to get a total, full body workout. Even better is the crunches and push ups that were integrated. The music is awesome, and I was encouraged to sing along, which if you really know me, makes me a happy camper. I will definitely be going back and am really looking forward to trying out some of the Zumba classes because I LOVE to dance! Nothing like upbeat, friendly, positive instructors to make it so much more enjoyable!
