Lockers are fairly easy to figure out and will hold your purse, coats, plans for world domination, etc but are not completely necessary to use. The rowing machines are spaced out well so a small workout bag is not too obtrusive in your space. Instructor Kat London was extremely sweet, personable and helpful. She checked up on all the newbies and motivated us without being pushy or cliche. She demonstrated all exercises so we could follow along. You're rowing quite a bit during the 50 min class, but you're also getting a well rounded workout with circuit training. Be prepared -- dead lifts, squats, planks or presses with weights are not out of the question. Additionally, rowing itself is not terribly difficult, however it takes practice to get your form perfect and not rely on your shoulders and lower back to take the brunt of the work. CITYROW is easy to locate in Plainview's most bougie shopping centers, with ample parking among the G-wagons and Tesla's. If you time the class right, you won't have to complete with the Starbucks morning rush crowd. The instructor, Maria Costellos, was super cool and matched the energy for someone new like me and some of the regulars. It was a challenge I have to say but well worth its value. I consider myself fairly active and really thought I'd breeze through rowing but honestly got my butt handed to me lol. All machines are distanced and kept in ways to not interfere with others which is good. For those considering an alternative workout to say a soulcycle or something, this would be a solid choice. They only opened recently but I can imagine within the year this place to get pretty packed. Well worth it and the experience with the team there was pleasant, definitely recommended to stop by as they offer the first class free.

When you think of Jazzercise, a bunch of old ladies exercising probably comes to mind and I'm not going to lie - this is very much what the vibe is giving when you come to Jazzercise. But the great thing about this workout is that it's super adjustable. If you want to go level up the workout, grab a heavier set of weights, go all out with the arm movements and jumps and overall have fun, because that's what Jazzercise is really about. I took their cardio sculpt class which was part cardio dance, part floor workout with weights. Don't want to lay on the floor? Don't worry, there are modifications for that. I got a free class because I am a first time pure barre member so I was entitled to get a weekly pass to take classes free for a week. I am a mom of a toddler and I work full time so chances are Saturday's class is the only one I'll get to before the pass expires. I loved my experience here. I can't really afford to pay membership but I can definitely take a class once in awhile for the $25 with my friend so I will probably be popping in once in awhile to take classes when my friend and I both have a chance or if I am able to go to one myself. They have amazingly cute work out clothes and pure barre grip socks for sale but unless you can get something from the sale rack it's a bit pricey. I will probably cave in one day and buy a pair of grip socks when I attend a class. My friend and I checked out the sale rack after the class was over and I bought a shirt that was on sale for $20. It was XS but it ran big and was definitely vanity sized so for my 147 pound body I was happy to fit into an XS something which I sometimes do when I wear lularoe! So I got a free class but pure barre still made almost the price of the class off me because I bought the shirt. The class was amazing the instructor I think her name was Caitlin (I most likely spelled it wrong) was so nice. She corrected my form without making me feel embarrassed. Besides the instructor there were two other pure barre teachers in the class so you were also able to watch them while taking the class. Everyone in the studio was so sweet and friendly. It was definitely a positive environment to work out in. I was expecting people to be a little snobby because pure barre is known to be a rich lady's work out but everyone was pretty nice. I will be back again for classes once in awhile and if I fall into money I'll be buying monthly memberships here I love pure barre! (I mean that seriously, I feel sore sitting down haha.) I'm 24 years old and am not totally new to exercising (I used to swim, kick box, cycle and run every so often) but since gyms closed and everything shut down I've gotten a bit out of shape. The owner Dom is really nice and explained everything so well! The other trainer Jay is also great. They're both super patient with newbies and do a fantastic job explaining what goes on in class and how to do each exercise. They're also quick to provide modifications if need be. The gym is super clean and each member cleans their equipment before and after use, and the trainers clean as well. Members also wear their masks during class and you have to reserve a spot to ensure proper social distancing measures. I highly recommend this gym if you're looking for a new, good workout!

We saw another studio which was run down, dingy and falling apart. We were very happy with the ambiance and cleanliness of the venue. The studio is easy to find and there's plenty of parking. Our instructors were Serafina, Daniella and Brianna. The three of them were amazing and everyone appreciated their nurturing demeanor. From the moment we arrived to set up, they were on top of everything. The kids attending the party ranged from 3 to 12 years of age and all had a great time. They actually learned the names of every child at the party! Congrats to June for hiring such hard working and professional young ladies.
