I'm adding this review of only two stars because for the past week, the studio showers have no warm water. I was told last Monday and today that the showers would be fixed and as someone who has to commute after class directly to work and knows students who are in the same position, this is unacceptable, especially as the weather becomes extremely cold. I was dismayed when I came in today exactly one week later only to find that the showers were not repaired. All we got a students was a simple we're sorry, but our water doesn't work.... Coming out of a heated yoga class to a shower with no warm water is hazardous to your health and can potentially cause medical issues due to the extreme changes in temperature. As someone who has to commute I had no choice and the matter and had to shower all the same. While one occurrence of this being an issue is one thing, having it happen twice in one week is honestly just unprofessional. I say this is somebody who's been going to Core Power Yoga since 2023. To boot, the facility is still not on par with the others that I've been to (Woodbury, or grand Avenue). I can never recall a time even in the most extreme cold temperatures that either of these other studios I've been to has ever had a heated water issue. The fact that it's been a week and this continues to occur tells me that there could be something wrong with the water tank and that the studio never got it fixed. This is disappointing as once again I am emphasizing the instructors are excellent and the class offerings are good. Overall, I think the studio just needs a little more care, especially when it comes to things like having to run heated running water. I'm a member who's been paying full price for the all access membership and have been very satisfied with my overall Core Power Yoga experience but this studio appears to be an outlier in that regard...

It was clean, she didn't take me to the office like a interview she talked to me, asked me my goals, have I been to a anytime, she asked my strengths and weaknesses, took me to them machines, to the purple floor where the trainer was I got to meet, she took me to the weights and studio told me about the studio, showed me the restrooms and trainer office. Then the lockers and the her office she told me about the biweekly payments, I can go to any of the anytimes, we touch base again on my goals what have I done in the past and more. We need her on our team and at our gym.

I joined the Anytime Fitness earlier this year with the intent to get in shape for a surgery I had…read morethat was coming up in 18 months. Like everyone in the neighborhood, I wanted to support the local franchise. At the beginning of March, in the middle of the night, I blacked out and fell from standing, hitting my head on the linoleum kitchen floor. I have a brain injury and cognitive issues since then. Things were exacerbated by two motorcycle accidents while learning to drive at the motorcycle safety course at the end of June. At the beginning of July, I alerted AF to let them know that I was struggling physically and cognitively and needed to cancel my monthly membership because I was unable to utilize the facility due to acute injuries sustained from my accidents. I had applied online. Applying online was a huge mistake because it didn't tell you that although you are paying biweekly, you are also locked into a year contract for over $800. Had I known that, I never would have signed up. It was a regret that the facility manager mentioned regarding signing up on the website because in person, that was something she would have told me. She admitted it wasn't clear in a phone call I had with her to explain my situation. I said that I would get a letter from my general physician. My physical therapist also told me to let the gym membership go to focus on more gentle chair exercises that she gave me. It took a few weeks to get the letter from my doctor, which I had let Af know. My physician was extremely busy during these summer months. When I got the letter, I immediately sent it over to the manager at AF. They said they couldn't reimburse me for the month I didn't use and that they would continue to charge my bank account for the additional month of August and that they would charge an additional $50 to cancel the membership. These fees would come to $106. Charging me additional fees and a cancellation fee WAS NOT discussed when I was asked to get a note from my doctor. They charged me for the first payment in August. I emailed and asked them to stop since they had the doctor's note. They informed me that I could refuse the payment but that it would go into collections. I hate to say this, but this was pretty shady. You don't need to go to a gym where your fixed income is deeply impacted due to the greediness of franchises that lock you into a membership where they continue to siphon money out of your bank account even though you've proved that you are unable to use their facilities. It's an apathetic, poor business model. No wonder there aren't very many people in their gym. It's unfair and added an enormous load of stress. I would get your own weights, bands, bikes, and go for a walk around your neighborhood, because it accounts to the same thing. Gym memberships are highway robbery and with the tariffs that are about to hit us so hard that things can go up to 40% over what they usually cost, luxury items like, gym memberships are financial leaks that can be plugged or avoided at all costs. Their rote replies about caring for customers and hoping for a second chance is childish and doesn't heal the problem. Read through the reviews. Everyone was super nice and welcoming and I got a complimentary bag of bath salts my first time going! It was a pretty typical barre workout, we warmed up with some movement before using resistance bands, small yoga balls, light hand weights, and sliders. We ended with a cooldown stretch and breathing. It was a great holistic full body workout that is definitely suited for all levels. I was dripping sweat throughout LOL I usually go to solidcore since I have a membership but since injuring my shoulder, I have been taking a break and trying to find new places that are lower impact on my shoulder. I was able to make lots of modifications while still getting a good burn in. I definitely recommend this barre workout for people looking to be active with a slight challenge.
