They have such a great variety of classes from Vinyasas "C2", to traditional hot yoga, to yoga sculpt which is a cardio-light weight lifting class, they have a class for every type of yoga I'm looking to do. I love that all of the classes are heated to some degree, allowing me to get deeper into poses and rinse out toxins. It is also awesome that every class includes an ab workout - I had never realized how critical strong abs are to improving your yoga practice before joining here. Since joining, I have made leaps and bounds in my ability to do inversions and arm balances which I essentially had no idea how to do before I joined such as crow pose, side crow, headstand, forearm stand, headstand, hurdle, peacock, and headstand! The teachers are top notch and are so helpful in walking you through new "peak poses". I like how the C2 classes are designed to build upon different poses that get you geared up to learn a new peak pose at the end. The studios at this location are really really wonderful - they have a huge second floor studio with a wall that is all windows where you can get gorgeous sunrises and sunsets depending on the class time! Also, the teachers are great at giving you a thought to ponder before class to center yourself and get into the meditative aspect of yoga. You also can't beat the savasana meditation at the end of a hard class which includes a cool lemon-lavender cloth gently placed over your eyes. My favorite teachers are Jill P., Katrina, and Danielle, although all of the teachers here are excellent! The membership is totally worth it - I think of it as a gym membership and a therapy membership all in one! ;-)

But to have an instructor using profanity to motivate students- was a bit much for me. It was my first time in Kerry's class and I have to say it was a complete turnoff. Yelling at students "F that shit up" and "Let that shit go" can't be apart of the training she received to be an instructor. I am still very shocked that this is acceptable behavior. Judging by looking around the room, others felt the same way. It was terrible-is this what yoga has turn into??

I just wish I got more adjustments and help from some of the instructors. I told one of them it was only my 3rd class and she didn't give me any adjustments at all, so I wasn't sure if I was moving correctly. I did really love Kaitie though, she was welcoming to me my first time and helped adjust my body as needed and gave me tips. Overall, a decent place. Just wish I got some more attention as a beginner from the other instructors.

The studio is nicely tucked in a neighborhood along with food places. Free street parking if you get there at the right time, but there are parking garages if needed. The studio is clean, they have a small retail area, and most importantly the staff were very welcoming. Britney did an amazing job keeping our heart rate up and body moving! The best thing is if your body is saying no to an exercise, you can ditch it and Britney will come over for modifications. All-in-all, I had an amazing time rediscovering my body and muscles!

As a regular gym and studio junkie that loves a good group workout, Barre3 had all the elements I was looking for- strength, cardio, core, and jamming good tunes. First- let's talk location. You know that old cliché that location is everything? Well this holds true here! The newest studio is located just off I-25/Belleview, near the new Belleview Station development. For me, this makes coming to class extra convenient. I work downtown and live in the DTC- so I frequent the Belleview station park-n-ride. Boy is this convenient! It's literally on my way to and from work. Love it! Parking has not been an issue for me. I usually park on-street, but if that gets too busy (it might, with all these cool businesses opening), there's covered parking that's free. Good to have options! Okay, the studio. It's BE-U-TI-FUL! So clean, so bright, so welcoming! I'm in love with the simple color scheme and wooden floors in the studio. It is very inviting and energizing. Lockers are available for use that include a key, or you can also tuck your shoes in a cubby and hang coats on a hanger. The bathrooms are nice- they have some amenities like feminine products, hair ties, dry shampoo (YES! A must for me before work), and deodorant spray. Class workouts will be FUN- they definitely challenge you, but it'll ALL be worth it. I will say the big take-away is most movement have layers of modification- so you can crank it up if things are too easy, or you can notch it down if you're feeling stress and pain anywhere. I haven't met an instructor I don't like yet- all of the ladies are super welcoming, friendly, and willing to listen to individual needs- like injuries or conditions. Finally, the overall pricing packages make this a spot I will look forward to frequenting. I get it- the market is a bit saturated with fitness options, various special gyms, and group classes. Barre3 provides you with ALL your props (ball, mat, resistance band, weights), towel service, and a flexible schedule with classes from early evening to late after work-hours. I was able to attend a candlelight hot yoga session free of charge through some app (going through…read morea trial period right now) just last night and had a wonderful time during the guided meditative session where I was able to release some of the tensions and stress I had. This DTC location is appears to be an addition to their current operation (their Lowery location might be their first one; I might be wrong though). They have a very welcoming atmosphere. Once inside, the reception area is quite roomy. You will immediately remove your shoes there so you can line them up against the window alongside Newport street. Lockers are available for class attendees. Store merchandise are placed mostly in the center of the welcoming area. The actual yoga studio is spacious. Very clean where you absolutely feel safe and comfortable. But most of all, relaxed. Yoga blocks and dumbbells (and other equipment) are in the little room to the right of it if you are facing upfront where the instructor is. If you forget a hand towel, no worries; they have plenty of them upfront for the attendees (free of charge). After your class, they give you a small rolled cold towel so you can refresh yourself; they are like "oshibori" given at a Japanese restaurant upon sitting at your table at the start of your meal (LOL)! Very considerate gesture indeed. I am still a beginner in yoga. Each time I attend a yoga class, I still get intimidated by the idea of it at the beginning but the instructor last night was one of the most helpful and supportive of not just mine but everyone's ability and limitations. I felt at ease as I could simply be myself with what I could do and couldn't do. And the candlelight without any fixed lightings created the most beautiful moment and atmosphere. I thus highly recommend this place.
