What a great way to close out the night! Thanks to WWP, I was able to experience Barre again! Katie and Britney were amazing! The studio is nicely tucked in a neighborhood along with food places. Free street parking if you get there at the right time, but there are parking garages if needed. The studio is clean, they have a small retail area, and most importantly the staff were very welcoming. Britney did an amazing job keeping our heart rate up and body moving! The best thing is if your body is saying no to an exercise, you can ditch it and Britney will come over for modifications. YIPPIE! Barre3 has raised the bar on group workouts. I was thrilled to first hear Barre3 was coming to the DTC neighborhood a few months ago. As a regular gym and studio junkie that loves a good group workout, Barre3 had all the elements I was looking for- strength, cardio, core, and jamming good tunes. First- let's talk location. You know that old cliché that location is everything? Well this holds true here! The newest studio is located just off I-25/Belleview, near the new Belleview Station development. For me, this makes coming to class extra convenient. I work downtown and live in the DTC- so I frequent the Belleview station park-n-ride. Boy is this convenient! It's literally on my way to and from work. Love it! Parking has not been an issue for me. I usually park on-street, but if that gets too busy (it might, with all these cool businesses opening), there's covered parking that's free. Good to have options! Okay, the studio. It's BE-U-TI-FUL! So clean, so bright, so welcoming! I'm in love with the simple color scheme and wooden floors in the studio. It is very inviting and energizing. Lockers are available for use that include a key, or you can also tuck your shoes in a cubby and hang coats on a hanger. The bathrooms are nice- they have some amenities like feminine products, hair ties, dry shampoo (YES! A must for me before work), and deodorant spray. Class workouts will be FUN- they definitely challenge you, but it'll ALL be worth it. I will say the big take-away is most movement have layers of modification- so you can crank it up if things are too easy, or you can notch it down if you're feeling stress and pain anywhere. I haven't met an instructor I don't like yet- all of the ladies are super welcoming, friendly, and willing to listen to individual needs- like injuries or conditions. Finally, the overall pricing packages make this a spot I will look forward to frequenting. I get it- the market is a bit saturated with fitness options, various special gyms, and group classes. Barre3 provides you with ALL your props (ball, mat, resistance band, weights), towel service, and a flexible schedule with classes from early evening to late after work-hours. I got the chance to visit Barre3 on their 2 year anniversary for the free glow in the dark evening class. It was my first time ever doing this type of exercise -- it was definitely different for me! Let's just say I'm not the most graceful and balanced dandelion and I laugh out loud when I see my bff thrusting her hips in the air on top of the exercise ball. I'm sorry, I'm a child. Moving on... + The space is open concept and when you walk in through the door, you see basically everything there is to the studio. It was smart to come dressed ready to go and to bring minimal items with me, as there is limited space and restrooms. There're some CUTE things for sale, as well as a child care area. + Glow in the dark isn't a usual thing for them, but it was cool. I don't feel like I had enough space on the floor (girl who I kicked in the face, if you are reading this, I'm sorry) but it's probably because it was a special class. The treats and sips afterwards were a really nice touch. + As for the workout itself, it was really different for me. The small, controlled movements were tough at times. I've been here a couple of times - first for their grand opening, and then again with through Classpass (love that they're on Classpass!). It's close to my house and parking is never an issue, as the Belleview Station area has street parking as well as a huge free lot. The studio is itself is gorgeous. The whole space is very open and bright, lots of light wood, white walls, and big windows. I like that it doesn't feel cramped or dark the way some studios do. Oh, and we can't forget the workout! It's difficult in the best possible way. Everything is low-impact and easy on the joints but challenging. It's a mix of cardio, leg/seat/upper body/core work, and some stretching and breathing exercises. It is a full body workout, and you will burn and shake! I like that it has a bit more cardio and seems to get my heart rate up more than other barre classes I've taken. The instructors balance demonstrating the moves with going around the room and adjusting form if necessary. Modifications are offered throughout so that you can scale back your workout if you have an injury or something just doesn't feel good in your body, or you can challenge yourself even more and really push if you're feeling like a beast that day. Barre3 seems very body-positive and inclusive, which is personally very important to me. I'm not a head-to-toe lululemon wearer or someone who has perfect hair throughout my workout, and I have always felt included. I've seen women of all ages, shapes, and sizes here. There's no talk about getting a "summer" or "bikini" body, burning calories, "earning" your glass of wine or dessert, or anything else of that nature. The classes center around getting stronger, pushing your limits, doing what feels good in your body that day, and creating a sense of balance. read more

I came this last weekend and loved everything about this space. The studio is bright and open. The owner, Katie, was extremely helpful and made sure everyone was set up and comfortable. I've done barre classes before so I figured I knew what I was in for but this was slightly different from the other barre classes I've taken. You didn't stay at your barre the whole class but instead moved around the room. I felt the workout the next day but in the best way possible. Also this is a great location with plenty of parking and fun things nearby so you can run over to Corvus after class and reward yourself with a latte. There's childcare here as well which I'm sure is a huge perk to any busy moms. read more

Talk about feeling the burn. Went to Barre3 for a Yelp Elite event and fell in love with the amazing workout. I have been to previous barre classes and this one knocked all the others about of the water. There was good music, great instructor (Katie), and most of all it was a clean and new studio. Katie's workout killed me in a good way! My mom and I were sore for two days after. We got a great sweat, a killer work out, and even some zen moments. Can't wait to go back and try Barre3 again. I love this studio!! It is clean, very well maintained and the staff is beyond friendly! I haven't had a teacher that I don't like, each one pushes you in a different way and offers their own spin on the class. The owner Katie is super nice and takes the time to get to know you if you are new. The classes themselves are hard and make you work. I was new to barre and each instructor offers a modification to the harder movements which is great for beginners. I was worried it was going to be intimidating having never done exercise like this before but really anyone can do it. 3 months later and I am addicted and only go to this studio now!! read more

I just want to let everyone know how incredible Katie and her team are at the Barre3 Belleview Station Location. I have fallen in love with Barre3. It's really been just about all I can talk about this last week and a half to anyone who will listen. I went right on to the site after my first class and looked at recipes and the 10 minute online videos you offer and I have already started to feel amazing about what I am eating and my workout routine. I even purchased the equipment after my last class, I ordered some 4lb weights, Pilates ball, and bands. I have never felt so good after a workout in my life. I was drenched in sweat, and sore in every muscle for a couple of days after, but feeling that instant gratification is what got me hooked. The instructors are phenomenal at connecting with the people in the room, making everyone feel comfortable, making sure they are aware of injuries, and really helping to explain what to do, why we are doing it, and a modification to always make it work for you. I have been three times now, and it has been great. I will say the second time I went I didn't feel it as much, but I think it was just that I wasn't properly engaged throughout the entire class, because the third class kicked me in my seat! Lovely team here, and you are cheating yourself out of a really fun time and workout if you don't go in and take advantage. read more

Let's just say I have a whole new appreciation for Ballerinas and what it takes to develop their bodies and strength!!!! Ooooooh my booty was burning!!!! This class lit all my muscles on fire in the best of ways!!!! It was so much more of a workout as far as intensity is concerned compared to what I previously imagined!!!! I can't express how grateful I am to have had this experience as my first ever Yelp Elite event! The studio was beautiful and modern but I think my favorite part was seeing a rack in the window filled with Spiritual Gangster workout gear!!! Now that really caught my eye! The instructor and owner Katie was so open and warm and welcoming, she led an amazing class where she kept you motivated to keep pushing! The lighting was perfect and the music was right up my alley, dance music vibes give me all the feels!!!! I also appreciated that Katie was mindful of the varied levels of athleticism between different people in the class room and gave us variations for the more straining movements! She was thoughtful enough to check in with everyone about any injuries or areas of their body they needed to be easier on, mine was my shoulder so she gave me options for adjustments during the workout! Boy did I sweat the entire time and oh I felt the burn!!! I haven't had a workout that fulfilling in a long time, it was challenging but doable for most anyone!!!! All in all my friend and I had a great experience meeting new people and trying something to benefit our mind and our souls in the best way possible! The mix of yoga and ballet was a beautiful mix that was exciting and totally new!!! I loved it so much!!! I was inspired here to want to continue to be the best me! I went to the Barre3 Yelp Elite event a few months ago, so this post is WAY overdue. That being said, you know a place is good when you go back months later and write a review. Our instructor, Katie, seriously kicked my ass. I am fairly active, but dang was it a good workout. My legs were shaking so hard by the end, but it left me with that great "I earned this" post-workout burn. This was such a delightful and refreshing studio workout! I have been a fitness buff my entire life, but being diagnosed with Lyme Disease derailed my ability to do high intensity and crossfit workouts. Enter Barre3. The class was wonderful, and you receive personal direction from the trainers. When I returned for my second class, the studio owner remembered my name! I was very impressed with the inclusion, but of course as well the workout! Strength, cardio, core, and fantastic workout music. Went to my first class at 6:00am with Holly! The studio was clean, instructor was friendly with great energy and the music was upbeat. Class is a mixture of low impact cardio, Pilates and yoga. Holly took the time to help with movements and find the best way to challenge students. I have posture and hip issues and definitely feel better after taking one class. As a physical therapist I can be somewhat particular about almost any type of group class. This studio is outstanding in my opinion!! The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and take particular care to make sure each student has good form and intensity for their ability. There are always modifications demonstrated as each person is so individual. I have never felt pushed to do more than I could.
