I came here for my nephew's birthday party. He turned 5 and has a pool party with his friends. They allow you to rent the room for 1 hour and everyone gets a wristband to be in the pool area. They have staff decorate the room and stay there to help with anything you need including clean up. The pool area is really nice and all the kids seemed to have an amazing time. If you don't swim you need to dress as if you are because it is super hot and humid in the pool area. The staff were nice and friendly and everything was clean and looked great. Overall this was a great party and I know this rec center offers so much more - basketball courts, swim lessons, a gym, and more. read more

I love all of the pool options! I have enjoyed swimming laps here for five years. I brought my granddaughter for swimming lessons as an infant and for swimming in the kids pool for the last four years. The kids pool seems warmer than the lap pool which is nice for the little ones! The locker rooms/showers are very clean. The life guards are outstanding! They are alert, regularly change areas around the pool they are watching , and enforce safety rules respectfully! Another bonus is that the Parker Rec Center is very affordable and they offer a very extensive variety of classes for all ages. read more

This is one of my favorite places in town. So much so, I go there about five times a week! I take a variety of classes - yoga, Tabata, strength and Zumba (so far). Without exception, they are taught by knowledgeable, professional, friendly instructors. The facility is clean and I always feel comfortable there. I've never taken advantage of the pools or water classes but I often look in from the second floor and they look really inviting. All of this and I still think perhaps the best part of this gym is the price. It is reasonable and my membership includes the use of the Parker Fieldhouse gym which I've been to and is also very nice. No excuses not to workout! read more

Every Saturday my family comes to work out and swim. There are a variety of different pools, kids area, whirlpool, a water slide and rock wall. The water temperature maybe a tad bit cold for some folks, but is an appropriate degree for the majority. (Even I get a little cold sometimes.) The lifeguards are outstanding. They have always been atentative and happy to have helped me in a very professional manner. They always enforce the rules and seem to have a great attitude. The pool is available for open swim for majority of the time and the staff explains everything if an area is closed. The front desk staff is very nice and understanding of all questions or concerns, promptly addressing them. I have had nothing but good experiences here, and my family will be coming back for a long time. read more

I LOVE Parker Rec and the classes it offers. I feel so lucky to live not that far away that I can take classes. The charge is minimal ( even though I live in Aurora) and the selection is huge. I always look so forward to getting the catalog! I have especially enjoyed Irene Spieres yoga and Pilates classes for those older than 50. Reasons why I love this place: Yearly membership isn't too bad, it's not. Especially compared to Lifetime. They offer tons of free classes with your admission for the 'day'. Cycling, Yoga, etc. They're great. Friendly teachers too. Great when you need a 'personal trainer' to motivate you to push yourself. The pool is eh. It's good for swimming laps. They have a slide. Not anything special. They do have a Sauna though. Which is pretty cool. The gym is great. It's never super crowded, and I love that. I'm never fighting to get on my favorite machines at a certain time. It's clean. Never seen anything super dirty. The locker rooms used to be pretty iffy, but since the recent renovations the cleaning has definitely been stepped up a notch. It's in walking distance from my house. I can have someone drop me off here after school and walk home as a cool down. It's become kinda routine for me lately. That reminds me of another thing: The past however many months they've spent renovating the rec center have paid off. The front entrance is beautiful. Everything is so new, it looks awesome. I was so surprised when they opened the front back up a few weeks ago. It looks amazing. I think they were losing a lot of money to other gyms, and realize they needed to improve something. It's not even finished yet, I can't wait to see the finished product. This place is great if you want a cheap, local place to work out. This place is like monkey bizness with water and a total lifesaver for parents looking for things to do with their kids to burn some energy. For $22 a family of four can swim all day. We usually putter out in 2 hours but that works for me! The facility is very nice and new, the staff is friendly and the lifeguards are tuned in at all times. The only thing that could make the place better is if they took the lap lanes out of the play pool area and let the kids jump around in there as well. read more

Front desk really needs to work on their professionalism, very displeasing. Professionalism and customer service is one of the most important factors. A young female informed me my membership had been cancelled (they were supposed to cancel my sisters not mine), that mistake was on their end. Before I could even explain the wrong membership was canceled she says "Next!" -- Rude. I then go over to her co-worker besides her and explain my situation, she lets me go in for the day. Great. She also provided me with the membership manager's contact information, took her a whole week for her to even get back to me. At least hire people with common decency. read more

The Parker Rec Center has been a fixture for Parker Moms for a long time and continues to be a great and safe place to go and work out while your kids hang out at the pool/bball courts or other sports leagues. The price is right, very inexpensive compared to everywhere else in South Denver and there are classes 7 days a week from extreme bootcamp to gentle yoga. There is also a very well established seniors program "Silver Sneakers" with fitness classes, personal training and special events year round. If you want a fancy schmancy health club then head up to lifetime or 24 hour fitness but if you want a family friendly, clean, reasonably priced place to exercise, this is the best place in town. read more

The PRC is not on par with your big league gyms like Lifetime. What they do have going for them is low cost, and pay as you go plans with decent amenities. Things usually aren't too busy which is always good. They have all the standard free weights, machines, pool, etc. Everything seems clean and functional. Occasionaly they may kick you out of the pool for local swim team practices, but they usually post it first. For the price and what's included this is a solid deal. If you need a true gym ambiance and want to spend some more coin I'd go somewhere else. read more

Nice, clean, cheap place to work out. My only complaints are about the pool. It's a little small in my opinion and they use WAY TOO much chlorine. I take a shower right after getting out of the pool. Then I wash my hands multiple times at home, but I can't get the overwhelming chlorine smell off. This really takes a lot of the joy out of being a member. I want a nice pool. read more

There are so many organized fitness classes to choose from and when I go in the morning between 8:00am and 9:00am there is always a treadmill open in the cardio fitness area. The childcare workers are organized and responsive and they will text you right away if your child had an issue they can't resolve. Last week I lost my identification/membership card and it was returned to me from the lost and found. Bathrooms are always clean and it's not overly crowded. read more

The facilities are getting a lot nicer with the renovations, but I'd love more fixed-weight equipment and a larger cardio deck. However, I still love this place. I am addicted to various classes and my kids LOVE playing here. I've been here a few times to work out since restrictions were lifted. I was 13 minutes late to my timeslot (I know, my bad) but the staff were unnecessarily rude about it. I also commute from boulder, college student. I came up and a staff member asked me why I'm here. I said for the 11:00 and she says "and what time is it now"? Unnecessarily rude, and I think that my young age makes the staff think that it is acceptable to say that to a patron. Disappointed, feeling disrespected, will not come again.. read more

For some strange reason the crossfit craze has killed the regular gym industry in the area. In NJ I could find a bunch of gyms that were $20 or cheaper a month. Here in Colorado it's much much more difficult. For the price the Rec center here is excellent. There is more than enough gym equipment for me to get a great workout. The free weight Dumbbells go up to 115 I think so you can go pretty heavy if you can lift it. They keep cleaning bottles and towels all over so you can wipe down the machines before and after use pretty easily. It's pretty rare that I have to wait for much of anything. All in all its a good place to work our and to top it off they have a great pool and other things to do. read more

I am so surprise to read those negative comments about Parker Rec Center. Since I have been going to this rec Center it has been nothing but good! Customer service has been very polite & always ready to help me when I need assistance. The pool area is always clean & this is where I do most of my exercise. My daughter from Florida came for a visit & went to the Parker rec Center & the only negative comment she had was the rec center didn't have much weight machines. Was a member for 4 months, I never found the time to go so I decided to cancel my year long membership. I visited & the front desk staff were very short and rude with me when I said I wanted to cancel. I didn't have my ID on me to find my ID number and the lady was so rude and mad at me for not having it when it takes her .3 seconds to look it up. Glad I cancelled, not worth the awful customer service. Once I finally got it cancelled it cost me an additional $60 to just cancel. They hide fees everywhere. read more

BEWARE!!!!! When I signed up I asked if I can cancel early and the women said yes, what she choose to leave out was that they would charge me. In the contract it says " there may be a early cancellation charge" the manager said "right now our fee is 20%" that information is not posted ANYWHERE! Kudos to Parker Recreation Center. Since my last review, they have made some very positive changes in check-in procedures. I actually love this place - especially the warm lap lanes - which for some of us in or close to our 80's are very welcome. Ignore the negative reviews about the pool. The pool is great, my daughter has been coming here once a week during the summer for 3 years. We also use them for our birthday parties - best price you can find for kid's parties. People complaining about the "strict rules" are the ones you hate when you take your well behaved child somewhere, and wonder whose child is running wild without being properly supervised. There need to be rules to ensure the safety of all the kids. read more

If you don't have a pool in your community in Parker, you're screwed. The pool at the rec center is almost impossible to use because of swim team and 3 out of 4 times the heaters don't work and the water is freezing and H2O'Brien pool is disgusting. Never have I seen pool water as filthy and cloudy. read more

Fun atmosphere.. Great wall climb for active monkey kids!... Life guard staff was very attentive.. Stern.. But fair.. Always walking around and making sure kids were safe..
