If this is indicative of the way new members are treated at Club Pilates Rancho Mirage, I will definitely reconsider giving this location a try -- but as a paying member. Originally I had reached out to Club Pilates Rancho Mirage because I had switched health insurance companies to United Healthcare. One of the Member Wellness Benefits United Healthcare promoted to me is access to Club Pilates. Matt empathized with my disappointment that Club Pilates Rancho Mirage was not accepting additional United Healthcare wellness benefit redemptions this year. He then went the extra mile to find out that Club Pilates Rancho Mirage will not be a wellness benefit for United Healthcare members in 2025. And because of this new information, he shared options and costs on how I could enroll as a paying customer. Matt was friendly, professional, transparent and informative. I did not raise my voice nor offer profanity nor personal insults. Further, the credit card company, whom as I said I have been with for 50 years, told me quite clearly upon my phone inquiry that they did not issue a fraud alert. Club Pilates at Dana Point is outstanding. My wife and I have used three other locations and none hold a candle to Dana Point. The Instructors are true professionals! Most classes are unique each time I go and the instructors tell us what they are working on and always check to be certain that any medical conditions are accounted for. Sessions start on time and Instructors monitor us to be certain that we understand what we are supposed to do and don't hurt ourselves. We attend another Club Pilates a number of months each year and it's rare that the instructors there know our name. After two visits at Dana Point the Instructors know our names. Instructors that we have used that are especially good are: Colleen Myers, Bailee Wilkerson and Brianne Jennison If you want to stay physically fit, keep your core engaged, have a good time and want ease in getting classes this is the place. read more

I was a member at this studio for a handful of months and based on what you pay for, I don't find it worth it. For one, I disliked the fact that you could only move up to level 2 with instructor approval after a certain amount of time. Secondly, during my time there, there were only two instructors that I liked that really got you moving. There was a new instructor hired during my time there and this woman would bring a notepad to her classes and read through them as if she had never done Pilates before let alone be an instructor. She would forget to do movements on our other side and was extremely slow paced. I ultimately felt like I was just doing stretches when I'd go to her classes and for the amount you pay, which is equivalent to a car payment, that was almost like a slap in the face. It was difficult to avoid booking her classes as I worked during normal business hours and could only book the later classes. Thirdly, the classes were all set the same every week. So if you wanted to take a particular class but it conflicted with your schedule, you basically could never take it. I ran into that a number of times. I left club Pilates and took an intro class at another studio close by that is privately owned and what a HUGE difference. They're classes incorporate all levels (mind you, I felt like an absolute idiot during it because they were doing things you'd probably see in a level 2 at club Pilates, maybe even a level 3, which I never experienced). This alone spoke volumes to me. Plus the instructor was an absolute delight and she made sure your butt got kicked. Moral of the story, don't commit to one place before experiencing others like I did. Pilates is obviously a huge investment so use your money wisely. Although private studios can cost slightly more, it's worth it as you're not limited. Also, please, you guys have been reeling people in with the "we'll waive the $124 enrollment fee if you sign up today!" as if it's a one time offer and you're hooking people up. This is done all year round. Highly suggest looking into other people's experiences with CP online and what a nightmare they can really be before committing. read more

Treat yourself to Pilates! I always feel fantastic after a class at Club Pilates. All of the staff in this Rancho Mirage location are wonderful. Their philosophy of adapting the Pilates experience to your body's limitations is great. Having gone through a hip and knee replacement I am able to get through class with instructor modifications. They always ask before class if anyone has any physical concerns- backs, knees, shoulders, etc. Pilates is for everyone. It is a full body work out with a well educated instructor demonstrating and assisting. They offer a free class and I highly highly recommend giving it a try. read more

They offer a "free" introductory class, then hit you with their sales pitch. They offer an unlimited plan where you can book as many sessions as you want and an 8 sessions per month plan. There's about $100 dollar difference between the two plans. They force you to pay for 3 months in advance because " we want you to see results before you quit. That's either $837 or $537 before you ever have a real class or try to use their scheduling system. Members on the 8 session play can only book classes 30 days in advance and they quickly find out that all the morning classes are filled up and your "waitlisted." So you have to go on the waitlist and then "wait" for a few hours to a few minutes before the class to see if you get in. You can never get any kind of regular schedule going. What they don't tell you during the first sales pitch is that the unlimited members get to book their classes 60 days in advance so that's the reason why when it's your turn to book classes, you find that all the morning classes are full and the only classes that are left are afternoon classes with their less popular instructors. Because they don't tell you about their two tiered scheduling system, it doesn't take long to realize you're a second class member their. To add insult to injury, if you want to quit, they bill your credit card for another month even though they're not providing any service whatsoever . If you join, be prepared to shell out $ 716 to be treated like a second class member unless you want to pay $100 more a month more to get the "unlimited " program. It's an obvious attempt to get members to pay nearly $300 per month just so they have any chance of getting any type of regular program there. Save your $2000 to 3000 a year and go to your local gym. The only extra thing they have is a "reformer." You can get the same results with regular gym equipment. Sorry I wasted my money there. read more

Great staff! Very professional and helpful. After taking private lessons for years, I'm very happy to be able to attend classes 3-5 times per week for a flat monthly rate. I like different instructors and the variety of activities. The instructors always introduce themselves and ask if there are injuries so they can assist with modifications. I realized that my body was desperately needing stretching and strengthening. I tried out an intro class and was hooked. Just had my first full class and loved it. I Think Pilates is the best workout . Rancho Mirage club Pilates has several classes and great teachers . You can go to different teachers and get a Awsome workout each time. I find this workout keeps me feeling energized all day, All My clothing fits me much better keeping my muscles tight and tone. I just moved to the desert recently and was looking for a studio that would meet my needs and give me the motivation I have been lacking to get into a routine. This studio did not disappoint. After attending a class there I immediately signed up for the unlimited package and I am so happy I did. I wanted to really see what pilates can do for the body and personally felt I would need to give it a few months to actually see results. I am seeing them and I am so happy! This studio allows me consistency in my routine and the deep knowledge from the instructors. The staff at this studio is so incredibly welcoming and kind. From the front desk management to the instructors who are always helpful and patient. I highly recommend this studio if you want to see changes to your body and self esteem. Almost a year since I joined because the physical therapist my orthopedist referred me to suggested that all I needed was to take Pilates classes. He was correct, as the pain shooting down my leg has completely disappeared. The studio is always clean, so many daily classes from which to choose and enough instructors to find those that are a good match. I upgraded to unlimited classes which makes scheduling for me simpler. The staff, including front desk, always has a smile and is helpful. I am a recently retired firefighter/paramedic and my body is really beat up. I have I had a level 3 neck fusion and back surgery. I also have nerve damage in my arms and some other issues. I've always done really hard core workouts but obviously I can't do that anymore. I found Club Pilates through my bodywork practitioner,Dennis. He also teaches there. He is fabulous! He recommended I take the intro class (which I did, and it was great.)It just teaches you the basics so you don't feel like a complete idiot when you're in the class. I took my first Pilates class today and I love it. It's very easy to follow. You can adapt the exercises if you have an issue. I definitely can tell I worked out and I look forward to my next class.
