I love this hotel, the rooms are clean the staff is great and the location in downtown Chicago at a reasonable price is fantastic.

It's a dirty dump that attracts clientele who get into brawls at 2AM, scream in the halls to the point the cops are called yet they're still not thrown out. We were literally afraid. Had to stay at this hotel because it was on partner's list of hotels he may stay at for it to be covered by work. Excellent customer service upon arrival. I like how guests would have to scan their key card before accessing the floors. Room is small and there was no fridge. There's zero bathroom counter space and I noticed that the room could use some touch up paint in some areas. The a/c filter in the room was really dirty as well. Management!! Housekeeping Had an horrible experience here with primarily the management team who should lead by example naturally. There was a huge lack of accountability, hospitality, and or genuine concern to myself the customer. Incident occurred while I was occupying the space in a King Suit, I was walked in on a total of three times hours prior to check out, I was to blame after speaking with many staff members and finally being called back by the hotels manager who screamed at me and told me I had to leave the property then proceeded to call the police on, I felt racially profiled and compared the various intrusions of my privacy to a mother and her child bathing in one of the properties room entrusting that prior to scheduled check out time there would be a certain level of respect, dignity and conduct the staff would uphold given that the staff are informed on which room/suits are being occupied on a day to day, night by night basis. I have an attorney on retainer whom I've already began legal proceedings with. I'd highly recommend reading other reviews aside of my own. The King suit also had a 50/50 split mattress which was a pain to sleep in and extremely uncomfortable to the plushness of touch. They need to conduct coaching for their management team expeditiously. I'm overly qualified to do so given that my previous employment before retiring at just 35 to see the world was Executive Assitant to a CEO for a multimillion dollar construction company. 1/10 experience and that was solely for the initial front desk/check in staff. Staff was great - amazingly helpful and friendly, but that was about the only positive. Unfortunately the hotel rooms should more likely be classified as a hostel. Smallest spaces I've ever seen in my travels. Literally, space for one adult to turn around, that's it. You'll run smack into your neighbors when opening the door. Maybe an inch between doors at a weird angle in a one person width hallway. No microwave or fridge. Bathroom shower had mold in corners, the kind that just won't disappear no matter how clean housekeeping tries to keep things. Lots of chipping paint, dirty marks on walls, and overall run down look. Zero bathroom counter space was not awesome. Counter was MAYBE big enough to hold two curling irons lengthwise, and no wider. And it states there is yoga/pilates stretching equipment in each room. But my rooms must have wandered off. But the kicker of the two night stay...coming home with bed bug bites. I thought things looked fine when I pulled the sheets around. Bites all over my arms disagree. Stayed here because it was booked for work trip. Otherwise I would have looked elsewhere! read more

Stayed here for training and was a bit disappointed initially because they put us in the Westin back home but honestly the customer service was so phenomenal I can't do anything but give five stars. I went to Chicago for a day to bring in the year. I stayed at this location. It is in a good spot in the heart of downtown. On arrival, I was greeted by customer service people. They took me to a kisok and had me log in. I completed the check-in. I was given my key and told where my room would be. It was on the 10th floor. The room was small but clean. There was a TV and coffee maker. This was new years, so there were some loud people. I also saw house keeping at a room. It seems that the people were smoking up the place with the maraJa juanee. Interesting New Years situation. There was also a closet. There was also a restaurant and bar downstairs, which was also convenient. I would stay here again in the future. read more

The Club Quarters on Adams Street is all about location, location, location. It provides good amenities. A clean room, with AC, and access to public transportation (bus and train). Most days you can check in early, no problem. This hotel has a small, but adequate gym. It has less than 5min access to running trails along the river or lake. The hotel is connected to a British Pub, but plenty of food options are readily available on all sides. You are not far from Willis Tower, or the Art Institute of Chicago. We walked to Soldier Field from here no problem. Because of a COVID policy, they only clean the rooms in between stays, but you can always ask for more towels, soaps, and other amenities. If you get here earlier than they can accommodate you or check out with day plans they will hold your luggage. I like it, it's a good hotel that puts me right in the heart if things in the Windy City. read more

I would look else where. I was given a room that was clearly halved from a full size room. The width of the room was barely the length of the "queen size" bed. It looked like a full size. Me and my boyfriend felt we could barely fit. There was beaten desk and a sad arm chair. The bathroom was probably the worst bit. The bed squeaked in a way that immediately gave me the ick and was hard and felt uncomfortable. It just felt dirty. The stains on the carpet made me not want to even take off my shoes. It felt like a "just sleep and leave" vibe. No fridge. Barely a foot between the end of the bed and wall. Not worth it. We left immediately and went to another hotel down the road. I don't know how they have 8/10 on Expedia but 3 stars here. read more

This place is a dive. Old af. Smells bad. Shower literally stops after about three minutes. The staff is super nice, but only one of the three people at the desk spoke English. I do not have an issue with people speaking other languages, but not when you are checking in customers. The snacks in the rooms are so old. No water except from a filter in the hall - it looked like it had not been changed in years so I looked at the replacement filter and guess what; last changed in 2019! This place sucks. read more

Tiny room with a tiny dresser stuffed in a tiny closet next to a tiny bathroom. There was some weird thing sticking to the wall above the door that someone covered with a paper towel. My first stay in downtown Chicago, and it was a pleasant one. Check in was simple, by touchscreen, and streamlined well. Parking was a little far, but not too much and the hotel lets you checkin, put your bags up to your room all while your car is parked out front. That made it so much more easy to then go park and not have the headache of rolling luggage from a couple blocks away. Noise was moderately low outside of neighbor guests going in/out of their room, which is to be expected. I had a King standard room, which was clean and just enough space for me, or with someone. The only downside was there wasn't a clothing iron, and the shower had very low water pressure. That's really the only thing holding this hotel back from a 5 star in my opinion. Amazing hotel in the heart of downtown within walking distance of everything and close to delicious food no matter which way you turn. Keep in mind the rooms aren't the biggest (but if you travel to big cities you know that is always the case because space is $$$) and they don't have a fridge unless you pay for the room with a kitchen-- but they have water stations on every floor, an ice machine on the third floor and you can request a microwave in your room. They also have complimentary coffee in your room and an amazing coffee/tea station downstairs in the work lounge. We also asked for an iron because there wasn't one in the room and within 15 mins they delivered one with its board. They're also located on top of a bar/pub that has good food and can do room service. The tv has a couple of different channels and you can request for room cleaning daily. The people in the front are super nice, always greet you when you come in AND when you leave. Check in is done at a kiosk but they help you, check out is also at a kiosk and it's super simple. Honestly really enjoyed my time here! read more

The room is microscopic and dated. Bathroom is a broom closet. "Closet," if it can be called that, will fit an electrical panel and could barely fit a small suitcase. Overall was a great stay, the place was fairly clean, the restaurant next door was lovely, and I was likely going to stay again when I plan to come back to Chicago in the future. However, upon checking out, the front desk woman Adrian was extremely rude. She lacked kindness, and acted like me asking her to print an invoice was asking for the most as she sighed and rolled her eyes. She put me off from the hotel completely. She was also yelling at multiple guests in the lobby when they were checking out, completely sucking the energy out of the room. I get peak times can be stressful and chaotic, and I'm not asking for the most chipper service, but watching her run that front desk left such a negative impression. That woman should not be working with people at all with her attitude. read more

I asked for daily garbage cleanup or to know where to dump trash because of my needs. Garbage sat, room smelled and I was never told where garbage goes for me to dump. I stayed here for two nights this past weekend and felt like the Princess and the Pea every night while trying to sleep. The bed was so uncomfortable and the two pillows on the bed were also too firm and big for me to handle. I sleep on my stomach and nothing about the bed accommodates that style of sleep. This place is clearly designed for MEN travelling on business, as the bed, colors in the room, and TV cable channels reflect. There was a good amount of channels on the TV, but about 10 sports stations smh, and no Cartoon Network or VH1! I missed those stations, but there was Netflix on the TV and a few HBOs which was good. The room is very small, but had enough space for a king size bed, arm chair, and desk, which was enough space for me. The first night (Friday) at about 2am, I was trying to sleep and kept hearing banging from downstairs. It sounded like the dumpsters were being lifted repeatedly. it was loud and disturbing being how late/early it was. Aside from these inconveniences, this isn't a bad hotel at all, but you've been warned. read more

The room was very cleaned and well maintained, also the restaurant has excellent choices and the food was delicious. Pretty nice! Check-in was easy and the lobby was welcoming. After check-in and I made it to my floor, I was greeted by a filtered water dispenser along with bottles/caps to fill up with. I wish that this was offered in more hotels, I like to have water on my bedside but I tend to knock over cups and make an annoying mess. The heater for the room worked great and it was quiet! I haven't slept this well away from home in a while. The bed was comfortable which was also a blessing. This was a great value for $92. Perfect hotel if you want to be in the heart of the city. Walking destination from many amazing attractions. Divvy bikes located right outside the hotel and the hotel is a short walk to all metro lines. EXTREMELY easy to get here from the airport! Just take the blue line from the airport to Monroe and it's a 5 minute walk to the hotel. Customer service is amazing. Really enjoyed the chilled purified water stations on every floor and 24 hr gym. Cheap price = small room. Very clean. This hotel actively works to save energy so if you want the AC or heat on longer, you just have to let the front desk know. The room was as expected...small and basic. We didn't plan to spend a lot of time in it, so we weren't looking for nor expecting anything fancy. It was more about the location and price...both of which were excellent. When we arrived, there was trash under the bed and the bathroom stunk like stale urine. We requested a new trash bag and an extra pillow...both of which never made it up to our room until my husband had to go down to the lobby to make a second request. We are still waiting on those two items as I write this. I saw the option to take the stairs down to the ground floor per the signs on the door...knowing that I would have to take the elevator back up since the doors lock when in the stairwell. Well, I walked down the stairs to the ground floor only to end up in the lobby of the building next door. I had to call my husband to let me back into the hotel. When I told the front desk I ended up in another building, he just looked at me and said, "yes, the stairwell brings you to the building next door," as if that's normal!!! We will limit our time in the room and keep it to sleeping only...but will not be staying at another Club Quarter again. read more

This hotel is located within walking distance of CTA stops, but not prime location for a weekend visit, as you have to take a train to get destinations. The hotel room was not clean (a pair of dirty socks was left in a drawer), had lots of wear and tear, and did not have ample towels, pillows, etc. Bottom line: I would recommend avoiding this hotel and staying above the river. read more

This place was totally functional and I would consider staying here again if the deal was right, but there were definitely some things that made it 3-star quality. The king size bed was two smaller beds in one frame with a pad on top, so there was a dip in the middle of the bed that made it uncomfortable. The heat/ac unit in the room is pretty loud and it dried the air out so bad that I woke up with my mouth/throat parched. And the walls are pretty thin so if you've got people in the room next to you having a conversation at a normal level, you're going to hear it, so a lot about your stay is going to be based on who's next to you (our neighbors were respectful so it wasn't an issue). read more

Stayed here for a few days in Sept for a business trip. Hotel was average, clean but room was musty. The worst part of the stay was that I was double charged almost $700 and the management has yet to refund even after 4 phone calls. I'm assured each time the situation will be handled but no phone calls back and no refund. This is not the way to treat customers. read more

I'm a business traveler, and this hotel showed up on our corporate booking site as being only slightly cheaper than some of the more prominent hotels nearby. I decided to try it, and wish I hadn't. My room was small and run-down (rust on the a/c vent, paint chips in various places, etc), with a noisy air conditioner and a faint smell of smoke. I won't make this mistake again. read more
