after being a member here for 16 months i can say that things have improved and for the rate i joined at, its a valuable membership. (i cant say for the new member price today) they updated the weight room with more machines, a bigger turf, and a giant LED screen. the sauna is back to a traditional stone (versus infrared) and they replaced the cryo chamber with a new device that is even colder! the recovery room has more spaces for all the offered benefits including theraguns, massage beds, etc. i'm happy they took many suggestions and made the improvements through the months. read more

Bad experience here - it's super hard to reserve classes as it is, and they don't consistently enforce the rules. I checked into at the front on time, and before I was able to walk up to the class, my spot was given away by the attendant Andrea because I arrived at the class door about 10 seconds late (this is not an exaggeration, I saw her giving the spots away as I was walking up). She was rude and was completely apathetic, and made absolutely zero effort to make things right in any way despite my frustration. I hope the studio starts hiring people a bit more understanding and nicer to us members who pay a crazy amount of money to come here. And to boot- the OC health department had to shut down the jacuzzi for several weeks because it did not have enough sanitizer in it. Stay away!! As long as Andrea works there anyway.. read more

Class are always booked we can never join. You have to literally be on your app right at the time class opens up. They change instructors last minute and we are not allowed to get out of class if we don't like the instructor without a fee. Pilates Is impossible to get into, most instructors are not certified for the exception of one or two. Most have a 3 day club studio certification in order to start teaching classes Sauna Is consistently broken CS4 They will add any instructor to teach a CS4 ie a boxing / ride instructor. They will train them on how to run the class/ the format and then they can began to teach. Also due to most instructor teaching other type of classes most instructors play techno during class and will scream in their mics. Most of us have complained about this no change and we have asked for instructors to play more of a 90s mix/ hip hop since HITT class we lift weights. There is an exception for one or two instructors but their classes get booked quickly so hard to get in. You will leave with a head ache from the music or end up leaving class early. Parking Very hard to find parking. So plan to arrive 30 min to 45 min before class in the afternoon. If you are late due to parking your spot in class will not be held and they give it away. eucalyptus towels We are promised to have this as an option. On weekends there is none available after 12 pm and if you ask for it they say it is a part of studio row and for the people taking classes. Or if they happen to have some in the back they will bring you one out and not fill up the fridge Wipes We are consistently out of wipes on the floor or in classes. Well...Here is my final review of the Club Studio as my membership is at its near end and I have decided to go other place for gym. I was a member here from the beginning and I have seen it from the beginning to the end. I have taken eleven Cycle classes, nine yoga classes, one rebound, and eleven CS4 (Now called CS5) and I can say unequivocally that the classes are efficient and definitely above average. I rate the classes effectiveness in scale of 0-10 and CS5 classes are 8 to 9, the ride classes are 7.5 to 9 and yoga classes are 6 to 7.5 in being effective workout at Club Studio. Ride Classes: My ride teachers have been Lauren (1), Tami (4x), Amanda (1), Ryss (1), Drea (1), Max (1), Emily (1), Yassi (1) and Beth (2x). I will say that all these teachers are superb, particularly Tami and Amanda (Crazy good energy throughout the class) because both of these teachers mixes a lot of weight in their routine. Tami uses weight twice versus 99% of instructors only do weight toward the end and she is also a veteran in riding. Max and Beth are also superb also and the rest are very good also. The only ride teacher that I did not like is Lauren. Lauren plays hip-hop and the music does not sink with a high class energy and she is still sort of trying to figure out why her class is typically 70%-80% full and I think it is because the music sucks during her class and she is off the bike a lot. The ride classes are 4 out of 5 stars. CS4/CS5 Classes: I have taken classes with Katrina, Ashley, Meesh, Kara, Max, Jacob, and James M. I can say that I have not had a bad teacher for any of my CS5 classes and generally speaking, I like them all equally. Each CS4/CS5 instructor has been very good but the noteworthy ones are Ashley and Katrina: Ashley brings a lot of energy into class, she is a good motivator and she does get the best out of me and Katrina is most hand on observing and making corrections to forms. My typical calorie burn at CS4 is about 600-750 calories but Ashley pushes me to 900 calorie range. So, I appreciate Ashley and Katrina each for different purposes. The CS5 classes are 4.5 out of 5 stars. Yoga Classes: I have taken nine yoga classes and I will say that Nikki M is fantastic for Restore classes and Dion C is great for Sculpt class: The rest of the Yoga teachers are in the 6.5 to 7.5 range. The yoga classes at Club Studio are not as intense as you would get in CorePower or Ra Yoga but nonetheless, I will not categorize these classes as unsatisfactory; but definitely not as intense as typical Yoga studios. The yoga classes are 3 out of 5 stars. Gym cleanliness, the front desk staffs and the managements: With only one or two exceptions out of 55 visits, I can say that the gym is always kept clean. It is amazing on how the towels are so fresh and the gym uses a very high quality face and body towels. The front staffs are super nice, smiling and members friendly. I have talked to management on a few issues and each time, the management and each manager that I have spoken to has been cordial, open to suggestions and very nice on addressing members concerns. In particular, Tess has always and always is willing to listen and work on deficiencies. I have to say that the management and front desk are superb and they do an excellent job. The gym cleanliness, staff and management classes are 5 out of 5 stars. Recovery Room: They offer Cryotherapy and massage chairs (FYI, it is an add-on option to gym membership) but it is worth it. It really is a nice feature and is impressive and I like that amenities from them and I will miss it wherever I go. The cafe: It is small but adequate for grabbing something after your workout if you want to but I have never tried anything there. The ugly part: Enrolling in class is still not easy (see attached class schedule screenshot samples from their app)! I typically get waitlisted for most classes and I usually get into these waitlisted classes 50% to 60% of the time. I don't think the issue of over crowded classes will ever be solved because the gym has too many members as it is popular (perhaps 1/2 Irvine is a member there) and the management is continuously signing new members and this is my only major gripe with this gym. Final verdict: A good gym, conveniently located by the freeway with latest state of the art equipments with many good to excellent instructors with great staff. I will miss it (with exception of Lauren ride class) and I hope that they keep up the good work. Very dissapointed with this club. Monday rebound class with Sara was replaced with hot pilates. All 25 members wrote letters expressing their desire to keep Sara rebound, unfortunately , no one is listening. Club has 12 hot pilates classes and 3 rebound classes. I loved Sara's class. I emailed Allyson asking to bring back rebound class. Havent heard back. I lost 4 lbs with Sara's rebound. Her class is super advanced and extra challenging. No two sessions are ever the same and Shane's always hugely motivating. The yoga restore classes with Kelly J border on perfection. Kelly creates a beautiful experience that soothes the body, mind and spirit. She was without a doubt born to do this -- and her vibe is highly contagious The recovery room space is a new experience for me and I usually spend twenty minutes there after my training sessions with Shane. Updated review: I recently signed up again for Club Studio since the location is great for me. I have been pretty happy with their offering this time around. I've been able to take about 20 classes and have tried different types of their classes, which have all been really good. Yes, the class sign up experience could be better... classes fill up very very quickly and you have to basically plan out your exercise week a full week in advance, but once you get into the class it's been great. The yoga class does feel like our mats are placed very close together but other than that the classes have felt great on my mind and body. Cs4 is challenging but fun, I feel so accomplished after a cs4 class. Reform has been a good balance of strength in body and mind. The ladies changing area, sauna and jacuzzi are lovely additions and that give you a bit of a spa feel after your exercise. I'm happy with my membership now especially since there are more class times than what they started with. They could improve by adding more classes on a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday since those days seem to have a minimal offering as compared to the other days. read more

Amazing!! I've been going to Gym's for 40+ years. This is my favorite gym with the most services available. Instruction and classes are/is top-notch. With 5 separate studios teaching classes every hour do you have a choice of CS 4 ( hit program). Spin/ cycle. Boxing. Yoga. Pilates with reformers. And bounce with trampolines. In a year and a half. 547 days I've taken 101 boxing classes, 206 spin classes / cycle, 98 rebound classes 47 reform classes, 113 yoga classes and 220 CS4 classes. All the coaches are motivating, positive and energetic. Music is good too. Using the app and signing up for classes is simple and easy one hour after the class ends, you can sign up seven days into the next week. Notifications of acceptance into a class on a waitlist is sent to you by email so you'll be on time and in the class when the doors close. The Gym Equipment is new and in great condition. New equipment is being changed and added. The new black turf area is fantastic for stretching and the CS4 turf class which I take several times a week. Evan is a fantastic coach. Plenty of cardio machines. A hot dry and wet saunas I use daily, a spa, a 3 lap pool and 7 showers, clean locker room with built in combination locks (no lock is needed) and towel service which includes workout towels, large shower towels, and cold eucalyptus towels to wipe down after a sweaty class. So cool. I give her the highest reviews. And the rehab center is amazing cryotherapy, red light therapy, aqua massage, handheld massage machines, "Normatec" compression leg, shoulder and hip sleeves, and great customer service. Oh, and did I mention this smoothies are delicious at the "Beaming" bar. A founding member I don't see myself leaving for many more years. I waited a few months to fully assess this club before writing my review. Here are my thoughts. This is a luxe gym environment - great variety of classes although they fill up quickly. You will find that very often, you will need to get in off of the waitlist, esp if you do not sign up right when classes open (one week in advance). Machines are always available and the gym is never too crowded. The facility is so well maintained, you always see employees walking around and wiping, gathering and refilling towels. I love group classes so this gym is the perfect match for me. It gives me my group classes, but adds variety rather than joining OTF or a pilates studio. I also have the opportunity to use the machines if I want to take a break or before or after my group classes. I have used the sauna, steam room and showers once and it was nice, but I mostly go for quick workouts. Pilates and CS4 are my jam, my fave instructors for pilates are Jacinthe, Tedde and Toni and for CS4 Max, Katrina and Jacob. Veesta is my fave yoga instructor! For the price, this is comparable to unlimited studio classes with an individual studio, but again you get the variety. If you are just using the gym, this is way over priced. If you take 2 studio classes a week plus use the gym, this is a steal of a deal. Membership is month of month and you need to quit one month in advance. I like that it does not tie you to a year or more. I joined with my family so we all get a little bit of a discount with the family membership. Club Studio is my sanctuary and I highly recommend. My family joined here since it's been open. Very clean. Prices were reasonable when we joined as family but not sure now. All I have to stay it's worth what you get if you come to gym regularly. New modern equipment. Very frequently staff. I love this place. My sons favorite part of the gym is indoor basketball court. It's clean and always has friendly people you can pleat pick up game with. My wife and love taking the classes together. So far, we tried CS4 (circuit training), boxing and yoga. We love Kara as instructor for CS4 usually early Sunday morning. Karlee is fabulous boxing usually Saturday morning. Haylee for yoga usually Thursday morning. I love these instructors because they are supportive, informative and motivate you to stay healthy. This is probably one of the better public gyms that I have been to. The Irvine location kinda sucks though because of the amount of people parking wise. I almost have to park on the opposite side of the plaza lol. It's really difficult getting into a class because they're always full. Favorite cycle instructor here is probably Tami. Lots of gym equipment to use, and definitely less crowded than other public gyms thats for sure. It's pretty good for a one stop shop. They have pilates, cycle, boxing, hot yoga, and HIIT all in one spot. Free weights, machines, and cardio equipment is also there too. read more

I really do love Club Studio. I wasn't very into workout classes before. I actually joined Club Studio because I wanted to use the gym, the sauna, and a steam room. I really like the facilities there. However, one day I took a yoga class and had such a great experience that I kept signing up for classes. Now, my daily ritual is Going to a class at Club Studio and if I can't fit a class in, I really miss it. I've done yoga in the past, so I started with yoga with Haley, Jen and my absolute favorite instructor Jacinthe. Then I decided to take a boxing class, and I absolutely loved it. Katrina and Sarah are amazing. I can't say enough about how great the instructors are. They Absolutely made me fall in love with taking classes. The class I am most excited to try is reform/Pilates with Chloe! The vibes are absolutely fantastic at Club Studio. My husband and I decided to do the recovery room. We've met so many of the staff who have helped us learn about cryotherapy, red light therapy, and how compression therapy helps recovery. I know that people have a hard time signing up for classes here, but once you understand how the system works, you can get any class that you want. Absolutely 0 stars for customer service, I truly feel like the employees here besides the instructors hate people. They're so cold and rarely ever do their basic job duty to greet people when they come/leave. There's zero empathy when you talk to them about any concerns, they brush it off with the same script I'm sure management gives them. Club studio needs to make modules about customer service etiquette for their employees. But, even then they might be too hopeless to understand what being kind means. 5 stars for the instructors especially Toni, Debbie, Tedde, Amanda, Tami, Max, Karlee, Holly, and Hedi. Truly the only reason why I keep my membership. It is a nice and cleaner gym than most of the older ones in the area and for a "founding member" my dues make it a worthy price for the unlimited classes. However, the sauna and steam room are constantly out of order and it takes weeks sometimes to service. They open at 5am which makes it hard for anyone who has to get to work by 7am. Parking is always chaos 3pm-7pm. They may have expanded the weights area but often times there's a personal training session or group session that takes up a lot of space during prime time making it difficult to get a full split workout in. The showers have gotten very unsanitary lately and they definitely don't refill the bottles with whatever it was on the label anymore. The vanity area in the women's restroom gets so packed sometimes it's impossible to get ready that I rather just leave the gym a sweaty mess than attempt to make space for myself. What were they thinking with only 4 seats?? Overall, great gym if you don't talk to any of the employees, are able to book classes, and come during the periods where everything works properly. read more

This is a review of one instructor, not the gym itself. I cancelled my membership because of Patrick, a boxing INSTRUCTOR (he's not a proper coach -- you can tell by his lack of professionalism and lack of boxing experience.) His approach was overly aggressive and uncomfortable, making what should have been an empowering workout feel stressful and unpleasant. One of the biggest issues was his use of paddle mitts to hit people's legs if he felt they weren't moving enough. Instead of motivating, it felt intrusive and unnecessary. Between rounds, we were required to keep moving--whether pendulum stepping or another exercise--but when I was simply shifting back and forth while reading the round instructions, he singled me out. Rather than understanding that people learn differently, he mocked me, saying, "Is the TV the most interesting thing you've ever seen? I'm going to make you do burpees." I process information by reading, not just by listening, but instead of being supportive, he turned it into a power trip. When I didn't immediately do what he wanted and continued reading the screen, he became passive-aggressive. During the following rounds, he stood uncomfortably close to me, deliberately invading my space and refusing to move, making it clear that he was asserting control. It felt less like coaching and more like domination--his way of punishing me for not blindly following his commands. During bear crawls, he took it to another level--roaring loudly and getting in people's faces, yelling at them. It felt more like a boot camp nightmare than a fitness class. There's a fine line between tough coaching and outright intimidation, and he repeatedly crossed it. A good instructor should push and challenge you while still fostering a positive environment. Instead, his methods were aggressive, condescending, and ultimately the reason I left the gym. If you're looking for a space where you feel supported and motivated, I'd recommend going to an actual COACH (that is motivating, patient, and experienced) like Karlee -- who actually knows what she is doing while being inspiring. read more

Came for the guest pass, stayed for the gym, amenities, and amazing instructors! When my preferred spin studio shuttered its doors and moved to a further location, I followed Tami T to the Club. The first time I came the staff was so friendly and inviting. Multiple people offered to take us around on a tour and answer any questions we might have or help with anything we needed. I'll be honest, there was a bit of a sticker shock when I first signed up, but the facility, amenities (and there's a lot), classes, and most importantly the instructors are worth it. Tami is one of my favorite spin instructors. She brings so much energy to every class and each ride really is a party in the club. I leave each time feeling stronger and proud of the work she pushes to put in for ourselves. The class is friendly for riders of all skill levels and Tami always makes herself available before and after class to answer any questions or take a selfie for the gram! My one con for spin is the bikes don't track your power so you do everything by feel (as a cyclist I like the stats), but this does mean that you're less likely to over-exert yourself in an attempt to race someone else in the class. While spin has been my primary form of exercise, boxing with Katrina is quickly become a fan favorite. She works you hard but you feel like a baddy walking out. The awesome thing about the club is there's so many classes offered at so many times throughout the day. If your go-to happens to fill up you get the opportunity to try something different with someone new. It keeps your routine from getting boring and prevents you from falling into that rut that leads to not showing up for yourself. Do yourself a favor and check of the Club! read more

Despite the mixed reviews I read about Club Studio and the membership experience, I took the leap of faith to buy their premiere membership (extra cost at $250/month) to experience the classes they offer. As a fitness junkie, I've been to more than a dozen gyms and studios in Orange County and around the US. Never before have I seen a gym / studio treat their members like this. I made the tough decision today to cancel my membership, and here is why: Firstly -- A few weeks ago, I specifically bought the premiere membership at $250 a month so that I can book the classes I want to take. Today another member and I arrived on the dot for the 3/31 Pilates class at 11:00am, but a female staff member at the door already gave the spot to three people on the waitlist -- This is despite the front desk telling the female staff member at the door that we were entering the Pilates class. We were not even late to the class, and the female staff member still refused to let us take the class. Secondly -- At every other gym or studio I've been to or am a member of, you're able to pause your membership for the exact days you are sick, on vacation, or traveling for work. At Club Studio, you have to pay $50 to pause your membership, and you can only pause it based on the billing date - therefore you cannot pause your membership unless you're gone for more than a month. Until management changes their policies on freezing memberships, and most importantly, until they honor premiere members who show up on time for class, I will not renew my membership, and I strongly advise people from buying a membership as there are other gyms and studios in Orange County who treat their members better. It's a real shame as there are some staff members and instructors who are wonderful. read more

I'm a regular gym go-er and am at Club Studio 5x/week. I take classes on all 5 days that I'm there - Pilates, spin, yoga, and box. The gym itself is very clean. I see the employees regularly cleaning up towels and wiping down the water area. There's no "gym smell" like at other gyms, it smells very clean. For spin, I love taking classes with Lauren. She gets me sweating! I'm sure the other instructors are good as well, but I love Lauren. I love all her playlists! She's had theme nights where it's only one genre, but on most nights it's EDM and the high BPM really helps when you're tired. I was super nervous my first time as I've never taken spin before but she helped me from the get go. For yoga, I really appreciate Hayley. I've taken yoga before, but I've never felt so held, so loved, and so seen as I do when I take her classes. It's such an opening experience. For Pilates, I adore Toni. She makes me want to cry every class because she kicks my ass lol I'm new to Pilates and she was so helpful and really pushes me. I love that she concentrates a lot on core and glutes. I take box with Patrick. He's so helpful and really gets me pumped during class! He pushes me and makes class very enjoyable. No matter what instructor, all of them are great at Club Studio! I became a member when Club Studio was barely beginning. And in February, I cancelled my membership. First of all, I believe that the price they are offering is too expensive. I have friends who also attended this gym and cancelled their membership. Here are the pros and cons of this gym. Pros: -The gym is very empty after 7-8pm, which is awesome because you can enjoy every machine. - The basketball court is amazing! - The showers are great, they provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash. They offer lockers and towels for you and there is a hair dryer too if needed. - The employees are very nice and attentive. - The gym classes are intense, but very fun. Great workouts! Cons: - Some classes were difficult to get because they are booked about 2 weeks in advance. - I was upset that I booked a class that was full and was put on a waitlist that was about 2 weeks ahead of time, then I suddenly get an email the day of that the class is available for me, and I had to cancel it because I was not in the area and I was charged a fee. - The gym is crowded between 4-7pm. - There was no shampoo for a couple of days in the showers. - Some tvs on the treadmills weren't working. - Gym membership is very expensive. I got a great rate because my husband and I signed up as a founding member. (We pay $170 for 2 ppl) However, after almost 2 years we have decided to cancel our membership. First, it's almost impossible to get classes. Everything is waitlisted. I don't always have the foresight to sign up for classes a week before when the booking page opens! Not only that - but classes like yoga are as packed as a can of sardines. I don't want to be two inches from another sweaty body. I can rarely use the sauna because it's always packed with people who are fully clothed coming from class (I don't think this is sanitary). Lastly, the management isn't too friendly and they don't run the place well. All my friends who go there complain about this too. First off, I opted for this gym membership because I can go to Pilates/yoga and lift all in the same place. This has been so convenient for me since I was using class-pass and would drive from different studios to a gym. I'm excited to try out the other classes as well. Being able to book classes in advance has made my life so much easier and it forces me to get up. I would have to agree with many of the reviews on here. Although this is a nice looking gym, it's not amazing. For the price they charge their members, I expect more. The lockers, showers, and bathrooms could be cleaned more often. The wipes used could be better-- sometimes I wonder if the wipes are actually sanitizing wipes. Nevertheless, I do my part to clean up everything before and after I touch it. The yoga room SMELLS SO BAD! Especially since the classes are heated and all the body odor is marinating in that room. It becomes difficult to do my breathing exercises without gagging on the odor. Please add essential oils in the rooms!! The yoga classes are pretty cramped as well if it's full. For yoga, you'd expect a lot of room to stretch freely but I find myself having to dodge the wall or my neighbor constantly. As for Pilates, I've thoroughly enjoyed the classes I've been taking. Luckily, I've taken classes before so I understand the foundation and have decent posture during the exercises but there are many beginners in the classes and the instructors don't help fix them at all!! This is soo dangerous! The instructors need to guide better. Not just having us do the exercises and moving onto the next class. I know I appreciate being corrected so I don't hurt myself. These classes are meant to improve our health and strength. Working with Ty was great. We bought our club membership in the summer before their grand opening and locked in one of their promo pricing. I was paying the additional family add on of $60. Just imagine how poorly run this gym is for me to give up that price and cancel. The boutique fitness class offerings under one roof is the sole reason I joined but why bother paying when you can't even reserve a class? Their booking system is bizarre. They release their class times one week ahead plus 1 hour. For example, to book a reform class next week Monday at 11am, you'd have to be ready on your app a week before on a Monday at 12pm. Even then, good luck because all the spots are reserved before my app can even refresh. You could spend all day trying to book a class because it's released one by one. That's just too much headache and I've got other things to do. They know the group class concept is their bread and butter and yet for example, they allocated a small space of 12 machines for reform. Either add more times or add another room for more classes. I rarely see the pool or basketball court utilized. I believe this gym hired too many friends of friends rather than people who have experience with running a group fitness studio. There are other issues with management that will just take too long to mention here. I also echo one of the reviews on here that says class spots are being saved for influencer types. Very much possible since within nano nano nano seconds of a class being released it's full. I wish they would focus on improving their app, scheduling system, and management/instructor quality instead of putting their effort in cute "instagrammable" spots and bringing in "influenzas" to the gym. Agree with another reviewer, the raving reviews are pretty entertaining given how polar opposite they are of the complaints everyone else has -- can't help but wonder if they are friends since it seems they're also pretty good at blocking complainers on social media, too. I'm positive a great review will pop up after mine. Finally, Club Studio is under LA Fitness and at the end of the day they operate like LA Fitness with the guise of a new subsidiary brand name. Update: I've already canceled my membership. I still am able to use it through March so I tried to get on a waitlist for some cycle classes. Only to be notified BY EMAIL that I got a spot at MIDNIGHT. I was already sleeping and wake up at 8am to then cancel it because I already had booked classes elsewhere with ClassPass (highly recommend). I now got charged $20 dollars because I was canceling after the grace period........ who is awake at midnight to check their emails??? Seems like a scam to me!! They thought this would be beneficial for the members, but I think they did to to just be able to charge people all these fees. I've only been here twice since they opened still and did not get my moneys worth. If you are interested in trying different types of workouts, cycle, Pilates, yoga, boxing... TRY CLASSPASS!! much cheaper and you're guaranteed a spot even the day of the classes. read more

C.S. really knows how to make you feel special but beyond that love that I am improving my health. The studio is beautiful, clean, has new equipment, and parking is easy to find most of the time. I primarily take pilates classes as my workout of choice. I became a CS member because prices were inline with other pilates studios but I would also have the opportunity to take other types of classes (boxing, circuit training) and amenities (massage tables, swim, sauna). Classes can get full fast but I've signed up for waitlist and gotten into the class most of the time. Tedde is my favorite pilates instructor. It's easy to see how much Tedde cares and the effort she brings to teaching a great class each and every time. Tedde is motivational, gives great cues, and explains each move and why/how it works the muscles and what benefit you'll get out of it. She's so good at it that time flies when you take her class. I'm hesitant to give her such a good review because her classes usually book up fast but she totally deserves the recognition for being a top notch pilates instructor. CS has many many great instructors and I'm glad they understand that is a big factor in the quality of the classes and why we all keep coming. read more

Updated review: Moving up to 2 stars! :) I was finally able to get a class after trying for 5 days (since the 1/16 changes mentioned in the attached photo). Class bookings are still awful, with almost NO classes available even though the gym made a bunch of changes. At the time of this review, there were 6 TOTAL classes available for booking, with all classes being morning classes. This is for the entire week out (you can only book a week in advance). All afternoon and evening classes are fully booked. The basketball court is under-utilized and should be converted to accommodate more classes. Also, classes in the afternoon start at 4:30pm and go to 6:30pm. Why not add 3pm class, 7pm and 8pm classes? Friday classes end at noon. We'll be cancelling our membership shortly if things do not improve! read more

Club studio is amazing! I've been to a lot of gyms in the past including Equinox and you can definitely that the thought and effort put into this club. First of all, it is nowhere near as pretentious as some of the more expensive gyms. People here are willing to talk with you and you can make so many friends through taking classes. Towel service is included, the gym floor, class studios, racks and weights, locker room, and general facilities are all kept spotless, and there are amenities everywhere you look. The best part about this gym though, is the classes. For one membership price, you get access to high quality studio classes such as Cycling, Yoga, Pilates, Boxing, CS4, and Trampoline that are on par with or even better than boutique classes like Rumble, Corepower, Grit, or Cyclebar. The instructors also make all of the difference with their immense enthusiasm, knowledge and skill while they teach and help you achieve your fitness goals. If you're thinking about joining Club Studio on Alton Pkwy in Irvine for the classes, don't do it! They advertise that you'll have access to all classes, but that's far from the truth. Most classes have very limited spots, and even if you try to reserve a week in advance, everything is already on the waitlist. The only classes that are somewhat available are ride classes, but everything else is nearly impossible to book. It's extremely frustrating to pay for a membership expecting access to classes, only to find out that you can't even get in. If you're joining for the classes, look elsewhere! read more

Classes are great, but hard to get into. Customer service is definitely lacking. Front desk is friendly and that's where it ends twice. I've been charged for classes. I didn't sign up for and they refused to waive the $15 charges. I've been here since the club opened and I've given my notice to go to a place that's much more customer focused. Brand new build out - new equipment, towel service inclusive, new facility including swimming pool, sauna, steam room, boxing class, HIIT studio, trampoline, Pilates, yoga classes etc. The staff is friendly as well and parking is manageable. Why not 4 or 5 stars you ask? Well it's because the classes are never available to sign up for. Either people game the system and sign Up for a bunch of classes and don't show - the app always says waitlist. I don't see this problem being solved even with the new no show charge and changes to the app. My wife and I have checked for glasses roughly 3-4 times a week since they opened and have only been able to book twice. That's an incredibly low probability as they've been open for almost a month. If you are joining because you want to do classes you may have a better chance at LA fitness or equinox which are the two gyms I quit to come here. It's an expensive membership (if just for free weights and towel service) unless they figure out a way to accommodate more guests for classes. But if more people join then it's the same problem all over again. We were waitlisted once again today- incredibly frustrating. Imagine going to the gym every time and not knowing if you're going to do a class or may just have to do your own workout with the expectation of taking a class. It's a waste of time and mental energy. If they do fix the class booking issue then it's a 5 star review no doubt. Update 1/28/23 so the club studio team has made some changes to the class booking system and policy. Since my initial review I've been lucky enough to get into a couple classes a week either by booking on the app or by showing up early, getting wait listed and eventually getting in. While there's been a marked improvement, I'd like to see even more accessibility. So here's an upgrade to 4 stars with the optimism that this gets even better. read more

Rude staff. I was using the cycling studio during non class hours. Coming from equinox and lifetime this was never an issue. The staff in question, Olivia, was really off putting asking me if I was a member and need to follow the rules of the gym and needed to exit the room immediately. Aka Gym Karen. Like girl you are the first person who had an issue with this. In other situations I have had pleasant encounters with staff while using the cycling room and they never told me I was breaking any rules. Anyways, I have been a member since grand opening on December 2022 and cancelled my gym membership today. Also recently issues with towel service, dirty jacuzzi, broken dry sauna. Hopefully things get better here! read more
