First time going to a CorePower Yoga location, and this studio was really nice! I was welcomed right away by the employees and checked in. They showed me around the place and I was told which studio room I was in. I like that they offer mat rentals and towel rentals in case you forget either of these items. I did my first ClassPass class in Studio 2. Super spacious room and lots of people attended. The room is at a moderate temperature and I did Yoga Sculpt with Lexus. We were instructed to have 2 sets of weights and I picked the lightest two (3 lbs and 5 lbs) since it was my first time taking the class. Lexus was a really good instructor. She gave lots of progressions throughout the whole thing and I liked that we had a full body workout. Imagine doing hot yoga with weights. I honestly was sweating LOTS afterwards, so make sure to bring a towel. I really enjoyed the class and I would definitely go again. I went on a weekday mid morning class, so this was perfect if you have a break in the mornings from work or right before your lunch break. Convenient, hours are good. Classes are good. I like the sculpt class, it feels like a real good workout. The prices are a bit high but given everything around, I guess its fair. Been a corepower member on and off for many years. There's a lot other studios around, but I feel the easiness of booking, classes available, and times they are open, it makes it worth keeping the membership for now. I've been to a few yoga studios, and this one immediately stood out for feeling relaxed and not pretentious. I came through their free week trial and will definitely continue once I renew my class pass membership. During the two classes I attended, there was zero pushy or marketing-style conversations. Everything felt organic, almost like I was already a regular. There isn't any overt guidance, so if it's your first time you may want to directly ask them your questions. The heated yoga sculpt classes were a great balance: challenging enough to be a solid, sweaty workout without feeling over-the-top. There were plenty of weights and blocks available (just bring your own mat).I also appreciated the lack of strict rules around doors, coming and going, or outfits. It felt very welcoming and low-pressure. The room had a beautiful lake view, though it's fairly bright if you prefer darker or UV-lit class environments. I love Corepower because they have classes of all levels and I can normally find a class to go to any day of the week including holidays. This has helped me start to get back in shape without constantly hurting and the instructors are awesome. The one area of concern is the pricing but I can't find a place where I can get classes almost any time of day so it's still worth the price for me. read more

They increased ALOT of the members rates by 30%. They say it is inflation (bad excuse). They don't pay their instructors well, they have had sooooo many cancelled classes. Limited fusion classes at Woodbridge bc they don't have instructors. This is ridiculous. Ra yoga is offering unlimited for 110.00. read more

I've never sweat so much in my life and felt good about it afterwards! Love the classes here, especially the free ones. Instructors are always nice and give detailed guides. This location is not the greatest. The windows open to the back patio of the plaza and you can see people outside and sometimes people look into the classes and theyre just staring as we're doing yoga. Seems very uncomfortable when there are people outside looking in. My husband and I also received poor customer service from corporate core power as well. We froze our accounts because we would be out of town for awhile. Apparently, Corepower can automatically unfreeze your account without telling you and will attempt to charge your credit card for the next monthly membership amount eventhough we never unfroze our account. They will refuse to give you credit for the month that you paid even though you havent even taken any classes. They just seem money hungry and don't care about their customers satisfaction. Plenty of other hot yoga places around, take your money somewhere else that actually cares. read more

I came here after work and took the C2 class at 6:30. No issues with parking because it's a big lot. This is my first time back at core power (last time was several years ago in Huntington Beach), and first time at this location. C2 is basically the vinyasa style flow which is my favorite type. The room does get pretty hot more so than other yoga studios I've been to. There's also lots of room compared to ra yoga which is a plus. The C2 flow with the instructor (I forgot his name) was easier than I was used to- maybe 6/10 level for intermediate yogis. The hardest thing was probably side crow (parsva Bakasana). The changing rooms, lockers, and showers were really nice and clean though which is a plus. There's also shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided and lotion too! You can also borrow a towel and lock from the front desk if you need it. I'll probably come back and try the other C2 instructors after work. read more

I've been going to this gym for over a year now and I love it. It's not as packed as other locations that I have been to. But be sure you get there early. All the trainers that I have taken are amazing! Though sucks, but be weary of your belongings. I left a Stanley cup after a night class and someone stole it before I could get to it the next morning. I had high hopes since it's a nice gym and area (don't usually have this issue in Irvine). I usually don't lock my things up but now I will be. read more

Signed up for my first outdoor class at CorePower Yoga Woodbridge last night. I had been to this center before, so I knew where to park, but for first-timers, it's on the side with Grocery Outlet. I walked to the front of the studio to find the lights on but no one at the front desk and the doors locked. Luckily, I got there early, and a kind gentleman carrying a yoga mat pointed me around the building to a small grassy area in front of Sessions West Coast Deli. I saw that a few other yogis were already set up, so I put down my things. I realized that the gentleman who had directed me was coming out from behind the deli, and he informed me that I needed to go there to check-in. I walked over to what I realized was the back entrance of the studio, and was greeted by the instructor, who acquainted me with the equipment for class. Apparently I had signed up for a sculpt class (whoops!) and needed two sets of weights and a headset. This differed from the "no props" class that I expected, but I was happy to try something new. There were about 10 of us in class, spread out over 6 feet apart as marked by cones. It was cold, but the fast-paced, heart-pumping cardio of the sculpt class warmed us up quickly. This is not your traditional yoga class - it felt more like HIIT with a few yoga posed sprinkled in. Needless to say, I was exhausted, but it was fun to try something new! Pros: Headsets are awesome - everyone has their own silent disco going on, yet can still hear the instructor. Outdoor setup is great, social distancing and masks are enforced at all times. I was a little worried about using props provided by the studio, but saw their comprehensive cleaning setup afterward which put my fears at bay. Cons: Finding where to go was confusing for a first timer. There were no signs on the studio door, nor arrows pointing to the grassy area, so I was lost without my helpful classmate. Furthermore, no one answered the phone which didn't help matters. There is a sign on the grassy area gates, but it doesn't tell you where to go for check-in. All in all, I enjoyed my experience and would recommend this studio. See you on the mat! read more

Went on a yoga date with my best friend today and we loved it! The energy from the staff was so welcoming. The studio is so beautiful and clean. We absolutely loved the Hot Yoga Fusion class. It was super toasty and challenging enough for us to really feel like we got a good workout in! Our instructor Sophia was amazing! Calming but strong instruction with great flow. I was really struggling to get back in shape after having two babies and I signed up on a whim since I live nearby. I have since caught the bug, starting out with a class package and then getting a monthly membership. It might sound like hyperbole, but seriously, coming here regularly has changed my life. I feel stronger, calmer, and more grateful! I have taken the C2 and Yoga Sculpt classes, I hope to eventually build up to the strength training class and C3. I love how flexible scheduling is with multiple classes offered throughout the day and a wide variety of teaching styles. Studio is really clean and well maintained. It's in a busy plaza and while the parking lot is crowded during peak hours, have never had an issue finding parking. They are strict about being on time if that is a deal breaker but I think it is a fair policy since it cuts down on distractions and classes start promptly. read more

I've been a member of CPY for well over 10 years. I've been a yogi for 25 years. This studio has a big problem with enforcing basic courtesies, most notably Cell Phones. I have to personally ask other students inside the classroom to take their phones out of the yoga room and even tell people to not make phone calls. This happens EVERY time I attend an evening class. This is a growing problem that Core Power Yoga Woodbridge needs to address better. Suggested methods would be to remind every student when they check in to leave their cell phones outside of the studio. There are signs posted in the bathrooms. There are signs posted on the doors into the studios, but yet people continue to just disregard the basic common courtesy of not bringing the phone into the studio and someone needs to do something about it. Since it's near to impossible to reach someone on the phone to discuss this, I chose this method to try to get someone's attention. Please get this resolved. read more

Worst experience ever. Period. SHAWNA, the "teacher" is the most inconsiderate and rude yoga instructor instructor I HAVE EVER HAD. I've been practicing for over 8 years at core power and it only took me two classes to realize that teaching and guiding yoga is not for everyone. She's a BULLY. I witnessed it first hand the first class I went to (mission viejo)when she selectively went around and snatched people's personal belongings/bags while THEY WERE IN CHILDS POSE!! While people were in that vulnerable position she took their stuff with very little explanation and or a RUDE one and placed it outside the class, out in the open for anyone to potentially take without anyone knowing. To be clear, these weren't just "Gym bags". These were women purses, men's wallets, and, for those who have their car controlled by their phone, their car keys as well. Again to be clear, she did this selectively - I know this because the first time i had my bag with me she didn't touch it but took the bag from two other people around me. Rightfully so, they were taken aback by how brazen and brutish she was. The lady next to me got up and walked out and didn't come back. This was at the MSSION VIEJO location where she teaches often. A few weeks later (Feb 2024) I went to the WOODBRIDGE location where I have often gone (always with my same YOGA bag which carries my towel, yoga block, keys and wallet). She was in the class chatting with a couple people fore class started and could have easily asked people with bags if they would consider moving them out BUT SHE DIDNT. Again, like before, she waited until everyone started their practice and got into the MOST VULNERABLE POSITION (child's pose) before she went around SELECTIVELY SNATCHING PEOPLES BAGS AGAIN. That day it was my turn to be TARGETED AND BULLIED apparently. she went for my bag and I tried to resist but she picked it up so abruptly that I didn't have a chance, as I got up to follow her and tell her I had my valuables in there she kept IGNORING ME. Literally get like I was being pranked. I kept trying to explain to her that my towel, car keys, and wallet are in there and I don't want my belongings out in the open, SHE LITERALLY KEPT WALKING AWAY FROM ME LIKE I WASNT EVEN THERE. As to not make a scene for everyone else in their practice I picked up my things and left. I noticed as well when I did that two other practitioners who had their bags snatched also did the same - they left class as SHAWNA RUINED THEIR PRACTICE. As I left I voiced my concern to the manager who was on duty. I asked her point blank "WOULD CORE POWER TAKE LIABILITY ON ANY OF MY BELONGINGS IF THEY WERE STOLEN FROM WHERE SHE HAD PLACED THE BAGS AFTER THEY WERE SNATCHED BY SHAWNA?" To which she replied "NO". So to be clear you have an instructor who BULLIES students and takes their personal belongings away from them only to place them out in the OPEN where anyone leaving the class next door can take it on their way out....AND IF THAT WERE TO HAPPEN CORR POWER WOULD NOT BE LIABLE!!!! Like me, people practice yoga in classes like this because it's supposed to be a SAFE SPACE however in the 8 years that I've been practice at core power and the 15 years that I've been practicing all together, I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE to the point that 1) i am taking time out of my life to write a yelp review, which I rarely do 2) I Will NEVER NEVER NEVER take another class at the Woodbridge or mission viejo location (unless) things change 3) I have already voiced my serious concerns with anyone I know who goes to these locations 4) I am seriously considering canceling my membership altogether. In short: Shawna's class is not a SAFE SPACE and I would recommend those considering taking classes at either location to look at other options if she's the instructor read more

Took my first class and was sweating like never before! It felt amazing! I attended the sculpt class and while the heat was not turned up super high it was a 95-97 degrees, the use of weights and blocks, made the fat seem to melt off! I felt so grounded and refreshed after the work out! The components timed with the music were fun as well! They have mats and towels to rent for $2, or bring your own! read more

For the first time I brought a friend for a class for "bring a buddy" program by CorePower. However it didn't work out cause we can't finish the ID process to add my friend to the system to take the class. that's ok I understand all company has it's policy to follow. But the manager lady at this place did not try to help us solve the issue. Also she made me very uncomfortable cause she was pointing her finger to my friend the whole time. Well I just stopped by this studio for class recently and there have been some recent changes! First thing is first, new location! They moved to the other side of the Woodbridge plaza & unfortunately with all of the construction going on, you can't just walk over from the old location (near barnes & noble) to the new location (near del taco) just yet. Easiest way to get to the new location is if you're coming from Barranca is to turn onto Creek and enter the plaza/parking lot from there. Look for the Del Taco and you should be able to see the corepower signs once you pull into the parking lot. Secondly, although the studio is brand new it has been downsized quite a bit from the previous location. Rather than three full sized studios, this new spot has been downsized to just two studios. Bathrooms/locker rooms have also shrank in size compared to old location. Aside from the downsizing, you just can't beat a brand new location with the fresh paint & clean carpets/floors. Being based in Chicago now a days, it's cool to see two of my favorite instructors still teaching Carolyn & Candice. However, looking at their schedule there's definitely a bunch of new instructors that I don't recognize. Hopefully they're just as great as some of the core instructors at this studio. As always with any Corepower location, they over a free week if you've never been to try their classes. For beginners, I'd definitely start with their C1 and HPF classes. Once you feel you're getting the hang of it, try the C1.5, C2, & C3 classes accordingly. And if you feel like throwing in some weights with it, Sculpt is the way to go. Bring a mat, towel, and bottle of water a minimum. They do have showers with soap, shampoo, & conditioner if you feel you can't wait until getting home to clean off. I have been a member of CorePower for many years and unfortunately this particular studio has really gone down. Almost none of the classes are heated anymore. It seems like they are turning on the heat, but after the halfway point of class the instructor fans out the room by opening the doors and letting in cold air after almost every posture. It is so frustrating to be trying to build heat and suddenly be hit with very cold air, not to mention that heating the room and then constantly letting in cold air is the least eco-friendly way to have a cool room. This studio really needs to commit to either hot classes or non-heated classes, advertise them as such, and then either keep the heat on and let us enjoy it or turn it off and not waste it. I have been trying to explore new instructors to see if I can find some that I like, but I always leave feeling frustrated that I signed up for a heated class and was literally feeling cold for much of it. In addition to wasting all this electricity by heating the rooms and then masking it with cold air, they also use single use wipes to wipe down the equipment. A fine-must sprayer can easily sanitize all the equipment in just a few minutes, the single use wipes are really unnecessary and super wasteful. I had an incident with retail a few months ago where they overcharged me, admitted it was their mistake, but couldn't care less about fixing it. They never refunded me for what they overcharged and basically just ghosted me. I'm bummed because this is the closest location to my house, but the Tustin studio is so much better. read more

I popped in from out of town at 11:30 yesterday to purchase a few clothing items for yoga, and the staff at the front desk went above and beyond normal customer service. They were so helpful and fast, and the studio was clean and welcoming! I think the woman that helped me was Holly, she has just taught a yoga sculpt and was still friendly! My daughter loves the classes there even over the fashion island location because the classes here are not overcrowded and the instructors are so friendly. Signed up for an introductory week and came to my first class. I was coming from another appt and walked in at 1:32pm. The teacher who opened the door looked me up and down and said rudely "you're late." No "hello," or "welcome." Way to make a first impression of the studio. I apologized and explained that I was coming from another appt but she said that the company policy is to not let anyone one if they're 3 mins late. I explained that this is my first time and wasn't aware of this, but instead being warm and welcoming she just continued to insist that it's the company policy. Ironically this was a day date for my husband and I and he was already at the studio and had a spot saved for me. But she wouldn't let me in... so I won't be coming back. There are plenty of wonderful yoga studios with kind and welcoming instructors/front office staff. read more

Corepower has the most locations of any hot yoga studio in OC This location on Barranca in Irvine offers, plenty of convenient parking. It is located in the back of the Woodbridge plaza. It is not on the same side as the theater, but in the back of the plaza. If you are near Irvine, Corepower is extremely convenient. They have so many studios in OC, so there is always a time and location that will suit your schedule. Sculpt is the best class that Corepower offers in my option because I like a really good workout. This class is not as hot as the other classes, but they incorporate cardio and weights into the class. Hot fusion is my second favorite. This class gets realllly hot. They focus more on poses in the HOT room. Yoga 2 is more relaxing and an okay workout. I've taken a couple of classes at this studio. I took Vinny's sculpt class and it kicked my butt! Great workout! Another excellent workout was with Heather. She instructs a 75 minute sculpt class offered Sunday at 7am. This was the BEST class ever! You basically do 2 sets of everything that the normal sculpt does and it focuses on the abs. It was the best workout ever, but I was sore for a couple of days. HAPPY WORKING IT!! read more

I love love love CorePower Yoga, and how they have so many different studios everywhere. I often frequent this location because I come up to work in Irvine often. The best part about CorePower is how flexible they are with their classes. They have so many different classes throughout the day so they're able to work with everyone's hectic schedule. This location is located in the Woodbridge Plaza near the Lost Bean, Sessions, Grocery Outlet store and the Rush Cycle studio. Whenever I've come all the instructors were very sweet, hospitable and guided me through the class. Shawna, Cassie and Cindy were awesome instructors and I'm always excited to try someone new whenever I take a class. I love how they're all hands on but they respect your space if you want to be left alone. Thank you for always leading me through such an amazing class. I always leave feeling so relaxed while building up a sweat. Along with that, their studio is impeccable. Their yoga studios are beauty, the locker rooms are always cleaned and stocked with all the amenities that you'd possibly need. I love how you can even borrow a lock if you forgot yours! I alternate between this location and the Tustin Marketplace location based on times and teachers. I love the amount and variety of classes - they have so many time slots that it is easy to find one that fits with your schedule. I also like the consistency of Corepower and just knowing what to expect every time. All their classes are wonderful, and I'll pick one based on how my body is feeling on a particular day - I'll rotate between Hot Power Fusion (reminds me of Bikram/Hatha yoga), C2 (basically a Power Vinyasa class in a heated room), and Sculpt (yoga flows with weights). The quality of your classes and experience is highly dependent on teachers... and I wholeheartedly recommend Dulce, Whitney, and Heather's classes. read more

Had such a bad experience here today. They had way too many people come this morning to the point where there was barely enough room for the people that arrived. I came with my friend and we arrived 10 minutes before the yoga class but ended up not having enough space for just me. The lady who was teaching the class proceeded to tell me that they were full and SAID I HAD TO LEAVE because it would be a hazard to have too many people, when they could've clearly fit me in had she told a row of people to put their mats closer together. At that point, her friend came in the room in the doorway I was standing at and she told her friend to just squeeze into one of the rows in the middle. Fantastic customer service, am I right? So I guess her friend isn't a hazard but I am right??? Her reasoning was that he was a fellow instructor! Oh that makes it better! Thanks! My friend usually goes to another location in New York and she was telling me how fun it was there, where they actually have sign ups! Where you actually sign! Up! Before hand to avoid what happened this morning! What a novel idea. Too bad I got kicked out before I could even try. AT THE END OF THE DAY, don't expect them to put you over themselves, because that's the kind of customer "service" they clearly believe in.
