This was my second time trying Cluck'n Wings, a newer spot in Ravenswood/Lincoln Square. I love wings, and since they serve halal food, I wanted to check them out. I'm not halal myself, but I appreciate supporting diverse dining options. Ordering online was easy though pricy--my four buffalo wings with ranch were ready in 15 minutes and were just over $12 (before tip). Pickup was simple, the staff were friendly, and I even got a bonus fifth wing. There were a few tables inside, but I chose takeout. The wings were jumbo and meaty, but the heavy breading and sauciness made them soggy rather than crispy--just not my preference. If you like thick, saucy breading, you might enjoy them. The first time I placed a takeout order, I unfortunately got sick afterward. The owner reached out and genuinely wanted to make things right, which I appreciated. That's why I decided to give them another chance on my own time and dime and order the same exact meal--I believe a business should be judged by how it handles situations, not just by one-off issues, which can happen anywhere. This time, I didn't get sick! While the wings weren't my style, Cluck'n Wings has friendly service, easy ordering, and fills a niche. If you're looking for halal wings with a saucier, breaded style, it's worth a try. read more

Great halal certified location. Large portions for The Box which comes with a chicken burger a large chicken tender and fries. Have tried all the sauces and they are very delicious. The maple gold burger is my favorite since it's similar to a chicken and waffles vibe. Definitely a come back spot for fried chicken. read more

The wings are meaty, crispy, saucy, and DELICIOUS! We ordered the Wednesday BOGO deal and got 16 wings for $20! The flavors we ordered were Honey sriracha (topped with sesame seeds) and maple gold (topped with GOLD FLAKES. The wings literally shimmered.) They were ready and warm at pickup. Came with the family for lunch. There was 5 of us. Owner is very friendly and everything is fresh, cooked to order. The battered chicken is so crispy and flavorful. Not drowned is sauces or rubbery. We each ordered a sandwich and shared wings. Portion sizes are big. Place is clean, open, and has a few tables. Water is in a bowl, self serve which we appreciate. Not forced to pay for sugary overpriced drinks, like other places. Nice to see a halal place that values customers with welcoming and cordial staff that serves great food. read more

New restaurant in Ravenswood, very clean, short menu, and upbeat, top 40 music plays in the background from different genres. The gentleman that took our order was very nice. He read the order back to us to make sure he got everything correctly. We had our order to go, so we sat around to wait, didn't take long, I would say about 15 minutes tops. We ordered some of the original clucking chicken burger, one Nashville, two orders of fries and an order of lemon pepper wings. Everything was labeled which is really nice (sometimes you go places and order to go and they don't label the food). The fries are loaded, seriously loaded with all kids of stuff (see menu), the wings definitely tasted lemon peppery and good. My only objection is too much breading. I personally like my fried food "dusted" in breading (too much breading ruins the taste (in my opinion)). The burgers had way too much sauce, to the point that they were falling apart. I would suggest acquiring sturdier bread if so saucy, or scale back on sauce. Food should not be drowned in sauce. Everything is slightly spicy, so sensitive palates beware. Overall, come and support your local restaurants and you be the judge. read more

My family's new favorite spot. It's a lovely and welcoming space and the chicken sandwiches are INSANE. The halal chicken is so moist and delicious and the seasoned breading is delicious. I have a hard time finding the kind of wings I like: big, meaty, and crispy. This place nails it! Very interesting sauce options too, and the patio out back is great this time of year. Also extremely friendly people working there. This is a real hidden gem in the neighborhood. read more

I took a chance on Cluck'N Wings this week, and I was thoroughly impressed. My biggest pet peeve is chicken that doesn't taste like chicken, or is rubbery. THIS IS REAL CHICKEN! You can tell it is fresh, clean, homemade (not processed), and properly prepared. I love the middle eastern influence, especially the spice profile. I got the crispy chicken wrap, no fries, with jalapeños. The jalapeños added the perfect heat and crunch. My daughter loved the chicken tenders and the fries. The sauces are fantastic too, especially the middle eastern garlic yogurt sauce, and the ranch. If I had a complaint, it would only be to the blanch the fries in ice water before frying so they are less starchy, and more crunchy. BUT OVERALL A GREAT MEAL! I plan on returning to peruse the rest of the menu. Also the place was very clean, and well kept. You could tell that the owners care a lot about pristine service, and accommodating costumers. Perfect option for local comfort takeout. Food was what you'd hope for (with generous portions), staff was nice, and place was nice and clean. This place is so delicious. Such a hidden gem too, the back patio is such a great space. On other visits I had the Cluck N sandwich, the chicken tenders and the Buffalo sandwich, they were all juicy & flavorful. The seasoned fries are also really good. Today I picked up an order for takeout since I didn't have time to sit. I ordered the lemon pepper wings and they were excellent, crispy on the outside, great flavor and just so fresh.
