Came here for a late lunch. Excited by the photos and reviews. Ordered the Garlic aoili burger onion rings and pastrami sandwich. The burger is huge, I mean gigantic. 2 smash patties and lettuce, and bacon onions. It was well done and tasted decent. I couldn't eat the whole thing. +You get a lot for your money. I missed the flavor though of a juicy burger with the fat dripping out. The onion rings portion is also huge. Nice batter but hard to test the onions. The staff are quite nice. First off the customer service was on point friendly and courteous, now the sandwiches they were great a little pricey but I don't mind when you get great food. Called ahead for food as I was walking back home from a lunch walk. Saw they had opened up a few months ago and are new to Uptown so wanted to try them out! Super glad I did! I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap (fried chicken option), a whole size turkey club sandwich on wheat bread, a chicken Caesar salad, a side French fry, a kombucha, and a package of blueberries (yes, they carried them lol), and the total after tax was around $53 which I found to be a very good deal considering everything I got and the portion sizes overall were very good. They give a good amount of chicken and meat overall. Was very pleased with the price point, the taste/quality, and the friendly service of this place. Will certainly be back to try more. I was so excited to have a new sandwich place in the neighborhood and CPE did not disappoint. I've been here twice so far; once I got the buffalo chicken (sliced deli meat cold sandwich) and once I got the chicken bacon ranch wrap with fried chicken. I have also had bites of the chipotle fried chicken sandwich. Everything has been so good! They really pile on the protein and the serving sizes are huge for the price. And yes, the pickles you get on the side are delicious as well. Everything is freshly made so sandwiches take a few minutes but it is absolutely worth it. I usually never write a review as soon as I receive or eat the food. Chicago pickle was definitely an exception!! Craving some comfort food during this cold weather and also being late to ordering something to eat for dinner, CP was up to the challenge. Ordering fried mushrooms and jalapeños are always a challenge if the restaurant can't get it right. I can tell you I was lit standing UP eating when my food came with these two items. Didn't even remember I had a whole sandwich and chili tambien! Hahahaha! Perfect jalapeños and the mushrooms which usually don't travel well we're doing just fine! After my snacky frenzy faded a bit I tasted the turkey chili and was not disappointed. My only suggestion would be for us to have the option for onions & cheese to add on for a charge. First off let me say I had eaten here before and the food was excellent and so was the service. My first time the owner was behind the counter and made me feel like family. There was a reason why I came back. However my second go around was a complete disaster. I ordered my food and grabbed a drink from the fridge. The drink needed a bottle opener, the girl behind the counter instead of offering to open my drink sat on the phone chatting with her friend. Oblivious to her customers. I then proceeded to wait 40 minutes for my sandwich, I could see waiting if you had a line out the door but there were only 2 other customers. Again on the phone chatting away to her friend oblivious to her customers. I finally had to ask her about my sandwich which judging how hot it was had been sitting awhile. The sandwich was ok but would have been great had it been served hot. I threw away my garbage and walked out. As I'm walking to my car she pops her head out and proceeds to complain to me I didn't throw away my bottle (which are recyclable) or didn't return my tray to the proper tray area. After that horrible service she has the nerve to complain about me. I guess I cut into her chat time. I honestly don't think someone like her should be in the hospitality or service industry. Like I said before my first visit was awesome the owner could not have been nicer and the food was incredible. THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. through the door 100/10. Customer Service top notch. Food top notch. Everything was crispy hot and fresh. I ordered the BLT wrap with glarlic season fries and my boyfriend ordered the ultimate cheeseburger sub and when i tell you we just looked at eachother in shock. I am not even really a huge fan of bacon but this bacon was thick and tender and you could just tell it was authentic and cooked with love. We also got the fried pickle spears and they were the best fried pickles the both of us can agree we have ever had. the perfect crunch on the outside and the inside of the pickle was perfectly cooked and melted in every bite. even better with ranch!
