Horrible buying experience. I bought a car, and I had 10 days to try and return it if it wasn't what I wanted. It broke down after 3 days, and they lied, saying it was fixed by a mechanic and there were no issues. Stranded an hour from home for 4 hours. I paid for AAA through them. When we called, they didn't have our car on file, so we had to pay to have it towed and find a shop and tow that was available. Clutch did not care and couldn't bother to help us. They left us stranded. I didn't have a car for a week. I live in rural areas with toddlers and need a vehicle. By then, the 10 days were over, and I was out of luck. They provided the bill of sale/title in only my husband's name and the registration in both our names. They knew the whole time, as I have written confirmation that we wanted the car in both our names. We could not register it because every dealership knows the bill of sale has to match the registration. For three weeks, I have not been able to drive the car that I am paying for but cannot use. Clutch SAYS THEY CANNOT PUT THE CAR IN BOTH NAMES; it isn't possible because the loan is only in one name. This is an outright lie, as every vehicle we have purchased has been in both names, even though only one of us signed the loan. I have only been able to drive the car for 7 days and have had to make 3 car payments. They have not reimbursed us for all the monetary losses and the sale of a car that we cannot drive and was clearly unsafe. Clutch is not legit and does not care about its customers' time, money, or safety. Selling a car knowing someone can't legally register it is telling owners to break the law. Go to a car dealership; at least they are accountable, and you can deal with them face-to-face. Where Clutch is also virtual, they can lie and then not deal with you again, and ignore emails and calls. read more
