I was looking for a different place to take my husband for Father's Day and found this place through TikTok. I am so happy I decided this as one of our Father's Day spots. From the outside, you'd never think this neatly crafted distillery was here. It is for sure a neighborhood gem. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. Kisha was working the bar and was very helpful suggesting a drink for us. She asked all the right questions and I selected the hibiscus drink and my husband got the spiced drink (sorry can't remember the names). They were mad with love and perfection. The upstairs of the distillery is uniquely designed and has local art to add to the flavor of the environment. They have the cutest sitting room so you can enjoy your drinks. We purchased a tour and Bruce, the tour guide, added to the atmosphere with his humor and knowledge. During the tour you get to taste all the rums and they are all made with love. You will learn more about it during the tour. The owner, Eric, is also very welcoming and doesn't shy away from his guests. It's definitely a place I would return to purchase rum and also bring my visitors. read more

I stumbled upon this spot after leaving Buffalo Bayou. I must say that i was pleasantly surprised. The staff where friendly and they were more than welcoming. They only have three liquors but they tast pretty good. The place is kinda small but they have a larger open seating area upstairs. We also got to paint our own bottles which was cool. The owner even introduced himself and they have tours every hr. I would recommend as a place to try out. read more

Great rum! I went on their distillery tour and it was very interesting. Aby did a great job describing the rum-making process and how their product is unique. In terms of the rum itself, it is indeed quite unique. Fairly complex flavors while maintaining a reasonable smoothness, I could see myself sipping this stuff on the rocks. Loved my visit to this Black-owned distillery! Upon arrival, we were offered drinks to order at the bar that we could walk around and sip on during our tour. We got the passion rum punch that was made with their in-house rum, which was good! Eric, the owner and founder, & Bruce, our tour guide, were knowledgeable and very engaging during our tour and taste testing. Also, the place was beautiful! Loved the whole set up and aesthetic! Outstanding rum distillery in Houston TX. This place rocks. The owner/distiller is a superb raconteur and passionate about his product. He's of Barbados descent, so rum is in his blood. They have a white and a spiced rum. The spiced rum has a licorice aftertaste. While I'm not a fan of licorice my husband is and enjoyed it. I had the passion fruit rum drink and my husband had the dark and rumy. Both drinks were enjoyable. They are, also, raising money for lupus. They give you fried plantains to enjoy.
