Drop of the Creator is a must visit spot for happy hour, book clubs, meetings, social events, catching up with friends, or simply supporting a local business. I've visited this hidden gem twice. The first time, I was passing by and decided to stop in because I wanted to see exactly what it was all about. My second visit was for an event hosted there, "Pride & Progress". During my first visit, I took the opportunity to try a flight of their in house spirits, including tequila, whiskey, vodka, and gin. They were all great on their own and also worked well in cocktails. I also tried a flight of beers, but unfortunately, they all tasted flat, which was disappointing considering how great the other beverages were. The service during my first visit was amazing. My experience during the second visit wasn't quite as pleasant, but I assumed the difference may have been due to the event taking place and the staff being overwhelmed. Drop of the Creator may look small from the outside, but once you step inside, it's spacious, bright, sophisticated, and beautiful. There are plenty of different areas to gather, making it a great spot for a variety of occasions. I haven't had the opportunity to try their food yet, but I'm definitely looking forward to giving it a try on my next visit. We've been working on getting out here for months! Located in the heart of the Meyerland area, you wouldn't know it existed unless someone told you. Which someone obviously did. A bunch of friends that are local, to be precise. We came out on a Wednesday, which is trivia night. Parking was easy at the time. We arrived, but could get a bit iffy during a rush. The interior is well decorated. The lounge looks very comfortable. We were in the back bar area where the events take place. The bar tenders were really efficient, we didn't wait long for anything. We did t play trivia, but wish we had. The host was hilarious, and the trivia topics were broad. We will definitely be back for this again. Drinks were very good. Average modern day pricing at $12-$15 a drink. Food was also very good, though a little pricey at $18/ 12"pizza. I'm not hating on quality, just a tough bill to swallow. Not sure if there's a happy hour but would totally show up for that. They have their own brand of liquors, and also brew their own beers. Like most breweries in the South, the have lighter fair. No stouts, or the like. The heaviest they make are likely the larger or amber. They have a red as well. I stuck to liquor this trip, but will update with a beer review. Overall great spot, a little pricey but you're also getting good things in a chill area instead of the heights midtown, Montrose, or some other congested inconvenient area (for us outer-loopers). read more

Truly a hidden gem in the Willow Meadows/Meyerland area! Drop of the Creator is a classy but casual spot you'd probably dismiss as another neighborhood dive by the exterior. But the interior is a modern, handsomely decorated space that's great for happy hour with coworkers or a date. There is even a covered patio area that is just as cool and unique. Service was very attentive and friendly. I'm not a beer drinker, and I was pleased to see several cocktails and a full bar available. I tried (in order of my favs) the Cosmo, Rita Refresher, and a Lemon Drop. Overall the drinks were good, but skewed heavily tart/citrus across the board. The Refresher and the Lemon Drop almost tasted too similarly given their citrus profile. When I asked for a sweeter drink, I was recommended the Cosmo, but it was more tart. My coworkers seemed to really enjoy their beers. The pizza and pretzels were basic, but good. Honestly, the ambiance was the best part of the experience. I don't think there are very many if any bars of this vibe in such a suburban area. So if you're tired of sports bars and want to enjoy a drink in and adult space where screaming kids are less likely, check it out! read more

A few college buddies and I needed to pull and audible for a D&D session, and we happened to be in the Westbury. This spot came recommended to me, and it didn't disappoint The exterior is vibrant and inviting. I expected a typical gaming hall, but the interior is actually quite more modern, chic, and somehow cozy The staff is friendly and efficient. We got our drinks ordered and brought to us in a timely manner. I watched the bar tenders prepare some of the artisanal drinks, and a lot of effort, skill, and care goes into the making of each Drop of the Creator distills their own vodka, gin, whiskey, and tequila spirits. You can try one of their many signature drinks or one of their twists on a classic (all made with one of their home distilled base liquors). There is a list of mocktails, and they even have beer and spirit flights. We didn't try any, but the do have food on the back of their drink menu The drinks are tasty and look very appetizing. I would recommend "the drop," "the sassy," and the "vodka of sodaburg." The Mexican lager fell a little flat, and the London mule tasted a little like artificial lime/essential oils There is a lounge interior space that is fun for a more intimate vibe. You can also get a view of their shiny and dare I saw "pretty" stills and equipment in the back. If you make your way further into the back there's another bar, and what is essentially patio seating in a trendy garage environment/vibe. You can bring games, they also have some yard games, darts, and a handful of others We played in the garage, and it was fairly hot at the end of the day. There is an industrial fan, but you will sweat Some tips: this spot is dog friendly, and there is plenty of seating. Especially, in the cooler hours, it's a perfect little oasis just outside the city. They are closed mon-Wed, and they close at 9pm on Thursday and Sunday. We enjoyed our first visit to this distllery. The food and drinks and service were stellar. The make some beer and they've started making a few spirits that won't be ready to drink for a few years. The charcuteire box was very good. The Drop Supreme pizza was perfect. Pepperoni, Italian sausage, onion, mushrooms and tomatoes. They recommend pairing it with one of their beers, I did and it was very good, Joe's lite lager. My wife enjoyed a Texas Whiskey Well and diet coke, it was pretty good. Came to visit 2nd time. Drinks are great and staff is super nice. Local bar that makes its own beer and spirits. Lots of fancy cocktails to choose from and the vibe is super chill. Cocktails were ok but slow to come out. Beer was good. Pizza was good although we found the sauce too sweet. Also on the smaller size for the price. However service was friendly and the place is clean and gives a great neighborhood bar vibe. Come with friends, with the fam or on date night. They have darts, tvs and some games. A pool table would be a great addition in the future. The place appears to still be under development as there's boxes and stuff laying about. I'm the happy hour person at a local elementary school. I brought a group of about 40 people in for Happy Hour just like I have in the past. At around 7:30, while our local school band was playing the female waitresses told me I could no longer be served for being too loud. Friendly neighborhood spot with great drinks and great food at reasonable prices. Pizza was delicious and with the varied selection of cocktails they have something for everyone. Patrick walked us through the options from food to beverage, flight of beer, flight of spirits, spread of cocktails and tasting of the spirits in the quieter sophisticated tasting room.
