You cannot sleep on these drinks! The flights here are next-level hands down amazing and worth every penny. We tried the vodka, whiskey, and rye flights, and each one was a masterclass in flavor. Every sip was smooth, balanced, and packed with character. And let's talk about the pork belly, babe...10/10. Melt-in-your-mouth perfection with the right touch of crisp and seasoning. Beyond the incredible drinks and food, the service was top-notch attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable, and always ready with recommendations. The ambiance? A perfect mix of Texas yet inviting, with a vibe that makes you want to stay for "just one more." Whether you're here for a casual night out or a special occasion, this place delivers in every way. Don't walk run!

Wow what an awesome place, however needs better management though. Tried to order drinks and food at bar but was turned away. Short staffed makes it challenging to enjoy. However whisky is awesome! Music's was awesome on Saturday night, great live music !!!! Would return for the drinks and live music, but don't like waiting for someone to take my order nor being turned away from bar (who does that? )

Can only vouch for the drinks - they're pretty legit. Average Houston cocktail prices aka not cheap, and the ambience is super cute. Second story in a warehouse setting, low lighting, great photo ops, picnic tables & bar seating. Great for large or small groups, and the waitresses were very helpful!

Ben's Den is a new whiskey bar located right inside the Gulf Coast Distillers. The whiskey distillery itself has been around since 2016, but Ben's Den is a bar and tasting room that, well, it's the nicest I've seen in any Texas Distillery; and I've been to many. There's a full cocktail menu, along with whiskey flights that feature more labels than just Gulf Coast. There's an assortment of whiskey labels to choose from. The decor is industrial with a modern Texas twist... giant Jenga, corn hole, picnic tables, TVs with sports... (Big thank you to the barkeep Mike for putting on Pretty Woman for us!) Right now, there is a Yelp check-in offer for a complimentary cocktail. If that doesn't persuade you to drop in, then my review + photos should! Cheers!

My new favorite place!! Very unassuming when you pull into the lot of an industrial building but walk upstairs to a gorgeous bar with AMAZING craft cocktails and food! The crispy garlic Brussels sprouts melt in your mouth, the loaded fried with pork belly...enough said. So good! The place is super spacious. Will be back again and again.

This place is truly a hidden gem. I am a big fan of whiskey. So I was longing to visit Gulf Coast Distillery. From the outside the building looks like an industrial factory but once you walk in and up the staircase its a WOW FACTOR! The whole set up is very neat, tidy and cool! All of the food sampled was great next we move to the drinks... my first was the old fashioned of course and what was served to me was a smoked old fashioned. It was unexpected and very much appreciated upgrade. The second drink was a rye old fashioned which was perfect. Will definitely return back to sample the whole menu.

    Bar area

Ben's Den (inside of the distillery) is a great spot for cocktails and food. We tried several things on the menu and everything was delicious. Two very tasty beers on tap, and more coming soon. Highly recommend any of the bourbons/whiskeys or gin. This will become a regular stop in EADO.

The location was really nice, the private room was great and the vibes were awesome. Unfortunately, my experience with Nikki Harris, who is also listed as a general manager, has been the complete opposite. For months, I have been asking how I can actually receive my wines, and I have the emails to prove it. I never received a single response or clear direction. The whole communication around this has been terrible. When Nikki finally did reply, it was with a rude and dismissive message, one that I've attached here for transparency, without ever acknowledging my prior outreach. This is not the way paying customers should be spoken to or treated, especially when they have been spending money and not able to get clarity on their products. I had already canceled my membership before this exchange, but had I not, I certainly would have afterward. Her tone and lack of professionalism were unacceptable, and it made clear to me that she does not understand what respectful customer service looks like. She also had to backtrack on her email without even knowing the facts. The worst! I understand that closures and operational challenges happen, but respect and clear communication should never be optional. Unfortunately, Nikki Harris demonstrated neither.

We were not able to take the tour but that's okay, I'm familiar with how whiskey is distilled. So we arrived and had cocktails and food. We sat at the bar area. The staff were friendly and service was good. I enjoyed everything I tried. The best thing I had was a straight pour of the cask strength rye whiskey. I recommend you taste the spirits straight up to get more flavor and I thought the cocktail flavors were okay, need a bit more depth imo. I love the open space of the tasting room/bar area, the lighting is nice and there's good ambiance. The outdoor back patio is nice as well with a good view of downtown. Most fun was their presentation of the smoked whiskey cocktail.

What truly stood out were the lessons for novices like myself. Arielle took the time to explain each wine in detail, from its origin to its flavor profile, making sure we all better understood our own preferences and are able to order/ buy wines more confidently in the future. I left feeling like I had learned so much about wine, and for weeks have been telling everyone I know they must go learn from Everywine! The selection of wines was fantastic, ranging from crisp whites to bold reds, ensuring there was something for every palate. Each pour was expertly curated allowing us to explore a variety of styles and regions, surprising us with unique wines that didn't fit their conventional norms. Overall, I cannot recommend this winetasting experience enough for birthdays, bachelorettes or dates. Whether you're a seasoned wine connoisseur or a novice looking to learn more, this course is sure to delight and I'll be going back again asap for other classes. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

When my friend made the reservation, she received an email encouraging customers to visit the tasting room before or after dinner. We showed up an hour early to visit the tasting room, however the host had no idea what we were talking about. Turns out they weren't doing tastings. Luckily, we didn't have to wait to be seated. We initially had a table that was not near a heat lamp, however an employee came over and let us know that we could switch to a table near the heat lamp which was appreciated because it was chilly. Our server was Laura. She was nice and funny. They had $25 flight specials. I went with the Sayanara Flight which had white wines. I really enjoyed them and they weren't too sweet. My friend had an NA wine which she enjoyed. We ordered the Truffle Fries and Meatballs. Both dishes were tasty. I enjoyed the aioli that came with the fries. They had discounted wines for purchase. Not all bottles were 50% off, however the gentleman that we spoke to went ahead and gave me a 50% discount on both the rosé and pinot grigio that I purchased which was so appreciated! It seems like there are quite a few businesses around town that are closing. I'm sad to see Mutiny go, but I'm glad my friend and I got to dine in on their final night.

"Closing time, you don't have to go home But you can't stay…read morehere." - Semisonic I have lived in the loop for 5 years now, and I'm sad to say that I finally tried Mutiny on their last day. I often pass by it going through a shortcut to I-45 and sometimes going home around the area. It's literally a 5-minute drive. I booked reservations Friday since I saw they opened up the 31st on Resy. It wasn't earlier in the week, but I knew it was the last day, and my friend and I really wanted to try. I'm glad we made reservations because they were at capacity (150 person capacity) and weren't taking any walk ins. We got there early cause Resy suggested checking out the Tasting Room before or after the reservation time. We got there about an hour earlier, and the host said he didn't know anything about that except that the Tasting Room area was used for events. Interesting. We were seated earlier on the patio on this freezing evening. At first, we were at a table that didn't have a heat lamp, but when one freed up, they were so nice to suggest that we move closer to the heat lamp since they saw us shivering. Lol. We were thankful for that. I wore fleece lined jeans and brought gloves and a beanie anyway having been in the below freezing winter in London. Laura was our server and was kind and funny. So was this other guy who checked in every now and then. He made light of their last day situation. The dining area is so beautiful inside. I love the limestone-looking interior and chandeliers. Reminds me of Fredericksburg or something. They had many large groups and a few small groups of friends or couples dining on this last day. Way to go out with a bang. A lot of the wines were selling out or already sold out around 7-8 pm. We tried the truffle fries and Sicilian meatballs with focaccia bread. I like the thick cut of the fries and the black garlic aioli. It reminded me of yuca fries. The Sicilian meatballs were a bit small, peppery and salty. I wish the marinara was a little more tart. The focaccia helped cut through the saltiness. I had 2 glasses of the NA Sauvignon blanc which was light and a little tart. They ran out of the NA red blend. My friend ordered Sayonara, one of their farewell flights which were aptly named for "goodbye". It was a great night on the patio but chilly. My friend purchased a rosé and a Pinot Grigio as part of their Last Sail wines. Actually, the Pinot Grigio wasn't part of the sale, and he was going to take off 20%, but he also made it 50% off. So nice!! I'm glad we got to try them on their last day. Bon voyage, Mutiny.

I really wanted to be able to continue recommending this company, which is what makes this…read moresituation so disappointing. I have used this company multiple times in the past and had always had a wonderful experience. In fact, I was comfortable enough with my previous experiences that I chose them again when I planned a girls' trip to Fredericksburg a few months ago. The actual wine tour was wonderful, and we had a great time. I had no issues with the service during the trip or immediately afterward. Unfortunately, what happened afterward has completely changed how I feel about using this company in the future. Several weeks after our trip, multiple people from our group began noticing unauthorized charges associated with the company on their credit/debit cards. What initially seemed like it could potentially be an isolated issue quickly became concerning when more people in our group reported experiencing the same thing. One person reported a second unauthorized charge from the company, and another person reported being charged $106. Some members of our group reached out to the company directly before disputing the charges with their banks. The responses we received were concerning and, in my opinion, did not provide enough explanation or reassurance. In one case, the company indicated that the refund had been initiated and said they were blocking potential double charges. However, the communication also suggested that the additional charge may have resulted from the customer accidentally placing another order. That explanation was difficult to reconcile with the fact that multiple people from the same group experienced similar unauthorized charges. Another member of our group was told that the company would refund the charge, but there was initially no clear explanation for why the charge occurred. Because of the uncertainty, some people ultimately felt they had no choice but to dispute the charges directly with their banks. One person even canceled their card because they believed the charge was fraudulent. I personally have not received one of these unauthorized charges, so I want to be very clear that I am not writing this review because I was personally charged or because I had a bad experience during the tour. My concern comes from watching multiple friends deal with unexpected charges after we used this company and seeing how difficult it has been to get a clear explanation or resolution. What is especially disappointing is that I genuinely liked this company before this happened. I had used them successfully before, recommended them to my friends, and trusted them enough to book another experience with them. I therefore feel a responsibility to share what happened so that other customers can make an informed decision. I am not claiming to know exactly how these charges occurred, and I am not interested in unfairly accusing anyone of something I cannot prove. However, the fact that multiple people in our group experienced unauthorized charges, including repeat charges for at least one person, is extremely concerning. The company's response has also not given us the level of clarity or confidence I would expect when customers are reporting potentially fraudulent transactions. I hope the company takes this seriously, investigates what happened, provides a clear explanation to the affected customers, and makes sure this does not happen to anyone else. Until then, unfortunately, I would have a hard time recommending this company to friends or feeling comfortable using them again.
