I hired Clutter and Hoarding Pros to sort through an enormous storage unit filled with years and years of "stuff", spanning decades and at least 3 moves. I needed to downsize to a smaller unit. Michelle and Anika showed up and made this process bearable (and dare I say almost enjoyable because the are truly awesome people!). Michelle was great. I hired her to help me organize my move as I was downsizing from a house into an apartment. She sorted through all my things in the garage and throughout the house and helped me to get rid of unneeded clutter. She helped to pack up the entire house, helped to organize my move, went to the donation center for me, and coordinated a junk hall. Updated to include an issue. After clean out had been completed, when our painter was going through, it was discovered that some things had been missed, including a lot of old things under the kitchen sink, which we were then expected to clean out ourselves. I contacted the owner but was told they had checked and had taken care of everything, so someone must have put things back (???). Did not happen, as the house was unoccupied and unlivable. I have used Michelle for many years. She is Great! In addition, she is professional, non-judgemental and has a great sense of humor. She helped me close up my three office business. I had 10 years of stuff. She has also helped me pack up my kitchen in my home before I had the remodel people come in. Helped me decide what to discard and what to keep so the task of putting stuff back was a breeze. My home office is my "basement" it seems to get all the stuff I can't find a place for at the time. We had Clutter Pros come out and help us get rid of a lot of junk and organize stuff. Michelle came out to assess the situation and said it wasn't very bad and that it would probably only take a day to finish. I knew we weren't at the level of some of the hoarding they've seen but we just couldn't get it done on our own and knew we needed help. We settled on a date and the two young ladies came out right on time and got to work. I couldn't believe how fast they tore through the living room and it was emptied out and organized in no time. They moved on to the other rooms and the garage and by the end of the day we had thirty bags and boxes of stuff to donate and a giant pile of stuff to have hauled away to the dump. Today I had my appointment with Clutter and Hoarding Pros. Michael and Tessa are a great team to have when you need to declutter and have no clue where to begin. They are professional and there is no judgement. They keep you motivated to keep on going and helped with moving around some furniture. I thought my appointment was not going to fill up the truck but it did! The hauling is a separate fee but it is worth it as Michael will haul trash and donations away, so have your check book ready so that Michael can haul away all the mess and you will be left with a fresh start. We spoke again when I had additional questions and she asked for pictures to give me an estimate if it would take one day or two. Michelle and her team made this difficult and highly emotional job of cleaning out a family home handed from one generation to the next, occupied for 65 years, the last resident a Hoarder who had been helped, re-cluttered, helped, re-cluttered for 25+ years, manageable. The final scope was 220,000 lbs hauled off the property (inside and out) - all within 4 days. Inside crew (3) was kind, respectful, watchful for hidden treasures, and were sensitive to my emotions at all times. Outside crew (4-5 depending on day), who were as good as the inside crew. Yard, garage, stable area, front porch - they were told to throw it all away except a very few select items in the garage. They were smart enough to ignore my instructions to "throw it all away" and instead drew my attention to several boxes they thought should not be disposed of without my specific consent - turned out these boxes contained the family's fine china, crystal and other treasures! These people are not machines, they truly understood the situation I was coping with. I highly recommend Michelle and told everyone on the crew they should not hesitate to use me as a reference if needed. Where do I begin. My experience with Michelle and her team was nothing short of phenomenal. My great aunt died here in California and I was nominated to attend to her affairs here and I am from out of state. My mother is a hoarder so I called Michelle to have her help us clear out her 3,600 square foot home which she is putting up for sale. I sent her pictures and a few days later within the week she came to see the home in person. She came out on New Years day which I was impressed by because no one works New Years day. She agreed to help my siblings and I because we had no clue where to start. The remediation was started on 01/11 and finished by 01/13.
