She turned my apartment--essentially a storage space for all my crap--into a neat, livable space that you can actually WALK in. Jeni was nothing short of amazing! I was astonished with how much we accomplished in 3 short hours working together on a small office I needed help decluttering and clearing out. We cleared out my office so I can use it for work and house guests. I now have my guest room back!! Jeni neatly organized all my books and photo albums that I wanted to keep; and everything else we were able to sort into garbage, donation, sell, and clothing swap (something my friends and I do quarterly). Jeni helped me set aside a few piles of paper and such that I need to tackle on my own, and she armed me with a plan to make this project manageable. Not only did Jeni help me tackle this project, she efficiently reorganized many of my other storage spaces to keep me on the organized track. During the time we worked together, she had great ideas and implemented those ideas right on the spot; hanging up hooks, hammering in nails to hang artwork, and created an outbox in an area I would never have thought of. She also does this incredible follow up where she emails you a task list of all the things we spoke about and additional items she has jotted down while we were working together, complete with links of where to buy any needed items. Hiring Jeni was a total game-changer--truly money and time well spent. Over four sessions, she helped my husband and I downsize and reorganize our 780-sq-foot apartment and storage unit. It's incredible what we accomplished--and how much we donated and threw away--in that time. She's a force-multiplier for what can be done in three-hour blocks. I was originally shocked by her price. She assured me most clients don't need a second sessions. Given that my apt is only 400 sq feet and I'd already had 2 organizers spend 6 hours helping me, I felt assured that she would be able to leave me in good shape. I very clearly stated my goals for the session at the outset. Midway through I had to take a painkiller for a nerve injury, one which prevents me from being able to lift on my own. Despite my request that she not do so, she stacked multiple boxes that I hadn't sorted yet on top of my closet, and I will now need to hire someone to bring them back down. She wanted a shelf moved to the kitchen, great idea, but not dumping the contents onto my floor and taking 20 minutes to do so. After she left and my mind cleared from taking the pain medication, I found multiple boxes shoved into corners. My desk is unusable because my blanket storage is apparently underneath, rather than using one of the multiple empty drawers or storage bins I had put out to use for under bed storage. I appreciate having my heavy seltzer bottles put onto a shelf for me but I can pay a cleaning professional $25 an hour for that; she charges $125 an hour which is 2x the rate many other organizers charge. She also made an extremely insensitive remark when I became distraught because barbecue smoke was coming into the apt (I have asthma). In my 400 sq foot apt, we barely made noticeable headway in maybe half of the space. My friend who came over the next day saw no difference. She did not give me an action plan to resolve the outstanding issues. When I emailed her with these concerns, and explained that I had taken $ to pay her out of my savings account, she dismissed it all with a "you should have told me your goals," which I had done. The other organizers I had worked with also offered significant assistance with removing unwanted items after organizing and identifying items to purchase. She told me to hire someone to move my a/c. I would have stuck with the other organizers but due to heath reasons I needed someone who could commit to not wearing any fragrance, also I believed her pitch that one 3 hour session would get the job done. A shameless, unethical and ineffective worker. There are so many other options out there. She does not deserve to be in your home. read more

Jeni was absolutely fantastic. Her services were my husband's wedding present to me, because when we got married and moved in we had about twice as much stuff as we had space. We couldn't afford a whole lot of time with Jeni but she was really accommodating and gave us homework to do so that when she was with us, we could maximize our time. In between sessions she followed up with great emails containing links of things to get (replacing some furniture and some organizing items). She always worked within our budget and we felt so respected. It felt right away like having a friend over-- she was so helpful and fun to be with, and make the work quick. And our apartment is now beautiful! I'd say we got rid of about half of our stuff (we wanted to do a big purge) and she helped us set up systems to keep it clean. Jeni is amazing. I nearly had to have more children because I lost the first two I had in the mountainous piles of toys that consumed my living room. But after one session with her, I found my kids and all is well! Seriously, though. I was so overwhelmed after many instances of trying to organize "by myself". I know it sounds kind of odd that an adult cant figure out their cupboards without help, but she made me see storage and organization in a whole new light. Not to mention- it's much easier to go through things when you have someone to help you decide if it's necessary or not. (Who knew that one didn't need 700 sippy cups?) She compiled a list of storage items for me making it very easy for me to know what exactly I needed to make things look neat and create a place/home for everything. And now even my kids are into it! (This goes in the truck bin. This goes in the doll bin. Etc.) My husband was also thrilled at what we were able to get done in just three short hours. I loved working with Jeni.
