Breakfast burrito (bland)
Diala A.

My husband and I came here for a quick bite to eat but it honestly took way too long and the food was average quality at best. It was rather busy, so a wait is understandable but we both ordered very simple dishes (a pre made breakfast burrito and some avocado toast). My two slices of avocado toast ended up being one avocado toast with one BLT toast. I didn't want to point it out to change it since it already took over 20 minutes to get the food. It's a shame because the space is cute and seems nice for small groups, but the service and food made it not worthwhile.

Our table - we have been sitting here for 35 minutes unable to get anyone's help in clearing the table.
Beth D.

As other posters have said the service here is terrible and wait is over 35 minutes at this point after ordering. I made eye contact with a server to clear our table and he looked at me and then proceeded to ignore me and walk past me as I asked him to bus the table we are sitting at. No idea what the food is like but they seem severely understaffed or just extremely unfocused on customer service. It says there are vegan options but there isn't really - a bagel was the only thing we found. The guy behind the counter suggested gluten free biscuit after we described my son has a severe allergy to egg and dairy and then gave us a bagel with butter on it that we had to send back. Definitely a bummer. Food looks good overall!

Great service and atmosphere! It was busy inside with lots of people working but we got our items quickly. The gluten free cookie was so delicious and flavorful. The coffee was smooth and not too bitter. Delicious!

I REALLY wanted to love this place. Had been wanting to come here for some time now. I waited until Christmas Saturday morning and went too late enough in the day there shouldn't be overcrowding. SERVICE // Less than impressive. I was waiting in line and a man went to step in front of me who had a breakfast bagel. The cashier looked right past me and looked at him, so he stepped in front of me. His food for the second time wasn't done properly. He ordered a bagel with cream cheese and twice now he got a breakfast sandwich. FOOD // I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and a 12 oz latte. I did order it originally for here. But then I looked around, and there was no seating available, so I changed it to go. They took my number and passed the information along to the barista. Apparently, it did not make it to the barista because she handed me a ceramic mug with a latte. The design was very pretty, and when I mentioned to her, it was to go. She stated they did not tell her that. So she literally poured it into an 8 oz cup, and that was all I got. The big with cream cheese was a huge disappointment. It was supposed to be in everything bagel it turned out to be in onion bagel. Was not toasted as I had requested and was just barely a smathering of cream cheese. Not what I'm used to at all. That did, however, come in a small bag to go. AMBIANCE // The ambiance, I will say, however, is a definite hit. Large enough space with small wooden chairs and tables. Some of the chairs are not evenly balanced. So you will need to make adjustments. There is seating along the window at the bar if you can get it and a small waiting area that has a couch with a small space for seating. They did, however, provide plenty of room for their merchandising. They have t-shirts, hats, candles, coffee filters, mugs & other ancillary items for sale, all with Clyde insignia, who is named after their dog. PARKING // Parking is very similar to being in a large city. It's virtually non-existent. They have about eight or nine spots. Be sure not to park in the Charles Schwab because they will tell you I observed it one day. And then there is street parking on the weekends free during the weekday, not so much. IN TOTALITY // Will I be back, well let's see. I may give it a second try on another weekend.. if there's nothing else better open and if I can find parking. Overall, this was a bit of a disappointment. I had heard such high reviews of this place and was really looking forward to it. I believe more customer service and attention to detail, with diligence and confirming an order before it goes out and less concerned about getting payment from as many customers as they can get through as quickly as they can.

Lil' luck of the with this Irish Cream Latte. It tasted like the end of a . Ham and cheese croissant was yum too! This shop is so cute and feels so cosy. It was humming with locals and a nice place to work remote if you like that coffee shop feel. It also had a good amount of merch and local artisan cups and mugs. Had my eye on a cute flower mug all week. Update: went back for the flower mug and someone beat me to it

They had an extra breakfast burrito that didn't get claimed, so they hooked me up. Not too bad of a deal -- I must say.

Quaint little coffee shop in the middle of downtown Missoula! Was looking for a coffee shop that opened early and I got my wish! Came to Missoula for a quick work trip and was happy that I found this place close by. The atmosphere is definitely hip and trendy. The coffee is super delicious! I got a small latte with maple syrup recommended by my barista. It was like breakfast and coffee all in one! I also tried a avocado toast and it was really good. Definitely a must try if you're looking for your morning fuel! If you're touring Missoula make sure you take home a cute souvenir or two!

Visiting Missoula for the week and worked remotely here one of the days. I really enjoyed my time here! There are outlet options on the long barstool table for charging. Internet seemed to work well. Food and pastry options. I got a delicious GF coconut almond scone! One of the best I've had. The blood orange roobios tea I had with steeped almond milk was divine. Also tried a sip of the coffee which tasted very smooth. Great atmosphere and vibe. I would definitely come back if I lived here.

Came here on a Saturday late morning for some breakfast and coffee. It was an expected busy for a Saturday but nothing too crazy. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and a cold brew. Cold brew was excellent. It took over 25 minutes for me to get my sandwich - a little heads up about this would have been nice, as I'm not sure I would've waited that long had I known. Or I would have ordered a pastry to eat as I was waiting since I was quite hungry. I understand being backed up on food, but in a fast casual spot like this, you should tell customers what kind of wait to expect. Once I got the sandwich, I thoroughly enjoyed it. There is a nice patio with outdoor seating and a good amount inside, as well. I found the chairs to be a little uncomfortable, so probably not a spot to sit for a long time. Overall cute spot with good coffee and food!

Clyde Coffee It was an arduous experience due to the repugnant service of Clyde Coffee employees. On a special celebratory occasion, my family and I decided to check out Clyde Coffee on a whim it had been a coffeehouse we were excited to explore. For such a cute space filled with eclectic doodads and funky artwork, the atmosphere amongst the employees and customers alike was filled with snarky comments and tense energy. The employees barked at each other in obnoxious tones. Some Clyde employees talked down about the other workers, owner/manager, and customers making pejorative statements with no conscious of consequences for their intentional bad behavior. It seemed as if they were comfortable with showcasing inimical character with zero regard. However, after observing for an extended period due to the long wait in line, filled with unhappy customers communicating their disappointment. I decided to prevail in hopes that we would have a healthier experience. Instead, I was met with other customer's frustration repeatedly having their orders re-made due to inaccuracy, missing food, drinks, quality, temperature, etc. This inevitably became our storyline by proxy. Bad service inspired many fellow customers to skip those of us who had waited quietly in line despite the unnecessary podunk high school drama happening in front of us in what is supposed to be a professional business setting. Needless to say, we (my family and I) made it to the front during the ordering process we dealt with an unkind employee(s) who attempted to rush us with our order, over-talked when placing the order, and then proceeded to boldly demand that we should leave a tip after the less than sub-par disservice that was received. When all was said and done the order was inaccurate it had to be replaced a solid four times, the food was stale and the drinks were barely lukewarm. The one employee decided purposefully not to communicate/say my name to let me know when my order was completed. I stood there for 10-15 minutes or so waiting with another customer (whose order was also incorrect) making friends until we both decided to speak up and ask if our orders were completed. This place needs massive energetic renovating and a whole new set of people to make Clyde's Coffee what it can be. I recommend the owner take the opportunity to observe when and where she can upgrade the severe lack of higher consciousness that exists within the people, place, and space of herself that is mirroring the environment of her business.

The vibe in here is so fun! I was able to snag a table pretty easily even though they were busy. I definitely recommend Clyde's if you're looking for a coffee shop in the Missoula area.

Love the productive yet calm atmosphere of this coffee shop. Very rustic, bright and welcoming. I can't speak for the food, but drinks are excellent. They have your classic espresso drinks and are aesthetically pleasing if dining in. I also loved their coconut oolong iced tea! Great local coffee shop to check out if you are in Missoula!

This was my first stop while in Missoula. The aesthetic indoors and outdoors was really cool. The parking is a nightmare, like I had to park blocks away. When you first enter the shop it's quite overwhelming/intimidating but the staff was very helpful & friendly. The menu had tons of options for food & coffee! There was limited seating indoors so moved to the patio. But the biggest issue is that they don't have an order delivery system. I had to periodically walk back inside to look for my coffee. And then the employee struggled to find & deliver my food outside. I'd definitely give it another shot if in Missoula!

The pastry case is impressive with a huge selection of pastries, bagels, and goodies, including massive pies that are hard to resist. Coffee and tea options cover all the standard classics, plus some fun twists that keep the menu interesting. The coffee is good for the area but nothing outstanding. The space itself is large with plenty of seating options, and it never feels overly crowded, which is a big plus if you want to sit and relax for a while. Unfortunately, the service has gone downhill. The baristas used to be incredibly friendly, remembered drink orders, and made you feel genuinely welcome. Lately, it feels rushed and impersonal, like you're just being pushed through the line with little acknowledgment. The experience has been very hit or miss, which makes it hard to want to return regularly. I've NEVER experienced it in Montana but market on front has SO many delicious options for every dietary preference. I decided on a portobello pesto sandwich on ciabatta and it was 10/10. The bread, texture and flavor were perfect! Although I was just visiting, I'd be shocked if there were a better sandwich shop in this town. There is also a grab and go and souvenir section that's very convenient. It was busy and we did have to wait a while for our orders but it was so worth the wait. Lost my business. 8 months ago I posted a review about this…read moreplace due to them forgetting my sauce on the side that I pay extra for each time. I love these burritos. They are a specific craving for me pretty dang often. Why? Because I love the burrito mixture with the SAUCE. I order, and because I have only so much time to eat in between patients, I ask for the sauce on the side so it all doesn't get soggy. I put specifically *sauce on the side* Then pay even more for ANOTHER sauce on the side in effort to get them to realize I want a SAUCE ON THE SIDE. More times than not, they have forgotten. The only times they haven't is when I ask the dash driver to confirm. In a moment of severe craving at work yesterday, I said heck with it, I'll order a burrito. Guess what?! NO SAUCE. I called in and in my most pleasant voice, I asked to speak with a manager. I was told they were busy but they would take my number down and have her call me back. NO call ever came. I was complaining to a coworker and sure enough she says "oh, that happened to a coworker last week." After that, I went and checked the reviews. Sure enough there were multiple complaining about not getting sauce on the side. At this point I'm questioning if the employees are just that dense or is this just full on laziness? I'm being ripped off every time for something I shouldn't even have to pay for in the first place. Won't be going back. Definitely won't be suggesting to visiting friends and family either.

I also really appreciated that they offer several vegan options. I ordered the Creamy Blue Smoothie and the Banana Walnut Oatmeal. The oatmeal was absolutely AMAZING--perfectly cooked, flavorful, and easily one of the best breakfasts I've had here. It's the item I'd recommend to everyone. The smoothie was good overall, but the fresh mint was a bit overpowering and left an aftertaste for me. I think it would be even better without the mint or with less of it. I also appreciated that they use compostable straws, although mine was cracked when I unwrapped it. Later, I came back for lunch and ordered the half Brussels Caesar Salad with the vegan protein. The vegan protein (chickpeas and lentils) was delicious, and the half portion was surprisingly large. I also liked that the dressing came already tossed throughout the salad. One thing I found a little confusing was that the Brussels Caesar uses a vegan dressing but is topped with cheese, so I'd be curious what substitution is offered for guests ordering it vegan. The bread was good, although the butter was served very cold and was difficult to spread. A few suggestions that could make the experience even better: * Add a larger "Basal" sign above the entrance to make the restaurant easier to spot. * Install a large wall-mounted menu inside for easier viewing. * Keep tables and chairs wiped down throughout the lunch rush. The restaurant was spotless during breakfast, but by lunchtime several tables and seats needed cleaning. Given the price point, I'd expect a bit more attention to dining room upkeep. Overall: good atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food. I recommend the Banana Walnut Oatmeal.
