My second time visiting this place. Saw Dr. Whitehead for my VA exams. I am very satisfied with the performance of the admin staff. There was no wait time when arriving at my appointment. I had migraines and sensitivity to light that resulted in nausea and dizziness. I came to see Dr Chaunce Phoenix was attentive and listened to my concerns and provided treatment accordingly instead of going down a checklist of items to perform. After the first treatment I could tell a drastic difference in how I was feeling, mi migraines were not as intense and my sensitivity to light was decreasing. After the third treatment my migraines were less and the light sensitivity gone. I've seen Dr. Chaunce only a few times but I'm already very impressed. He was recommended to me by my own chiropractor (who is also awesome) after a car accident for personal injury. He is very knowledgeable, patient, funny, and kind! X-rays were taken to see where my mis-alignments are (if you don't measure, you are guessing!) He explained the x-ray results and made sure I understood and answered my questions patiently. He does not rush through the appointment. During adjustments, he tells you which disc/location he is adjusting so I can see how I feel afterwards. He also provide electrical stimulation treatments for the muscles, which is great! I'm a fitness instructor/ personal trainer so I'm constantly moving and was very worried about the effects the accident has on my body and my trainings. Dr. Chaunce finds out the status of current issues each time I visit, and addresses them. He explains what other symptoms may be occurring so that I can draw my own conclusions later on as to whether or not each specific adjustment was helpful so that I can give feedback the next time I come in. 5 stars! I've referred multiple friends to come in, and I've gotten positive feedback from all of them, that Dr. Chaunce helped them to be more functional, starting with their very first appointment. Scheduling: This was extremely easy and pleasant. I called and inquired if they take Kaiser and the receptionist said that they do! Scheduling with the receptionist was super straight-forward and she was very clear and concise about scheduling me to give me enough time as a new patient (1 hour) and to make sure I wasn't running into anyone's treatment. She took my Kaiser member ID and name so that they could be ready with the copay and benefits. Location: I scheduled myself at 4:15pm and at 4:17pm, someone called from their office to see where I was in case I was having trouble finding the place... I had said that I was on my way and it was no problem, but I arrived a little late bc Waze took me to the other side of the plaza where there were other businesses which is facing the DMV. It is in the kitty-corner/caddy-corner of Costco on the opposite side... There will be a sign that says 2114 Office that is connected to the side facing the DMV but it's on the opposite side of that plaza. Walking in: Even though I was late about 10 minutes, I was still greeted happily by 4 chiropractic assistants! It didn't seem fake either... they all seemed like they were genuinely happy that I had made it. The office is very practical... not very modern... but not old... they even had cuties/halo oranges for their waiting room! The receptionist took my ID, Kaiser card, and FSA card and obtained my copay while I filled out the new patient intake form... The new patient intake form is very hefty... but they will literally read everything you put on there bc they are super thorough and for good reason! My copay was $15 and it included an x-ray of a single region, the adjustment, and the office visit. Going back: When I was able to go back into the exam rooms, the chiro assistant checked my vital signs such as weight, BP and pulse. She also loaded my complaints, levels of pain, and other notes into the system and she seemed very knowledgeable of chiropractic and healthcare in general. Dr. Chaunce: He is so incredibly knowledgeable... he explains how each section of your back is connected to a certain body function and will illustrate what he thinks is happening in easy to understand analogies. When he spoke to me, I felt like I understood everything he was saying. He genuinely cares for you to get better and his reasoning and methods make perfect sense. He gives you ample time to ask questions and to adjust... I never felt rushed. The adjustment: He does diagnostic tests on you which I like bc he gets a baseline of where you are and where you need to be. He measured my leg length, my flexibility range, and posture. Then he took x-rays! This is great bc only 1 of 4 of my past chiros took x-rays and I think that is the only way to find the root of the problem. The x-rays are yours to keep if you choose to btw! He will explain the x-rays on the next visit. When he brought me back to do the actual adjustment... you could tell that when he was palpating my SI joints, back and neck that he knew exactly was he was looking for. Whenever he felt a spot that he thought would be tender... it was tender to me... so he knew exactly the correct areas to adjust. He adjusted my lower back in the side position, then my ribs, middle back, and shoulder... Also, while he adjusted me, he would report what he was adjusting and his assistant would notate it in the system... so he would say, "I'm adjusting her iliac now... I'm adjusting her SI joint now..." etc etc... When he adjusted my NECK though... omg... he felt the tender spot and when he made the specific adjustment to that cervical vertebrae... ooooh my god... I felt so many bones go into place and it was so audible! I have had neck adjustments before, but they have never been so specific. It feels great. He also did a little version of Active Release Therapy on my R forearm for my tendonitis which was pretty cool bc usually I would be charged like.. $50 extra at any other clinic... Overall... I am sold... I have my first follow up on Friday and I'm super excited to go back. I even made an appointment for my boyfriend to go too! read more

So many good things to say... where shall I start?! 1. The staff is awesome and friendly! They make you feel very welcome, can tell that they love thier job and are on point with customer service from start to finish. When I was working on my laptop, they brought a folding table into the room so that I could work more ergonomic while waiting for my appointment (I was early). 2. Dr. Chaunce does wonders! He is very professional and a great educator. When he is adjusting, he explains what he is doing and what it connects to. This is great because it helps me be more aware of what is happening with my body and what I can work on. 3. Also, he is not pushy about selling anything and only gives you the infomation for you to make an educated decision about your health. He is all about givng care and making sure his patients are well-informed. 4. Dr. Chaunce also adjusted my TMJ, which I didn't know you could adjust. I've spent a little more than a month at Dr. Chaunce's office recovering from a car accident. I stumbled upon this place from a word of mouth and the services was as good as the advertisement. All the staffs at CMC from Victoria, Danielle, Lindsay, to George treated me sincerely and with care. They always made sure that I was comfortable from my first visit to my last. Getting treated from a doctor is one thing but most of the time, it's the staffs who spend more time with the patients. This is not to discount Dr. Chaunce's work. He's a fabulous doctor with vast knowledge. He listened, responded, and performed base on my feedback. He's not one of those doctors where you told him you have symptom A and he prescribed you medicine B. If he did, he'll explain to you why it was the case. I like the fact that he showed enthusiasm of being there treating his patience. He liked seeing his patients get better. I felt he spent an adequate amount of time with me and was not at all felt rushed like the rest of the family care clinics. I have never been anywhere else beside CMC and will probably never will. I love this place ! I recently got into a car accident and my attorney recommended me here. When I first walked in they greeted me and I filled out some papers and when I came back for my first appointment they already knew my name. Dr. Chaunce is a wonderful doctor. He really exams your body and see what needs to be improved. I went there for a month and every time I go there, they make me feel welcomed. Its a wonderful place to get your spine fixed.
