The first handbag was terrific and when my colleagues saw the functionality and design, they said it was much superior to any of the "designer" bags they had purchased. It had exterior pocket to hold keys and cell phone or sunglasses. The interior was well organized into sections. My first purse served me well. It remained in great condition in spite of being crammed in lockers, dropped in puddles and tossed in the back seat and crammed with all those things that a family hands Mom to carry. I finally retired it. It was replaced by a second purse from D'Onofrio in the same design. My first purse was in such great condition, that it was gratefully accepted by an organization that provides business wardrobes for women who have escaped abusive relationships and are starting out anew. I have used the two handbags 90+% of the time for daily use. The handbags have remained attractive and functional. I really recommend D'Onofrio's products, based on my experience with their work.

He repaired my 10-year-old 6" L.L.Bean duck boots…read morewhen the stitching had come apart between the rubber foot/sole and the leather upper on the insides of the ankles on both boots. Because the rubber and the leather were both still intact, he was able to reattach them. A relatively simple job, but one that required the skills and materials of a Master Shoe and Boot Cobbler. I love L.L.Bean, but they only offer the *possibility* of repairing Bean boots and it would take anywhere from 3-8 weeks to get them back. George looked my boots over and assessed the repair in under ten minutes (while I stood at his counter in stocking feet!) I appreciate and respect his policy that "custom work requires custom pricing." In other words, don't hesitate to ask for an estimate so that you're not surprised! George won't be unkind or embarrass you if you decide you need to consider the cost of a repair. I dropped one star only because I called twice to ask if my boots were done.

Making a command decision on my own I went to this cobbler in Ct since our very very local one has retired. I was EXTREMELY surprised at the work done. They came back polished and all the tiny nics on the heel leather had been fixed as best as possible but they look as good as new.
