One thing I can say from working with him is that there are a lot of misconceptions and false information when it comes to fitness and working out. Working with Eric has set me on the right path as far as how to get the most of my workouts with the time I have. He teaches one how to make sure one gets the most from the exercises while ensuring you don't need to do a two hour workout. He is very attentive to form and diet. I've gotten many insights about those as well. I've been able to see progress in my reps and weights. In just one month working with him I've seen my waist and hip size go down one inch. The bathroom though is incredibly small which is probably why they have half of their supplies in some lockers. However, we were denied entry simply because her ID said "North Hills" instead of "Northridge." North Hills is literally a neighboring local area, so this policy made absolutely no sense. The pass only states that a "local ID" is required, which she clearly had. The staff offered no reasonable explanation and made the situation feel extremely arbitrary and unwelcoming. If there are restrictions by city, they should clearly list them beforehand instead of wasting people's time. Very poor customer service and disappointing first impression.

I enjoyed the classes and the coaches that taught the class. And I enjoyed that I had 24/7 access to the gym. That being said, I paid 300 per month for a year (and more than that during my initial package with check-ins with a coach) and based on what I have seen from other boutique gyms around the area, that is DOUBLE the standard price. 300 dollars, in my opinion is not worth the size of the gym nor the amenities provided. I would happily pay 150 for this gym but that unfortunately is not an option. I do appreciate how often equipment is cleaned, but again that is not worth 300 dollars. Also, both of my favorite coaches left the gym. After the second one left, one that was a favorite of the general clientele, I really saw no more reason to pay exorbitant prices for a gym that happens to be near my home. I did not feel comfortable with the new coaches nor the owners, whom I found a bit unapproachable. I would also point to the fact that most of the many class mates I connected with have left the gym much faster than I did. I do not believe that speaks well about the business that they cannot maintain regulars for a long time. I also made very uncomfortable seeing a woman being allowed to bring her newborn baby in a stroller around heavy weights and barbells for several weeks. No matter how much I thought about it, it was unsafe for the child and also an insult to the patrons who drop a lot of money to access this gym.

The coaches, environment, community, and most importantly workouts are unlike anything I've experienced before. It may not look like it but I've been a part of a few other gyms and this blows anything else out of the water. I moved to LA a year ago (January 2021) and decided to change my life for the better. Finding GoTribe allowed me to do just that. With amazing class programs, encouraging coaches and a wonderful community, I look forward to hitting the gym 6x a week, and I look forward to seeing how much more I can lift, or how much faster I can run, or even how much longer I can go before tapping out. Since joining, I've gone from 306lbs to 226lbs through learning how and when to push myself harder, and especially with nutritional guidance from the coaches. Coach Kiera has been exceptional in encouraging, coaching, and helping me attain my goals. I am truly so thankful for her guidance. There's not much else to say about this place besides JUST TRY IT. It's well worth every penny.
