Robert explained the very reasonable expectation from the team considering my limitations commitment. Robert introduced me to several trainers and members. Everyone seemed to have a very positive energy and made me feel very welcomed. The gym facilities look well maintained and it feels like a safe and non-judgmental environment. I canceled my gym membership at LA Fitness and signed on with Moses Fitness. I'm looking forward to the journey. Thank you for the hook up Robert.

I cannot recommend this gym. This gym helped me a lot in my fitness journey and achieving my goals…read morein terms of health and aesthetics. I enjoyed the classes and the coaches that taught the class. And I enjoyed that I had 24/7 access to the gym. That being said, I paid 300 per month for a year (and more than that during my initial package with check-ins with a coach) and based on what I have seen from other boutique gyms around the area, that is DOUBLE the standard price. 300 dollars, in my opinion is not worth the size of the gym nor the amenities provided. I would happily pay 150 for this gym but that unfortunately is not an option. I do appreciate how often equipment is cleaned, but again that is not worth 300 dollars. Also, both of my favorite coaches left the gym. After the second one left, one that was a favorite of the general clientele, I really saw no more reason to pay exorbitant prices for a gym that happens to be near my home. I did not feel comfortable with the new coaches nor the owners, whom I found a bit unapproachable. I would also point to the fact that most of the many class mates I connected with have left the gym much faster than I did. I do not believe that speaks well about the business that they cannot maintain regulars for a long time. I also made very uncomfortable seeing a woman being allowed to bring her newborn baby in a stroller around heavy weights and barbells for several weeks. No matter how much I thought about it, it was unsafe for the child and also an insult to the patrons who drop a lot of money to access this gym.

All the big windows and light make it a great experience, vs other LA fitnesses that make me feel like I'm in jail. Also weird comment but there are a lot of rlly beautiful people who come here which is nice and encouraging LOL but people aren't super creepy/hitting on girls or anything which is great. Parking is in a garage which I do hate but they validate and there are some free spots if you drive around a bit. BUT!!!! They used to have these massive gorgeous ceiling fans over the cardio equipment to keep the runners cool! Like the treadmills and ellipticals and stuff. And then I guess the fans they had broke and they had to find replacements- IDK if this was a decision from corporate or management (which fans to get) but they downsized MAJORLY. The new fans are so pathetic it's not even funny I'm constantly DRENCHED in sweat and I know it was probably cheaper! They're like fr half the size of the old fans!!!! And I don't want to complain to a front desk person bc it's not their fault! So I can just hope whoever is responsible SEES this review and KNOWS that it was almost five stars!! But bc of their GREED and UNFEELING WAYS I gotta drop it down to 4. Pls put my big fans back.

5 stars - my go-to Equinox location…read more Equinox Studio City is my home gym and I'm here pretty much every day. I've been to Hollywood, DTLA, West Hollywood, Glendale, Santa Monica, and Studio City is still my favorite overall. Biggest thing is cleanliness. For how busy this place gets, it's always maintained. Towels are always stocked, locker rooms are constantly being cleaned, and I've never walked into a shower that was out of products. There's always staff in there keeping everything in check. Another huge win is Erewhon Studio City right next door. You finish your workout and immediately have a solid post-workout meal ready. Nothing beats that. There's no Earth Bar here, but honestly you don't even need it because Erewhon is better. You do have to time your workouts though. Early mornings before 8am are the best, weekends early are even better and usually empty. After 9-10am it starts getting packed, and evenings around 5-7pm are honestly tough if you're trying to get a smooth workout in. People complain about parking because the plaza gets busy, but I've never had an issue. I go early, get a great spot, and I'm out before it gets crazy. One issue I've raised multiple times is people bringing oils into the steam room. When they pour it in, the whole place smells, it sticks to your body and hair, and I've had allergic reactions from it. It happens less now, but when it does it completely ruins the steam room. Feels like something that could be controlled better. The vibe here is more low-key, which I like. People mind their business and just work out. Compared to Hollywood, which can feel more social and sometimes uncomfortable, Studio City feels way more normal and focused. Front desk and trainers are hit or miss. Some are great, some don't even acknowledge you. Trainers here mostly keep to themselves unless you hire them, while other locations feel more welcoming. Not a dealbreaker, just noticeable. Music is at a good level too--it doesn't interfere with your headphones, which I appreciate. At the end of the day, I'm here daily for a reason. If you figure out the timing, this is one of the best Equinox locations in LA.

I actually love working out at Planet Fitness, the space is clean, the equipment is solid, and…read moreoverall it has been a great gym for me. That said, one thing that has been really frustrating is the summer program where high school students can work out for free. I think it is a great idea in theory, getting kids active is a positive thing. The issue is how it is being managed. After typical work hours, when paying members come in to work out, a lot of these teens are occupying machines while filming TikToks or just hanging out, and staff does not step in at all. It ends up putting members in the uncomfortable position of having to say something ourselves, which should not be our responsibility. It would make a big difference if there were designated hours for the student program, for example earlier in the day, and then have them wrap up around 4pm so paying members can actually access the equipment during peak times. Again, I really like this gym, but this situation needs better management.

BREAKING NEWS FROM THE GYM: Apparently, the building has entered its "one more inconvenience and…read morewe're shutting this whole thing down" era. During an actual LA heatwave, the filtered water has been broken for DAYS. Because apparently hydration is now a luxury amenity. Nothing says "fitness" like sweating through a workout and then being told, "Sorry, the water machine is out of order." And the walls? Falling apart. Literally. Meanwhile, half the machines are covered in yellow caution tape like we're filming an episode of CSI: Gym Membership. I understand letting kids in during the summer is a nice thing, but I have to ask: at what cost to the regular gym-goers who are paying to work out in what increasingly feels like a low-budget municipal recreation center? At this point, I'm not sure if I'm here to get my steps in or participate in a live episode of Extreme Gym Makeover: Please Send Help. To be fair, the staff is actually wonderful -- friendly, helpful, and clearly doing their best with what they've been given. The staff gets 5 stars. The facility gets a strongly worded investigative report.
