One thing I can say from working with him is that there are a lot of misconceptions and false information when it comes to fitness and working out. Working with Eric has set me on the right path as far as how to get the most of my workouts with the time I have. He teaches one how to make sure one gets the most from the exercises while ensuring you don't need to do a two hour workout. He is very attentive to form and diet. I've gotten many insights about those as well. I've been able to see progress in my reps and weights. In just one month working with him I've seen my waist and hip size go down one inch. The bathroom though is incredibly small which is probably why they have half of their supplies in some lockers. The restrooms were clean and stocked up but had only two clean showers that had only cold water (sucks! get better Burbank!!) Overall, bach- pad vibes. However, we were denied entry simply because her ID said "North Hills" instead of "Northridge." North Hills is literally a neighboring local area, so this policy made absolutely no sense. The pass only states that a "local ID" is required, which she clearly had. The staff offered no reasonable explanation and made the situation feel extremely arbitrary and unwelcoming. If there are restrictions by city, they should clearly list them beforehand instead of wasting people's time. Very poor customer service and disappointing first impression.

The coaches, environment, community, and most importantly workouts are unlike anything I've experienced before. It may not look like it but I've been a part of a few other gyms and this blows anything else out of the water. I moved to LA a year ago (January 2021) and decided to change my life for the better. Finding GoTribe allowed me to do just that. With amazing class programs, encouraging coaches and a wonderful community, I look forward to hitting the gym 6x a week, and I look forward to seeing how much more I can lift, or how much faster I can run, or even how much longer I can go before tapping out. Since joining, I've gone from 306lbs to 226lbs through learning how and when to push myself harder, and especially with nutritional guidance from the coaches. I've been training with Chris for approximately one month and I must say I'm glad I found him. A skill I instantly appreciated was his communication, which existed prior to beginning any sessions. Chris showed interest in my overall goals as well as any restrictions or concerns I had. After being informed of my knee injury/recovery he did not show any concerns for his ability to develop a program to fit my needs. After just one session I immediately knew I would continue to train with Chris, as I walked away feeling tired but great at the same time. All sessions after have been different keeping me completely interested and excited to be there. That alone keeps me motivated because I can tell he actual cares about what he's doing and puts thought into every session. Another great quality is his ability to motivate. Through out the workouts he continuously motivates and drives you to keep going past what you normally would. Now, after just a few sessions I am able to see muscle definition on my quads, something I had lost after my surgery. I know as long as I continue working with Chris I will reach my physical fitness goals. I was hesitant to pick a trainer off Yelp reviews instead of personal recommendations but I'm glad I took a chance. Chris is a great trainer, motivating and knowledgable but never mean or judgmental. He makes sure you get a good workout, while still making sure it is an enjoyable experience. I've have already seen results in my body composition and I actually look forwards to my workouts now. If you're on the fence, I'd recommend trying it out, I'm so glad I did. P.S I also love the private gym atmosphere, way more comfortable than having other gym members watch you work out.
