We've come in with big groups several times (in August) and have been sat fairly quickly as well which is a bonus with kids. I got a carry out of meatloaf, stroganoff, and chicken fingers. Meatloaf and and stroganoff are both pretty smoky, a bit too much with the stroganoff for me. Definitely add a side of sour cream. More gravy was needed for the meatloaf and potatoes. Meatloaf, veg, potatoes, and cornbread were good. The coleslaw tastes fresh but I prefer chopped slaw to stringy strands that are hard to eat. Ranch is good. I prefer the regular bbq to the honey bbq I tried but it is pretty much what you would expect. The chicken fingers were not the best, thin and overcooked. My husband and I ordered takeout from here, overall the food was kinda hit or miss. The fish wasn't super flavorful and the breading fell off, the chicken tenders were good. We were excited to try this place while visiting Benton Harbor. I ordered the sampler platter with brisket, pulled pork, and chicken wings and my wife had the Cobb Salad. Unfortunately the food quality was disappointing. Portions were plentiful but all three of the meats on the platter were reheated and overcooked. The salad was disappointing and consisted of mostly greens and meat with shredded cheese. It did not look appealing. Service was pleasant and attentive. Put me in coach...I'm ready to eat...today That's not quite how the lyrics go off that beloved 80s tune but you should put yourself in Coach's and eat today. The menu is huge with BBQ, wings, burgers, and other sports bar food. There are TVs everywhere as they have the bar and dining room separate. For my entree, I picked the Smokehouse Sampler. The sampler comes with Brisket, pulled pork, cornbread, and the real MVP, the Uncle John's or Jim's wings. In fact, if I ever eat at Coach's again, I'm ordering just the wings. They are grilled and have a special marinade to them. They also go well with all the BBQ sauces. There are 3 BBQ sauces you can ask for. The Coach's was my favorite as it is mildly sweet and smoky. The Honey BBQ is more thin and sweeter than the Coach's. Then the Carolina is a thick mustard BBQ sauce. I did have to pay extra for sauce though. One 4oz container comes with the platter. The pulled pork was juicy and tender. It was all right. The brisket was Sliced and more of the lean variety and it was all right too. Neither are as good as the wings though. I added mac and cheese as an entree. The mac and cheese are made with elbow macaroni and a layer of cheese. It was all right too. Overall, I like Coach's and would go back especially for the wings. I got the chance to come to Coach's with my parents for an early birthday lunch. The staff was great and they definitely made our visit enjoyable. We were checked on frequently and our waitress was attentive. Unfortunately the food was nothing spectacular. I got the chicken club quesadilla, which was decent. My mom got some bbq chicken dish (which I tried and was delicious) but the veggies just weren't tasty. Thankfully our waitress switched them out for coleslaw when my mom told her they weren't great. My dad got a burger, which is a rarity, and he said it was average but the onion rings just weren't hitting the spot. They were hand battered (which I do usually like) and something just tasted different about them than the normal hand battered onion rings I've gotten. We started off a little disappointed because we'd heard how great the Reuben is here but when we ordered the waitress came out to say the were out of them. My daughter got a chicken sandwich she loved. My son and I got burgers - mine was over done and his was under done, but they both were quite tasty. My son's came with the wrong toppings, though. I have eaten here about 7 times since I've been staying in hotel here and the food had always been good. On St Patrick's Day I came and had their special corned beef and cabbage. What a disappointment. The cabbage was so undercooked I had to really press hard with fork and knife and it wouldn't cut. The corned beef was marginally ok. The carrots must have been cooked earlier and stored in refrigerator and they forgot to reheat; they were that cold. The oven roasted potatoes were perfect and the only item that was prepared and served hot. I told my server but I didn't get a discount on the meal. I took what was leftover and nuked it for lunch the next day but it wasn't salvageable. I have understandably lost my appetite for food there. I still go by for drink a few times a week read more

While the dressing was creamy and had great flavor the positive points ended there. The texture and appearance of the cabbage was as if it was chopped in a wood chopped. Terrible support and service. I called over a week ago for a sports team and families of 36 to celebrate a little girls 11th birthday. I was told while they do not take reservations they could hold the game room for us and that they "do this all the time". They asked me to call about 30 minutes prior to arrival to remind the staff of our arrival and home in on time as planned was for a 15 minute arrival window that had been written down. As the day of our games and birthday celebration approached at 1:13 the day of I called and confirmed that we were all set. The receptionist said yes we have you down and I will remind my manager. Keeping in mind at this point they had my phone number and name on paper. So, as I called 45 minutes before to confirm a receptionist whom I talked to earlier said sorry we don't do reservations. Jessica the very rude then manager got on the phone to inform me they are not suing the game room for the night and cannot serve our party. I asked for her bosses name and she wouldn't give it to me or a phone number to call for help. She finally said to have them come and she would seat them. The team was turned away without being seated and 33 very hungry girls could not celebrate an 11 year old birthday all because of Jessica having some call ins and not putting just one server on the EMPTY game room we were promised.
